@@md.nurulhasan3432 not even close dude. They were not match winners. Pakistan would have easily won more World Cups if they didnt have injury and match winning problems. Indians took full advantage of luring these bowlers with money.
In Ambrose & Walsh and Wasim & Waqar you have two bowlers that complement each other because of their similar technique. And they are amazing. I'd also throw up McGrath and Warne because of their differences. If i was picking the best 11 of the last 40 years I'd have all six bowling in pairs with Gilchrist or Sangakara as keepers cause you almost wouldn't need batsmen to make more than a couple of hundred.
Ya with the help of drugs and ball tampering. Waqar Younis was the 1st bowler to be banned for ball tampering. Later Shoaib Akhtar was banned for ball tampering, drugs and illegal action. Wasim and Imran were also involved but they got away with it.
Wasim and Waqar together is as lethal combination like Bradman and Tendulkar together at crease. I am sure even Bradman would not be comfortable facing Wasim especially
Wasim and Waqar together is as lethal combination like Bradman and Tendulkar together at crease. I am sure even Bradman would not be comfortable facing them, especially Wasim especially
Waqar didn’t have much success with the new ball. He would over pitch and go for plenty. Once the ball was over 40 years old, well, he was a different bowler. Wasim was a more complete bowler, but Mohammad Asif was the most skilful and most unfulfilled bowler. .
Imran khan was the greatest Pakistani captain ever not only he thought these guys what reverse swing was but also thought these guys how to speak proper English 😂
West Indies, still had the best pace bowling attack of all-time. Marshall, Roberts, Holding, Garner, Croft, Ambrose, Walsh, Bishop, Patterson, Daniel, Sylvester Clarke, Tony Gray, etc.
They had the umpires at their side, we had our fingers at ours. So we scratched that ball, made it swing and they knew it all along. They might have even tried it as well but it was not only about scratching it, it was abour deliveing it at a certain pace, length and angle which they couldn’t do. Therefore, when they failed in doing it, they cried cheating. It was not cheating, it was done in broad daylight. The only reason we didn’t talk about it was because we were afraid that we would lose our art, our secret or the rest of the teams might learn it from us. Similar was the case with Saqlain Mushtaq when he invented the Doosra. They called him a cheater as well. And yet today, all of us thank him for introducing us to one of the best variations in bowling the cricketing world has ever seen.
“Everyone knew what was happening but no one else was able to recreate it” Sums it up really. No one would give a singular shit if it was england or australia who did it first and it’d still be in the game.
Sarfraz might be the original master but at his pace he was never going to set the world alight. Low pace swing bowlers are dime a dozen but try finding swing bowlers with real pace.
Interestingly reverse swing was not an issue when the two Ws were doing it for their counties but more of an issue when they did it for Pakistan- also now every bowlers does it around the world - so again acceptable
@@drwho3252 maybe not better than Walsh and ambrose but much better than McGrath and lee, I am talking about test matches, Brett lee was not great test bowler his bowling average was over 30
@@drwho3252 similarly Walsh was not a great odi bowler and in odi cricket he averaged over 30, so I would say better than lee and McGrath in test and better than Walsh and ambrose in odi
Charles Colvile what a great commentator he was. Hope he comes back for the England tour of India 2021! I remember in the Hero Cup 1993 Final Edan Garden. Tendulkar to Lara and..." Bowled Em!!!!!!"
I don't agree to the opening statement of this video which says "one of the best bowling pair" I think it should be "The best bowling pair in the world" instead of one of the best bowling pair in the world
Wasim is the best bowler Pakistan has ever produced. Pakistan won't be same in the world cricket without 92 championship. Without Wasim that would have never happened. Enough said.
in Pakistan we were also doing reverse swing (Tap Ball Cricket ) Still kids are doing reverse swing in tap ball cricket in different ways. Make 1 side of the ball heavier than the other side. and see the magic
The rivalry never helped Pak thats a fact ! At the end of the day toughest matches you need to compliment each other.. it never happened.. when both were captains they tried to avoid each other in team.. thats a fact...
