Honestly, let him be bored. He'll work out something to do for himself. I have two active boys and try to let them use their imagination. Outside on the grass is wonderful sensory play for babies

I love this advice. Some of my best memories of my childhood were when I was bored, and played with nothing more than my imagination. Also, infants being on the bare ground is great for preventing outdoor allergies later in life.

What an advice!! My greatest memories are the ones I needed to create to entertain myself. Eventually I even thought playing with my manufactured toys was not as amazing as making my own, because I could do as many and anything I wanted with paper or anything in the nature, and imagine just as much or more with it. Today of course I work with art 😁

Hey Cait, there’s a lot we probably don’t agree on but I wanted to tell you that watching your videos has helped me realize I can be feminine as well as other things. I really love embracing my femininity and values that some people think are “old fashioned”. Yes it is a big deal! I decided to share him because you all have been with me through so much, and I know the vast majority of you are well-meaning sweet hearts who just want to be his Aunties :) I will still work hard to protect him, but he's so cute, I couldn't help but share :) And maybe with the nutrition! I follow a diet that is mostly animal products. I have a fabulous cookie recipe I want to make for you guys on camera!

Facial taping is something a lot of people have done for "natural" botox before botox was invented!! There is kinesiology tape for your face you can sleep in and with consistency it basically retrains your muscles. Botox does this through ATROPHY by freezing a muscle to work less and making others work harder. There are a lot of professionals I have listened to and my personal aesthetician that say this is actually a better option than botox because with botox it's basically unbalancing the fascia and strength of your facial muscles and tendons. The facial taping is most useful if you're trying to maintain your natural appearance though. Some people use botox to lift areas/change their natural facial features and facial taping from what I understand will not do that. So, for those of us wanting to remain looking youthful- the facial taping along with gua sha can be phenomenal :) Also: there are a lot of health benefits that aren't appearance based to the taping method and gua sha method like lymphatic drainage/headache reduction/stress reduction etc!

I use The Ordinary 5% retinol in squalane for my forehead lines and to prevent wrinkles and it seems to work really well. I also recently discovered that maybelline baby skin face primer (it's in a blue tube) covers up my forehead lines like magic.

Seeing your baby boy after a long struggle of getting pregnant gives me so much hope. Such a sweet update! Congratulations and thank you for sharing. My first was a girl and she was soooo calm compared to my boys!!! If he's sitting up, and you can stand the noise, pots and pans with wooden spoons are fun. I always strapped my kids to my back and had them cook with me. You can send them veggies to munch on while you meal prep. All the best!

Busy baby over here! I've started doing a toy rotation, because he was definitely getting bored of his toys, I have a few bins with 10-12 different toys in them and I swap out once a week. Also lots of time on the grass or outside like you said! Loves hanging out in front of a mirror too, we have a full length one that he can crawl up to and explore on his own. Once he starts crawling and climbing he'll just be focused on doing that ALL THE TIME. And wow, it's so intense but so fun! You and Boden are beautiful together. It really is the most amazing gift to be able to spend our days seeing life through their eyes.

A great eyelash curler I use is Sensai, don't know if you have that one over there. The trick is to squeeze it for a bit longer than you think and voilà!

My son was a busy baby and an even busier toddler now, no advice, I can't keep up 😅 However, when my son was a baby I would wear him as much as possible, in the ergo baby. And I could clean and take a walk, or do other things and he would stay content for pretty longer periods of time.

I just had my first baby two months ago, so I’m not far behind you Cait. Bodie is adorable! I want to stay at home with my son, but my hubby doesn’t have a job yet, and I can go back to a stable one. Is it reckless to stay at home once fall hits (I’m a preschool teacher), even if hubby still doesn’t have a job? Would appreciate your input Cait.

Wonderful video! Love your baby boy…. Boden is so sweet. Love the sweet dog! A word of advice from an old mother of 6. let your baby have alone time, and do not sit in the back seat with your baby. Sit by your husband! Baby needs to adjust to be in the car safely by himself! I know that being a first time mom is often scary! Your baby loves your smile and sweet spirit! You are doing a great Mom!
