From what I can tell, Robert, Lucille, Arthur, Harry and Heidi are the only likeable characters in the whole movie. And one of them dies and another goes on a killing spree.
@@cellblocknine5385 I do like how Sid's story arc ends he decides to take up responsibility and saves his son from getting killed am I think it works for his character arc as he was constantly denying that his child was his
@@jacobprice8048 you really think so Trevor did attempt to rape Lucille plus he was always insulting Heidi by calling her a fat slag and even made fun of her singing by saying that he's her better singing from a mongoose with throat cancer
6:43 did they have permission to film at that golf course? Or did some friends just went to play golf, only to see that a group twisted, demented versions of the muppets were playing golf.
aside for some purposefully gross things like the vomit. I dont think this is a bad little movie, and find the use of puppets allowing Peter Jackson to get away with what you couldn't do if they were real actors.
First time watcher of your channel here! You guys gave a solid review but, man, how you guys make your reviews is awesome! Your hand drawn characters give a ton of personality and help out the review immensely. I know what channel I'm binging now!
I like the new Shiro character. Great addition to the stupid team. Movie was...............interesting. Lots of disturbingly designed puppets, plenty of head-tiltingly strange lines, but it had a shoot-out with a high caliber weapon in the end, and isn't that all that matters? Keep up the good work!
Right off the back guys thank you soo much fur reviewing this movie. Your presentation was very entertaining and funny. I adore truely the cute furry gal woooo! Also This movie has a special place in my heart. It played a huge roll on why i chose to be in the fandom. With all things considered i shudnt have watched it as a kid but even so I found myself relating and connecting to some of the characters motives. The final song at the end pulled at my heart strings. Twenty years later i still have garden of love on my playlist ! Ill never furget the feebles! Thx again guys
Watching this again, I like how stupid hero calls Shiros jab at the hippo racist, but goes on to introduce Robert the Hedgehog with Sonics theme with NO reflection.
Also, a little tidbit I learned that may or may not actually be true, apparently on the last scene where the hippo go full Rambo on them they apparently used actual bullets because it was cheaper
What the hell were you on, Peter Jackson? O_o I can appreciate the point of showing the seedy underside of show business, but wouldn't that be more palpable if we had some genuine pleasantness in the movie to balance it out? The whole thing is just... ugly. :S Welcome to the team, Shiro!
I would lie if I said some of the stuff didn't bother me. BUT It did but not as bad as everyone else experience (Then again the S&M Cow was my only NOPE moment of the film) I actually enjoyed this movie, is because I'm a weird guy who like bizarre stuff in his movies? totally, yeah. But I like it because of again, the satire, some of the humor and Robert the hedgehog and heidi are the characters I sit and root for.
he was very different man back then he took inspiration from ralph bakshi and jhon k and ed wood before he drew influence from orson wells, robert wise and other epic directors
Mabey I' a sick man, but I watched the movie twice, plus clips from it, and then this. I actually like it. But then, I was drawing cartoons of rabbits shooting up long before I saw this movie, and I saw Fritz the cat and read underground comics as a child.
Bletch: Trevor. Trevor : yeah boss. Bletch : I want to meet the stupid team now. Trevor: why boss Bletch : i am thinking about putting them on the show
Peter Jackson: I’m going to direct “The Lord of the Rings” Tolkien’s ghost: Oh really, because I discovered from your past film directing record, you made an off putting inappropriate parody of “The Muppets”. So why should I trust you with adapting my books into big-screen movies?
I still can’t believe Peter Jackson directed this. This is nothing like his later work (e.g. the “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” trilogies). I tried to watch this recently and was disgusted. Couldn’t even get through the whole movie. WTF?? On the bright side, though, I’m glad the director’s so-called “gross-out” phase didn’t last long. I mean, let’s face it; he couldn’t do this forever.
Yo, I know I'm like 2 years late and everyone's already complained about the voices, yeah they are a bit annoying. But, I will say, I absolutely loved the artwork and the expressions of the characters.
3:01 HEYY! I spent like a minute trying to pause and see that message...I thought it was an easter egg...oh, and this movie actually made Vietnam look pleasant by comparison, wow. Oh, and I hate needles too. Hippo killing spree? BEST ENDING EVER! You know why? BECAUSE IT ENDED THIS MOVIE. But it IS a better animated movie than Life's a Jungle.