It's very simple, if England had done it first it would have been their creativity and innovation since they couldn't, for face saving, they have to look for a escape goat. They invented this game but never developed the spotsman spirit. What a shame.
Masters of bowling wasim & waqar, Principle are Imran khan and sarfaraz.... Next generation adopt that legacy ; Shoaib akhtar, mohammad sami, Mohammed amir etc. 👏 rich history
Pakistan have contributed & revolutionized cricket over the years with reverse swing by these gems & doosra & teesra by saqlain but sadly cricket couldn't pay-back everybody want cricket out of the Pakistan specially not coming to the land and playing bilateral series now teams are calling off series after coming here & breaking comitment still Team Pakistan is doing great in the T20 WC 2021 they're unbeaten but still this world want cricket out of the pakistan that's a shame
@@arshmierzadakhan3138 maybe he knew but he wasnt comfertable trying things at the start of his career so he stuck with what he knew best at the time to make a name for himself. It is natural it happens at the start you cant assume things like that
@@187a3 Waqar and me are of almost same age and i was express fast before my accident has ended my career, Waqar though i have followed his career ball by ball even before he came in national team simply because those days he was famous for next express fast bowler from Pakistan, so meri jaan, there is no assumption in my comment that he didn't swung the ball in his early days, he has learned the trick from Imran after he came to national team which took him to master until he played his first county season in 1990 for Surrey, he came back to Pakistan with weapon in his armory, a lethal swinging Yorker and the rest is history.
The art of fast bowling changed with these 2. Devastating pair. Its such a shame that the Pakistan batting lineup would often let them down except for Javed Miandad which was early in their career.
Reverse swing is Pakistani culture. I have faced reverse swing on a tape ball. Our pitches are like that so bowlers depends on Yorkers "gitay suja" our swing to get him out. Our batsman go after every ball "Ar ya Par"that is why we fail as batsman.
@@harrismazari5484 he is right tape ball also reverse in towards your toes in the air and it required pace. Very difficult to play but still players hit it with six also
@@harrismazari5484 it's swing in the air and tape ball also go out swing middle stamp to outside stamp. Then tell me how a tape ball cut in and through air.
@@yasirali3067 there are two kinds of swing. conventional swing and reverse swing. Both reverse swing and conventional swing can be outswing or inswing. The direction of the ball does not matter. Conventional swing is when the ball swings away from the shiny side. This happens because the rough side of the ball is going to be "slower" and hence will have drag and the ball will swing towards it (away from shiny side that is) Reverse swing is when the ball starts swinging towards the shiny. Reverse swing happens when the ball gets old and the rough side becomes so heavy that it actually starts going faster through the air and hence swings towards the shiny side. The first thing you need with swing is prominent seam on the ball (which will wear off very quickly in tapeball). The other thing you need is that the rough side is actually heavier (which is impossible in case of a tape ball because rough tape ball will mean lesser tape and hence lesser weight). In other words it is close to impossible to reverse swing a tape ball. You can swing the ball in or out but it will be conventional swing. Hope this helps.

That's because you never watched them in early 1990s Waqar surely bowled 155kph-160kph or even more at his quickest and Wasim 150kph-155kph at his quickest
Unfortunately, most other bowlers could not do it even with scratched ball. Wasim and Waqar can swing oranges, anyone can swing the ball but not 150 ks, Geoff boycott.
Does any1 know how to do forward mid reverse swing yorker? Anyone??? If any1 wants to learn let me know.... If we British started to do what R.Swing! Is fine.... otherwise its cheating! 😆 🤣 😂 oh British.... Congratulations Pakistan 🇵🇰 for creating Reverse Swing. By the way the statement is false... best pair bowlers in Pakistan... should be World
