TheHoffy59, I think she thought it was a good idea. She was ahead of her time. .......It was around the time the Young and the Restless fired her after mistreatinh her, and she was probably figuring out what to do next since the Bells blacklisted her and tried to block her from getting other work. Decades later, somebody who had it on VHS uploaded it to the internet and it went viral.
Brenda Dickson. She played the character of Jill on the Young and the Restless in the 1970s and 1980s. One of the most awesome characters in soap opera history. They fired her in 1987 and tried to stop her from getting work on other soaps. That was around the time she made this.
Did she say "diamond" earrings? She is drowning in beading! Too much beading on the clothes! And that fox draped over her shoulder isn't dramatic, it's disgusting. We just don't wear dead animal carcasses as an accessory to tacky fashion anymore. Imagine making a video where most of it consists of photographs of yourself wearing clothes that were likely rented for the photoshoot. She was an actress, but her delivery is terrible, amateurish... just terrible. Anyone who has a HUGE portrait of themselves in their living room as a focal point is not very interesting-- who else talks about their own "fashion" and drools over their own photographs like that? She isn't selling someone else's clothes or promoting a store or clothing line she invested in, she is trying to sell herself, her "own" style (created by designers and JC Penney), but even back when the video was made it would still be poorly done, tacky, and hilarious.