@@RBComics Not a fan of lord of the rings at all, but I just saw Meet the feebles a few hours ago and why I looked for this review and I thought it was pretty...wild. Obviously it's not for everyone but it had some great dark humor, some scenes that made me feel gross, other scenes made me want to look away but I always had my eyes glued. All and all it was a weird satire with some extra edge in there and not all of it worked but enough to make me say I enjoyed it was in there. Lord of the rings on the other hand just does nothing for me. I watch it and I check my phone every few minutes, or I want to watch something else, or dont feel anything while I watch. Which, to me, is worse than scenes that are bad/cringey/gross. Not to say Meet the Feebles is perfect or even a great film, but they take risks and are willing to try something new. Something I can't give any credit of lord of the rings for doing
Tell me about it😵he must to been desperate starting out luckily he found his break when he did.I like Lord of The Rings yeah it's long but so are the books.Plus showing puppets just looks so wrong yeah crude dark comedy works but not among children's movies.
i don't know what is the problem with this film. pretty f*cked up i know but still a good watch. i haven't got the chance to live the show business life but the human nature can be this disgusting as this film shows us. i really love peter jackson's early films like bad taste, braindead and now this one too.
I've been watching some pretty strange sh*t vicariously through online reviews lately... but at least this one doesn't have a kid doing it with his dog on top of his mom's corpse.
I would be on Michaelas opinion. I have certain standards when it comes to movies, some of them being no gore, no drugs, no icky stuff etc. Glad i dont have to watch the movie and this review serves as a heads-up. Or in my case, a warning. Anything with the title "feebles" i should turn tail and run.
Given the contents of this film, I'm surprised that it got an "M" rating here in Australia in the first place. Then again, this is the same organization that gave Randal Kleiser's 1980 remake of The Blue Lagoon a "PG" regardless of its content.
True. Originally I wanted to stick with the Nostalgia Critic Style but it was just not for me and I just did what came naturally from me. plus Familiar Faces, Suede, JewWario, and Linkara's Pokemon film reviews when they're "Animated" also is the inspiration.
Oh cool, I didn't know some of the Channel Awesome dudes did that! (I've stuck only to Doug and Lindsay until very recently.) Well I love the Critic, but there's no point in trying to imitate someone great; going your own way with some inspiration is the way to go. :)
@@RBComics I’ve seen this movie way too many times now and……. Nope still hasn’t gotten any less weird. And I still have nightmares……… so many nightmares….. so many….
I think this film you don't have to kill your just from watching it you know those films that try to hard to be funny but aren't so ya you can just watch for what is a comdie or just watch because someone out likes practical effects.
Hmm funny that 9 months ago I said you don't have to kill your self to watch this, and then happy time murders came out while the trailers were funny the movie its self not so good In fact while watching it I thought hmmm well this movie isn't so original. Also that movie(happy time murders) kinda suffer the same fate as million ways to die in the west were if you watch certain clips their funny but as a movie it just doesn't work. But hey rb comics I do like it when filmmakers do something weird just watch Hercules the 1983 version you'll probably love its kinda like readings a corny old comic book.
Thank you, Sexual Harassment Panda (12:19). Now we know that sexual harassment and other potential sexuals are forbidden, or as Mr. Hand said, "NO GEWD!"
He was actually more of a downer type of guy. He preferred drugs like heroin and Valium to drugs like cocaine and speed. But I'm sure in the 80s he had plenty of moments when he snorted some coke while on a heroin binge.
Emily Mason Awesome! I was hoping someone would review that. I would've suspected ShogunGino to do an Infamous animation review based on that movie, but alas, no review is ever seen. I really hope RB comics could probably review Dinotopia.
+Taylor Godin The songs that the Feebls cast sung. The best one being "Sodomy" sung in the background by the gay fox while Heidi does her massacre. You couldn't here much of here, as it was mostly talked over.
RB Comics Screaming Soup is an animated review show about horror films and generally weird ones, they've also done a review of Meet the Feebles. I recommend checking out season 3 and season 4 though.
