Brandon and Brenda Walsh get ready for their first day at West Beverly High in the opening scene of the Beverly Hills 90210 pilot! #BeverlyHills90210 | Stream now on Paramount+
Childhood memories... I am 90s child... Comparing to now, people were realy fresh and healthy beautiful...They were happier... I miss the clothes, the style, the food the smiles...
It's just nostalgia and selective memory, that's all. The grunge kids certainly did not look healthy and happy. It's always been a mixed bag, but the memories of our childhood and teenage years always seem happier than anything we have today. It's only an illusion though.
@@marjol3in I really don't know if people are able to separate their youth from life without the internet. I'm for one grateful to have easy and almost unlimited access to music, films, and knowledge and not having to spend a fortune for long-distance phone calls, share photos with family and friends, be more efficient in my work. People have a tendency to downplay current technological marvels for the sake of a nostalgic idea of the past.
Guys, this was litterally the SHOW to watch, we were all envious of them and at that time life was so cool with nice music and so on. I wish I could turned back time :(
I just started binging the show. I'm on Season 1 episode 18. I actually watched every season when it was on tv back then. I was 20 when it started. Now I'm 53 and it's so nostalgic and wonderful now. My 22 year old son watches it with me sometimes. ❤
Omg that theme song! I LIVED for this show! Had posters all over my room, Brandon was my fave, so many memories. I even had a 90210 theme 12th bday party. Miss those days.
So much of this opening sequence is insane. The valet parking. The mini-mini-mini-miniskirt. The guys who wear full Saudi garb and CIA suits while attending an American public school.
That's why it's TV. No one thought America drove around in an old school bus singing, like the Partridge Family... And I remember some real Beverly Hills High School students saying that while not all of the school was like the show, the show actually 'softened' some of the characters they knew...
This is how me as teen then visualized it when watch before internet ,then i era off internet found its just fake and that my own city was better than this in reality and we went to school with public transport .But i liked the series then because i was similar age
I was a naive 10yo boy living in Italy when this show started. Was in love with Brandon and Dylan… BH90210 was such a huge success. i feel like all teenagers were watching it. Those were fun and incredible times for teens, music and TV were the best. Now I’m 43. Time flies. I miss that era 🎉
Remember this drama back in 1990. Just started college and was wondering which way life will go. Then settled after 91. I’m a grandad at 50. Miss those days unfortunately.
I just took a job in Minneapolis coming from Texas 😆. Made me think of the twins from the twin city 😆. I miss the 90ies...so basic and innocent where people still had to talk to eachother instead of being lost in an online...wait a minute 😆 I'm on my phone looking at this and in another world. Happy times.
After I first watched this pilot episode, it was then that I knew watching this show was gonna be a fun, dope ride 😎🤟🏾 My mom remembers this quite fondly when she went to high school, and amongst many people was very popular then in those times. I'm glad the occurrence to watch it got to me as soon as it could. _90210_ is a old-school genuine classic like any other 💯💯💯 I'm gon' love rewatching the entirety of it on DVD, fo' sho.
Wow that epic theme song. Love it. I had a major crush on Branden en Dylan. Now i like also Steve. And i always liked Brenda and Andrea. I was just 10 years old when this came on the tv. My mom never let me watch that show. But later i watch it with my big sister. I stoped watching after Brenda left the show.
Brilliant pilot They shoud have stuck with the story being about the twins experience in Beverly Hills instead of making Kelly and donna the focus around season 4. Shannon Doherty should have remained the star of the show. Instead, they totally crapped on her character in season 3. Never saw another show where they pushed lesser talents like jenny garth and tori spelling over someone great like shannon doherty
Shannon got the boot because she was partying too hard in public and constantly showing up late and unprepared to filming. Replaced by Valerie Malone in season 4.
I loved this show even though I was a little old for it. I remember I had to stop playing pool in our apartment complex to catch this show every week, lol.
That was THE SHOW back in 90s in Brazil. The name was completely different and I have no idea why but it was such a success. I was too young but once I got older I watched and it was great. I mean, look this style!!!
Notice that James Eckhouse is only briefly in one scene here and isn’t shown with anyone. That’s because Lyman Ward (Ferris Buellers Dad) was originally cast as Jim Walsh and they shot the pilot with him. When they changed cast members they had to go back and reshoot all of Jim’s scenes with Eckhouse.
I remember looking out for teen magazines that had articles about this show. They would sometimes do 2-page ‘posters’ of each character and then one of the whole cast and I put stick them to my bedroom walls. I even had the BH90210 perfume. I wanted to look like Kelly so much LOL
I was in 6th grade when this premiered. Teenage years have never been easy, but evens today are screwed between cell phone addictions, checked-out parents, and being the target of agendas that will make them industry customers for their entire lives.
This was such a brilliant opening. If I recall correctly, it came on right after The Simpsons and immediately sucked me in to this new show, which I'd never heard about (obviously, since it was airing for the first time ever). The first season was the best by far, especially once Dylan was introduced. That first summer season was still all right, but after that, IMO the show quickly went downhill.
It didn't 'quickly go downhill'. The first 5 seasons are great, 6 and 7 were a bit meh, and 8-10 I'd agree that it wasn't good anymore.. but it definitely wasn't just season 1 that was good.
Pretty common. You couldn’t have actual kids because of labor laws and some of the scenes got pretty steamy too. But if they’re 18, it’s all good. Some of them were much older than that though.
