People say that Brett lee had a very athletic bowling action and I agree. But Waqar was just another level. Even Usain bolt said that he loved seeing him run in and bowl. That jump @3:02 will tell you how quick he ran and how long his jump was. Doing it ball after ball takes a lot of effort and hard work. He is probably the most athletic fast bowler cricket has ever produced
Absolutley without a shadow of doubt at his peak waqar was the greatest fast bowler the world had seen. The best part was unlike other greats he wasn't interested in hurting you he was just interested in sending you back to the apvilion and he did that with ease once the bowl was a few overs old
That strike rate is ubeleivably great considering 1) injuries meant he was only about half the bowler he previously was post the mid 1990s and 2) He played on pitches that had zero help for fast bowlers. Compare that to other greats of the game (for example steyn) who played most of his cricket on south african fast bowler friendly wickets.
Waqar is a living legend. His legendary bowling will not be forgotten. As a cricket player waqar and Said Anwar is my hero. Back then I was an all-rounder and I always tried my best to copy both of them. Pakistan jindabad. Love From Bangladesh.

He took 14 fivers and 04 times ten wickets in these tests. In my opinion no other Pakistani bowler have so much winning participation with his bowling. Waqar you are one of the greatest exponent of fast bowling ever grace the cricket field.

Waqar Younos the best fast bowler with that pace swing revers swing. He was a megition with the bowle. ICC assigned the deserving candidate for hall of fame.

Brother waqar ke time pe speedo meter ni tha ... Waqar shoaib se bhi tez tha .. Yai jisny live dekha haina esko wo batayega apko ... He was faster than akhtar too 1989-1990
@@anirudhsuresh4481 they werent reliable . Some had it , some didnt . In later years of wasim and waqar career they were recorded at 145 so imagine them at their peak , specially waqar , he was lightning fast .

And after his come back he used to bowl at 148-150kph constantly and reversing the ball 2 feet in air . Before his injury he was faster than shoaib akhtar . Lightning fast . On other hand wasim was clocked 155 at his fastest i think .
I remember there was a game it was South Africa vs Pakistan at Kingsmead Durban s.a. was coasting in the last 10 overs him and Wasim Akram came back in the last 10 overs and absolutely destroyed us
