@@SpartanElite43 sometimes I get 3 game in a roll, torping 3-4 ships each. Other times just constant losses. This ship is a wild card.

the guns are good with HE. torp only if close range and hide in smoke to ambush. I never rush with ohotnik. I follow other cruisers. Also it's prettt good for wide range sweep to smoke out the subs cause you can keep pumping out the torps and subs have to leave.

But man if you get into a sticky situation you are screwed

Richard Doig That would be something to see. Crew doing the Barynya around the turrets during a battle. I would buy one just for that. I was stiffed by a drunken Okhotnic in my Arkansas last,sneaky buggers!

That dancing vodka soaked crew would distract the enemy long enough to actually get in torpedo range. If the range was any shorter, I would train my drunken Bolsheviks to throw grenades! I agree. It has a lot of guns, but the long reload speed kind of nullifies that advantage. If the guns were a higher caliber (140mm+) then that would be a different story. It may have high HP for it's tier, but it's not enough to compensate for the poor concealment and maneuverability. Basically, the ship was designed to play almost like a cruiser without the necessary armaments to make that play style truly effective. I think I'll pass on this ship.

They'll make 1 or two ships that actually exsisted then make a bunch of "existed on paper only" ships and make them WAAAY OP to suck the balls of Russian Players like they did on the PC version.

the Yorck is also a paper ship, there was a roon class Yorck, but the one in game is the esant yorck a paper design that evolved into the sharnhorst class

@@raptornamibia6250 I dont think there was a real cruiser that could of filled the gap the roon class was itself would have been too powerful, but yea I dont agree on paper ships in general, but atleast they were designed and not completely made up like WOT. we are still in early days of wowsl so who knows what they will bring out in the future, let's just hope it keeps the game fun and entertaining

I've spent plenty but I also make money from ads on my videos so I bring in more than I spend. WG gives CCs loaner ships to make videos about new premium ships. They usually take them back after a week or so

Gotta say, your channel is one of the better ones, cuz you actually show fuck ups and let the world know you're not a Warship God like others but I just can't bring myself to pay the insane prices Wargaming wants for various things and the fast that Camo is used once per battle is facking nuts. Maybe if it were down over time and you had to re paint but EVERY DAMN TIME and getting the good Camo either costs $$$$$ or you get like 2 thrown at you as bait is BS.

Gregg Black I get that. I’ve played, and still have , every destroyer in this game. Balance was the key word. It turns wider than the Iowa. That is not balanced! I’ve had great games in it. As long as there’s a land mass you can hide behind, you can ambush, but the 41/2 km torp range is problematic, unless you enjoy suicide. Key to any destroyer is stealth. Once this thing is detected, you are dead. Period. It’s not fast or agile enough to escape anything. It is also Avery different play style from any destroyer in the game so far. Yes, it has big guns. They fire in slow motion, and accuracy is awful. Yes it has lots of torps. They go as far as you can throw a rock. You will be outrun by a lot of cruisers. I play, and like a lot of destroyers many people don’t like. Mutsuki. 2 guns, but 10 km fast loading torps. Balanced. Aigle and Le Terrible. Aigle has 7 km torp range in tier 5 . Short range for that tier, but very fast and good guns. Balanced. Le terrible has no smoke, but goes 45knots, and also has great guns, and torps you can fire from each side simultaneously. They are both huge, but manageable. Balanced. American DDs are fantastic gunboats. Best in game. Guns fire every 3 seconds and dominate other DDs, but torps suck. Balanced. I know what balanced is. That was my point. It’s a tier 4, so I won’t play it too much anyway. I was saying that if you want a tier 4 premium destroyer, Gremy or Kamikaze are better ships with a balanced load out. Neither easy to play, but make up for it. Kami’s stealth and fast loadin torps balance the terrible guns. Gremy has great torps and guns, but the turret rotation is glacier like in its speed. The Russian canoe is slow,turns like a cruise ship,reloads slowly, shortest range torps in game, 30 + second turret rotation, poor accuracy and is long enough to land a plane on.....I guess I am still searching for the balance. I CAN play it, there are just other ships that are more enjoyable to me. If you are the kind of player that wants to charge in , kill 1 ship and die, this is for you. If you would like to survive the game, it’s not.

I hated this ship as well and didn’t play it for a long time. Now it’s actually one of my favorites. Very strong HE. Concealment stinks and torp range. So my commander is Vladimir Trubetskoy to reduce incoming damage. Inspirations are L. Dartige du fornet and Philippe Auboyneau both have increased HE shell damage. I like finding three ships at almost max fire range, smoke up then pummel with HE’s. They do a lot of damage and if enemy draws close they get torp’d. Against other dd’s very strong with HE. I went from not using to placing within top three now in standard play majority of time.

@@SpartanElite43 yep. the game completely changed with radar on pc as almost every cruiser uses it now.

Radar has been in Legends since the beginning with Baltimore, and shortly thereafter with Indianapolis. Radar is very short duration, 30sec max. Destroyers have a huge advantage with their stealth. They shouldn't be able to traverse the map with impunity. I love my radar ships!

@@iamsuzerain3987 when I started playing something like 3 years ago you never saw radar. I quit for 2 years to come back and it was either pay to win ship or radar everywhere. I think at that time the tirpitz was the big pay ship. you still had issues as the carrier could spot you, as well as other dd's. now your lucky if you don't get spotted and sank in the first 3 minutes.

@@hiddentruth1982 haven't played pc version, can only speak to Legends gameplay. I'm personally in no hurry to see Carriers introduced to wows Legends. Sorry to hear your survivability in DDs is being so adversely affected by short duration countermeasures. I don't see it as much of a problem. If I'm in a destroyer with radar ships about I proceed with an extra measure of vigilance to my surroundings. When I am in a cruiser or battleship eliminating enemy radar vessels is top priority to protect my destroyers. As far as the game being pay to win, this argument is known to be false. Unsure what drives the numerous complaints seen daily in all forums, but can only surmise it to be frustration on the part of the complainer for their in game performance. I could not begin to number the "pay to win" premiums that I've sent to Davy Jones locker with good ole' tech tree ships. Anyone can have a bad game or make the wrong maneuver in battle. I've done it many times, but that's how we get better. Good luck on the seas Captain...dangerous waters.
