A new Rocket League player has a lot of mechanics and settings they have adapt to in the starting tutorial, but Ball-Cam is often one that stands out as truly unique to this game. Most driving games lock the camera to the car. But since every high rank and pro player uses ball-cam extensively, most Rocket League rookies will eventually accept the advice and put in the work to figure it out. But some players fight the norm. Ball Cam can be disorienting at first and make car control difficult and thus a few players have even waited until they are gold or plat before finally giving in. In today's video I will showcase 2 players that have made it into the Champ ranks without Ball Cam. Yes these players play and win in the top 10% of the playerbase while strictly using car cam. Not as a challenge or experiment, but by choice. They purposefully avoid using what most would consider the best Rocket League settings. After thousands of hours there's probably no way these players change now, but for this video I want to explore what no ball-cam champ gameplay looks like and find out a bit more about this unique playstyle. Then, for the second game, I decided to do a little Rocket League experiment and FORCE these players to play with Ball-Cam....with hilarious results.
