His Korean name is Tae Yoon which means great hearted or greater good. Deputy Lee and his parents moved to United States when he was eight years old. Growing up Korean American, he was the kid with the unusual lunch at school. He experienced stereotypes, micro-aggressions and racism. He tried to blend in, but a higher purpose was calling him.
