Meet Ajay! 

Lucky boy Ajay.. Hoomum didn't want to risk you going to another family so she brought you home. Beautiful.

My boy is a large black grey - over 11 and a half now, so he's very frosty round the face, and greying all over. Best dog ever. Sweetest, happiest disposition with both dogs and humans. Not exactly Mr Brave! But yet very chilled in a lot of ways. Totally the best ambassador for the breed I've ever seen.

My boy is big and black - and Ive never known a dog that is so space-aware! He knows hes big, and manages to make the best of every inch available to him, but without being clumsy in the process. Ajay is a perfect black boy in every way too

brilliant jill,i just cant understand why blacks get overlooked,as you know both of mine are black and the comments i get when walking them about is how good their coats look and how shinny they are..and ajay and floppy look so relaxed..you do an amazing work on them lovable hounds,,,

I had a big black boy, "Freddie". He had an amazing personality also.

Aww❤❤❤❤ Lovely. And I know that temperament well, the polite standing back etc was my Bonnie. (Her memoriam on 24th this month), has it really been a year? I think because my second dog died the following July it seems even shorter all round💔. Ajay is so sweet. How we love them all so very much. What a handsome beast you are Ajay! I would just like to add, don`t by-pass the big black scared of their own shadow boys (or girls) hiding at the back of the kennel! This perfectly describes my boy Ron who i got from the Greyhound Trust last March. 10 months later he is the funniest, kindest and most sociable chap you could ever hope for, Lucky me!!!

Totally with you about the big black boy greyhounds, that was our first and he gave us the love for greyhounds. He sadly died at 8 years old of cancer but because we had our other dog we decided to a totally different small female greyhound, I’m sure in the future we’ll get another black boy one ❤

Hi Ajay, you sound lovely! It's always important to not forget the quiet ones. We have a big (40 kg) blue boy and I like his big presence in our life 😊.

Lovely to hear Ajay’s story. My boy is not the biggest but he is black. It’s a shame the black ones/males/large ones are overlooked.

I wanted to ask you how you think I can get my Madge to be more responsive with me. She does not really like any affection, and does not want to play with me at all, but will play with her squeaky crock on her own! I have all the love in the world to give her, but just wish I could get some loving emotion from her towards me back. I have had her now for 4 years, and she will come to me in the house if she wants a chew or to go out for her walk. I have tried sitting on the sofa she likes to sleep on, and getting her to jump up next to me, but she has never done so. She does sleep on the end of my bed, but also has her own bed in the guest room which she will go off to, to be on her own. I do not ever force myself on her, but just give her a cuddle occasionally, in the hope she would enjoy it as much as I do?! We meet up with her friend Dobby dog for zoomies once a week, in a field by me which is safe to let her off in, and she is so pleased to see my friend Jacquie, and will go to her, but with the lure of a bit of sausage, she will come to me now. She knows my name, as I use it a lot with her, but when I am talking to her, her ears will immediately go up if I mention Jacquie or Dobby dog, if I say my name, there is no reaction?! There is only her and me living at home. xxx
