Engineer is a realistic sociopath, someone capable of emotion, not empathy. Warm, through the destruction he knows he can cause. Del Conager is possibly the most psychologically terrifying of the TF team. Pyro might be a schetizo, medic might be clinically psychopathic, but the engineer is calculated, clear, and downright unfeeling.
