Meet the Highest Rated Quarterback in NFL history
Super Bowl 45, 2:40 left in the first half, the Packers were beating the Steelers 14-3. Aaron Rodgers was at the helm. On this play, Ryan Clark thought he was about to get an interception, but Rodgers put the football on a rope, delivering a touchdown strike to Jennings! Green Bay’s lead was enormous, but the Steelers clawed their way back, trailing 28-25 in the 4th quarter. Green Bay didn't have Brady nor Mahomes. Instead they had the highest rated quarterback in history. But how would Rodgers handle the pressure with the Super Bowl on the line?
In today's video, we meet the Highest Rated Quarterback in NFL history
Aaron Rodgers, the former Packers MVP, officially became a New York Jet last year 👀 after a much-publicized trade. Rodgers, known for his NFL highlights and frequent appearances on the Pat McAfee Show, has sparked a lot of news, especially after his Achilles injury last year. The injury reaction was widespread, from fans watching his highlights to discussions about it on Kimmel and McAfee. Despite his ankle setback, Rodgers' transition from the Packers to the Jets is a significant moment, with many anticipating his return and perhaps a new book about his journey.

I’m not saying these 2 are exactly alike but Aaron Rodgers and LeBron’s playoff legacies remind me of each other. The numbers say they are great in the playoffs but their teams often get destroyed which haters then can point and say the reasons is they aren’t great leaders , don’t play the right way in a system or aren’t clutch but also in both cases fans of them can say they couldn’t control the fact either didn’t get help , their opponent was too good or played amazing. I lean towards the fan mentality because it’s a team sport, we’ve seen average QBs who aren’t nearly as good as Rodgers or aren’t putting up great playoff stats game manage their way to a Super Bowl title and we’ve seen players much worse than LeBron be the best player on a team that wins the championship .. But because on paper Rodgers 1-0 pales in comparison to Brady’s 7-3 And Lebrons 4-6 pales in comparison to Jordan’s 6-0 Haters can always reverse engineer a story about why they’re the reason their teams lost. It’s called winning bias . We’ve seen before plenty of times in history the star player or QB on a team play poorly but the team still wins so by definition the individual did enough to win And we’ve seen countless players have amazing individual performances but the team loses so by definition the individual didn’t do enough to win. But the player who technically “did enough to win” isn’t always better individually than the player who “didn’t do enough to win” because it’s a TEAM sport.

Actually Rodgers was not great in the playoffs. He was good at getting them there, but he was just average after that: eleven wins versus ten losses.
@juju-vl7oj
@juju-vl7oj 7 дней назад
@@user-zo6zp8xu3t that’s a TEAM record . Rodger’s defenses rarely played good in the playoffs and you can’t blame the points his defenses give up on him totally For example In the playoffs Rodger’s teams allowed 25.57 points per game Bradys teams allowed 20.46 points per game In Rodger’s playoff losses his teams gave up 33.8 ppg Bradys team in losses gave up 27.2 ppg And for individual stats Rodger’s career playoff QB rating is 100.1 Brady’s is 89.8 Most playoff numbers favor Rodgers
@juju-vl7oj
@juju-vl7oj 7 дней назад
@@user-zo6zp8xu3t that being said there’s other factors you can argue like maybe Brady’s defenses gave up less points because he kept them off the field by keeping drives going when needed Or maybe his stats are worse because he played better defenses or his numbers are lower because when he first started offenses weren’t as dominant because of the rules. I can’t deny Brady’s greatness I’ve seen him be great many times in big games big moments . Just saying that it is a TEAM sport and it really doesn’t matter how good the individual plays if the teammates aren’t good or the opponent is just better but we’ve been programmed by sports media into these narratives of individuals like they control winning and losing way more than they actually do.

Ugh as a Bears fan I constantly remind myself in 2005 they drafted an underperforming RB who held out at #4 over the QB who literally owned them. Adding insult to injury in that same draft they picked Kyle Orton in the 4th round and the most annoying QB competition in team history was born with Lovie’s “Rex is our quarterback” droning on for the 2006 season which would’ve been a Super Bowl win instead of just an appearance with Rodgers at QB.

I love Rodgers personally (even as a Bears fan), but at the end of the day, it all comes down to someone's play in crucial situations. We can call them "high pressure" situations or whatever. He hasn't been great there. It reminds me of baseball, where they don't really even look at win/lose records anymore and instead focus on advanced stats. A pitcher's job is to win the game they're pitching in - not to have the lowest ERA in the league or the best metrics. Ultimately, sports are played by humans, not robots. Situational performance is crucial.

The tape says: 1. 2009-2014 - the 3rd best QB the league has ever seen after Tom Brady (who was god himself) and Peyton (essentially the perfect human QB if you Had to design one). This Rodgers was Essentially a mobile Dan Marino. This is what the tape says. Idc about their stats or accolades. They are almost 70% team and scheme depended. Then he lost that Seattle game in 2014 NFC CG. He choked. Defense got him 5 turnovers and he blew a 16 pt lead. Should have blown them out. After that he was never the same. Something happened mentally to him 2. 2015-2018 - a lesser Justin Herbert. Less accurate than Herbert. Worse in the pocket. Just struggled to process anymore. Never really played elite football. Prople were open on tape and he just didn't pull the trigger for whatever reason. Got conservative. Played for a TD/INT ratio and passer rating. Him and Russell Wilson have figured how to cheat those 2. They can pad stats like no other. But elite football was not played in that period. He was a good- ish QB. A top 5 playcaller and OLine, WR core helped as well. 3. 2019-2022 - he became Derek Carr essentially. A middle of the pack starter with a big arm but was afraid to use it. A talented game manager. A Carr who got stats for The Shannahan stat inflating scheme. He let the scheme and Devante Adams do the heavy lifting. Could still make good things happen but just didn't do it. What you CAN do and what you WILL do are 2 seperate things. He made like a great throw once every 3 games just to show the casuals "he still got it". Jordan Love has proved it that you don't need to be accurate to get stats for Master Lafleur.

I beg to differ that Rodgers choked in crunch time in the playoffs, with the exception of losing to the 49ers after the 2021 season. Special teams gave up a fake FG touchdown and an onside kick to lose to Seattle in the 2014 NFC championship game. That, the play calling and defense weren't on him. He lost all his receivers in 2015. The team would have never made the playoffs in 2016 without him and he gutted the 1-seed cowboys in the playoffs that year. The Packers had a terrible defense and terrible special teams for most of his tenure in GB, especially 2015-2019. I can't tell you how many times the team would have been the old lions, but for him. Everyone thinks Tom Brady is football god, but I don't buy it. Brady was good, but his defense, special teams and coach gave him a ton of opportunities. His teams never beat themselves, unlike the Packers over the years. That was very rarely on Rodgers.
