@@stevedavidson5038 In the classical world the attitude was that past man was always greater than modern man and that the latter is just on a gradual downward slope. Whether or not that’s true, I do struggle to believe that if civilization started over at square one that modern man would be able to get things going again without a long period of mental rebuilding first. Similar to how it took several centuries to get things going again after the Bronze Age Collapse.

This honestly feels like a TV show. Biden being the poor schmuck who has to manage this entire mess, Putin being Biden's foil, Zelensky being the angry little gremlin causing mayhem for both Putin and Biden, Kim being the maniac who wants to beat up Biden, Sanna being the seemingly sweet girl who is in reality a lot different, Macron being the guy hated by everyone, Trudeau being the hyperactive teenager, Sunak being in a similar situation as Macron, Modi being the third party who does their own thing while navigating the battlefield, Xi being the cunning mastermind planning to take over Biden's management role and Widodo just being a lovable side character who just remains outside the mess for most of the time.
