I’m thankful for your video! This June I’m purchasing 4 Ursa Cine 12k cameras for my Gospel music video production! Thank you Black Magic design Staff!!
BMD said they'll be sending the Ursa Cine 12k in the hands of pro Dp's in the beginning to get some feedback. i can't wait to see those reviews and the image that comes from those test.
he Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K does not shoot in V-Log (which is Panasonic's log gamma profile). Instead, it uses Blackmagic's own log gamma curve known as Blackmagic Design Film. This log profile is designed to maximize dynamic range and flexibility in post-production, similar to how other manufacturers' log profiles work. Here are some key details about the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K: Resolution: Capable of shooting at 12K (12,288 x 6,480) resolution. Color Science: Uses Blackmagic's 5th Generation Color Science. Dynamic Range: Offers up to 14 stops of dynamic range. Codecs: Records in Blackmagic RAW (BRAW) and ProRes, offering various compression ratios. Log Profile: Uses Blackmagic Design Film, not V-Log. The Blackmagic Design Film profile is similar to other log formats in that it provides a flat image with extended dynamic range, ideal for color grading and post-production adjustments. If you need V-Log specifically, you would need to use a camera from Panasonic's line, such as the Panasonic GH5, S1H, or VariCam series.
