Good stuff. I had a feeling that ribbon cable could be left alone. It also might not be a bad idea to either dialectric grease or silicone the plugs inside that case. That's really the only issue you could have with how well they potted that ESC

Thanks bro I appreciate you doing that I’m deciding if I want to buy the V4 I have a v3 bought it a year ago or so I just had a issue with a thin washer busting off in my hub motor and pulled it out before it did anymore damage if you could do me a huge favor because I don’t know anybody with a V4 yet can you see if the sleeves from the mini fit the V4 that would be a deciding factor if I buy the V4 in the near future?

I live in North Queensland Australia and I rode mine through a monsoonal weather system and it was perfectly fine. these boards are nothing short of amazing any other board would have been waterlogged.

Get the bearings on exway. Never have I ever seen waterproof bearings but I’ve rode hundreds of km in rain and they are like new!

Hey can you make another video to show you how you soldered and siliconed the wire you broke, it would be extremely helpful for me because I got the V4 and now I’m worried I would somehow broke that wire and don’t know how to fix it

My 2 V3's have died to flash flooding. Finally getting a new battery for one and hoping that does the trick. The other board is certainly toast.

In Seattle and was lookn for somn a bit more waterproof. Still like the board but am now prolly gonna look more at scooter. Was planin on using it for my 30min commute. Would hate to get this then have it die after 1 rain season. Especially if I have to constantly maintain it. I work 16hr days with my commute😔

mines broke after one rain ride. Working on speaking with Meepo but with no contact number its taking forever to find a resolution. I also use it as my main commuter so this really screwed me. so good luck. I also bought the hurricane just so I'm more comfortable in my ride and hoping that comes any day now

@@deliriousbomba6241 yeah I wound up getn a scooter. If you go that route I recommend solid tires. I got the esqrt and it was awesome till the tire blew. I got some rough roads but it carried me (240lbs total with gear) pretty well. Hills I pump to help it out a bit.

I throw candle wax mixed with rainX around the edges of the board and spread it around with slight bursts of a torch lighter and a soft rag so it doesn’t get too unevenly caked on. Bees wax works good too but I wouldn’t recommend most skate wax tbh bc it cakes up and it doesn’t heat well.

Yoo, Finally someone taking the motors apart. Could you do me a big favor and measure the length and width of the stator? I want to compare them to the v3 motors and what they actually have upgraded. Oh I'm also curious wether the v3 sleeves fit on it! Willing to test?

Ive had a v2 for 3 years and have beaten the hell out of it and was thinking about upgrading. Anyone have any opinions on the v4 vs the mini 2? I am 6'4 like the wide stance of the v2 but I know the v4 is shorter

Lol the water resistance is just a reassurance that it won't malfunction if you ride over a puddle, it's not recommended to ride in the rain just like you wouldn't with a traditional longboard

Please report if a board still alive after 2-3 months after rain exposure. Water damage usually doesnt break electronics right away. My meepo v 1.5 died 2 weeks after some rain action.

shipping is an absolute crapshoot. Some people claim they get their board within 10 days, personally mine took almost 1 month exactly. There are many posts on reddit of people claiming theirs took 80+ days and I don't doubt it for a second because the Meepo customer service is absolute garbage. The boards they sell however seem to be great quality

@@rototh2971 yes... The best option is ordering when they are offering a local shipping option.. as then you could receive your board in under a week! The last one I ordered locally only took 2 days to be at my door!!!

Don't take this video as gospel. Rode mine around after it rained and it flooded the battery and esc. Had to disassemble and clean corrosion to repair. Sealed it with dielectric grease. Working fine now.

There is no way to make something like a skateboard really waterproof. There's too much vibration and movement and those electronics are only 2 inches off the surface.

@@arrow1414 you can break bearfoot in rain, the water helps reduce friction burns and the skin on your feet is significantly thicker. unless you are breaking offroad then it's perfectly fine

I rode in light rain once with this board. Not water proof! The power button allows water to get in and on the board. I literally poured water out my board and it's never worked since

I hope you give that away to me good sir. I would love to have an Eskate. It's one of my dream to have, but sadly i live in a 3rd world country, it's worth 2 months sallary so i can possibly buy that. 🛹
