Yes, you can use Dolby's binaural renderer. Aural ID might offer you even more precise results with our tailor-made personal HRTF we can create for you. You can then also fine-tune all settings of the virtual speakers. Greetings!
Using the Dolby binaural renderer, you won't get the benefit of a custom HRTF. If you want to playback/stream material that's already encoded as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X or Auro 3d, you can use the Smyth Realiser A16, which has HDMI inputs and 2 independent headphone outputs.
The Aural ID Version 2 app will operate like a virtual soundcard on MacOS, so you can route multichannel audio to it and output the binauralised version using your personal HRTF. Greetings!
Headphones are sold only with the 9320 as a bundle. Street price is $2300. UNIO has additional technologies like Aural ID and GRADE Reports that will have optional fees.
Calibration with 9320A is done with the GLM. If you are not familiar with GLM, we are happy to assist you further if you can reach us at support@genelec.com. Also Genelec dealers and distributors are happy to help you more in details! 🙏
Wow! Sounds awesome all together. Well i just Bought a pair of 8331 and GLM kit. And its the best investment ever! I am lucky my hard work for my acoustic treatment as “amateur” paid off. The Grade report said “Excellent room Performance” my Decay time scored 100%. My Left speaker in room response score was 93% and right was 97%. So next purchase will be the 9320 controller and maybe later the headphone as i already have the Sennheiser HD800s. But i am sure the correction for the Headphone will be near perfect! Lets save money again first hahahaha. Thanks so much for making these perfect monitoring systems! I am blown away by the accuracy and performance of the 8331 compared to my older 8030c. Not normal the difference! So much easier to make the right decisions! Cheers and i will keep this video in mind for the near future……
Thanks a lot for your positive feedback. We're very happy to hear that you're enjoying our speakers and that GRADE was useful to evaluate your acoustical treatment. Feel free to reach out to us at any time under support@genelec.com if you need any further assistance! Greetings!
Genelec Team I have a question: I have already purchased the 9320, and I'd like to buy the new 8550 headphones as well. Is it possible to purchase them separately?
Yes you can “upgrade” your 9320 with a separate purchase of 8550. You MUST have your 9330 registered on your MyGenelec account first. Price of the 8550 is roughly the price of the bundle minus the 9320 price. It’s my understanding the headphones will then be purchased through your MyGenelec account. More exact info will be provided as the actual ship date approaches in November.
Hello! We are sorry to hear about that and didnt mean to left you feel that way. Could you please contact our support regarding to this and we are glad to help!
