UW medical student Brian Cedeño was recently honored as one of the #Husky100, an award that recognizes UW students who are making the most of their time here. Brian was honored for, among other things, a relentless passion for mentoring others. He is also helping with studies of how to address racism that medical students might experience in clinics or other settings. Here, Brian talks about his decision to become a doctor, his vision of mentoring and his concern for the downstream effects of racism in medical school.
