Great setup. Im still considering that kind of thing. I like the idea of converting it back for general use. Ive watched sooo many of these videos. Retirement age in New Zealand is 65. We have to wait untill then to get our "kiwisaver" out. Less than 18 months to wait now!!! My current car is a tiny we car, Im quite tall, so no way to camp in it! They say patience is a vertue. Anyways, its winter here atm...
Barb, So well thought out; functional, comfortable; high quality components. I noticed that the Ram Promaster City is now discontinued, unfortunately. Nice bike too. All the best as you continue to participate in all your pursuits and the good works you do. Well done.
Wow ! Your set up is really neat! Everything you need. And your bed looks super comfy. Enjoy your time in The Great Outdoors. Cool that you ride a mountain bike too. 👍👍
Thank you for the interview and showing us your build it looks very comfortable I'm curious what mattress you use? I'm continually looking for a more comfortable bed... is it foam or a regular mattress of some sort thank you so much and if you have a link thanks. And thanks for showing us your Loo... everybody usually avoids that.
I love finally seeing Barb! I have heard her on the zoom meetings. She is a no nonsense, practical, no frills gal but really fun! Love the basic and very functional way she sets up her can
Simplistic, but has 3 necessities important to me. a warm dry comfy bed, a potty and security. She has room for her "toys and that is important to her. Nice!
nice, so simple and it looks like an hour set up. Suggest you use the USB strip lights, low power draw and most come with a remote to allow you to turn on in middle of night if needed. enjoy it

Hello, thank you for the video. Home Depot has tops to their red containers, that are toliet seats. Pretty comfortable. Eastcoast women have to stick together. Barb, journey on!
Loved seeing Barb’s setup and how it fits for her. There are so many different ways to do things. I am glad it works for her. She is very efficient and made great decisions on what she needs for her adventures. Thanks for sharing that with us.
Was so great to see you interview Barb and show her van. I love Barb's no build setup. She has thought of everything. That awning is really nice. Barb seems like a really cool gal.
Great job! We do the bucket loo too with horse pellets, works great! We camped for 10 days at Cape look out NC. Used the bucket for #1 + #2.. no smell, no problem! Better than cat litter!
She would have room for a couple of plastic straw mats to put on the ground in front of the entrances to the van. Helps keep the camp “ground” outside.
Nice van and I would have them cut the pass through and put it on hinges if a quick getaway was needed but I agree having it closed keeps it cool nice ambiance lites and LuLu leave it to you putting the pool noodle around the bucket 👌
Nice and simple. I have a similar set up in my cargo trailer. I have only done short trips - but am heading towards longer times on the road. My problem, I like to take all of my toys with me: bicycle, kayaks (extras to take other people), and my hand crafts. I like the moon-shade - will have to look into getting one. Thanks.
HOME DEPOT?? I did not know that Bard get the bed frame there. The awning is great going to look for that. Thank you for showing us her setup. 😊 Love & Light always Karen 😊& Miles 🐶
Love it! Suggestion for the window if you want it, since you can use magnets just cover the window in fabric and put magnets around it so your pillow doesn’t mess it up. ❤
Hey, that's our Barb! Nice to see you and your rig. You are wonderful on Thursday evenings and in this interview. Hope to meet you in person someday, Rebecca of Michigan's Upper Peninsula
I love this simple setup. I’ve made a list so I too can have some adaptability. One thing I’ve been thinking about lately Lulu, is spare tires. If women are carrying a full size? Where are older women storing them? Are they basing their vehicle choices with this in mind? I would appreciate knowing this if you would ask. I’m aging. And don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to change a tire on my own. Thanks and be well on your travels.
personally, I don't have a spare tire. my van did not come with one. instead it came with a compressor and I've used it to put air in my tire when it was low. I have AAA for tire issues of more concern. and I just decided that I won't be worrying about it. whatever happens, happens, and everything always works out in the end.
I have a 2020 and my spare is under the van, like a truck. The dealership salesperson didn’t even know it was under there, if found it as I was curious one day. Thought it was funny that it didn’t come with a spare. Perhaps Lulu has one too😊
I need Barb to contract as decluttering expert at my place. Brilliant simple practical build love it. I need more about Barb - Retire? What did she do for work?
Brilliant video Lulu!! Really enjoyed everything about it :) If possible in the future, could you do a video revving up your van? So we can hear how it sounds! 🙂
Hi Lulu! Thank you for replying 😀. Yes that’s right, whilst it’s in neutral. Though it doesn’t have to be too hard given that I don’t want you to cause any damage to your van! Is that feasible? No worries if it doesn’t fit in 🙂
That is a great idea, and because it has fabric on the inside I bet one side of Velcro will stick to it making it easy peasy!! Thanks for the suggestion! Way to think outside the box…. Literally😊😊😊
I searched for it and couldn't find it. she said she got it at Home Depot, and she called it a "small twin". perhaps if she reads the comments and sees this, she will answer for you!! 😊
Exactly Lulu, I cut out the reflectix and then used spray adhesive to apply the fabric. After that I sewed the fabric to the reflectix for added security. I didn’t finish the ends as it’s not important to me and hinders them fitting in the window.
@@theresatyree3904 and @lulusway64 YES, that is what I use. It’s a big bag so I take only what I need for my trip. That is what is in the yellow bin that my Bluetti is sitting on.
