I am an American. I live in southeast Louisiana, about 55 miles sw of New Orleans. I surf the internet for interesting British sitcoms and found Doc Martin about 18 months ago. I have watched EVERY episode, twice! I feel like I know these people! Thank you for doing this. Also, I have watched all of Monarch of the Glen filmed in Scotland. I love British TV.
Try Shetland, shown on the BBC. It's a police drama series, filmed almost exclusively in the Shetland Isles, around 100 miles North of mainland Scotland. The accents may not be the easiest to follow, but it's very well written and acted, and is very realistic and gritty. The Shetland Isles scenery will take your breath away......
At 4:54 the couple sat at the table on the right hand side of the pub door in front of the pub notice board, are both of my parents. They love Doc Martin and went to see where its filmed and just happened to find this video and were shocked when they saw themselves. 😳 I've done this also by accident on another RU-vid Video. 😄
We always enjoy your videos. Cute doggies. We are Big Doc Martin fans here in Florida. Fun to see Ian McNeice in the video. I think we've seen some of the episodes, 3 and 4 times now. We are hooked on so many English shows; Detectorists, The Vicar of Dibley, The Thin Blue Line, Agatha Raisin, IT Crowd, Ted Lasso......And we love! Cornwall, we were there over 10 years ago visiting the towns and places my Dad's ancestors once lived. My Dad's other grandfather's family immigrated from Norfolk, England. We've been there 3 times now last trip over in 2019. We hope to get back in the near future again to England and see more of Cornwall, go mudlarking which we just learned about, go birding, and see the areas mentioned in the kids series by Arthur Ransome....the list is long. I've read the first 6 books in the last couple of years during the pandemic, and now getting ready to read the next 6. I want to see puffins maybe at Bempton Cliffs or maybe they have them in Cornwall and visit Port Isaac!
Once again you have done an outstanding job in showing us Port Isaac/Ween. It is a beautiful film and as I can see it is a very beautiful day. The film has puts a smile on my face for today. It is easy to see that both of you and your beautiful dogs have had a great day too. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Wish you the best.. Oh yes, keep posting!!!!!
Yes, we had a fantastic day and meeting Ian McNeice was the icing on the cake. We are planning to make more videos about film locations for Doc Martin over the summer, probably focussing on other film locations in Cornwall - equally as beautiful! Thank you for your lovely comments - keep posting!!!!
OMG My friends I cant wait to get there and this covid wont let me travel to this great port.. that was great meeting Ian he is a great actor and your videos of this great port are awesome..Hope when I get to travel there we can meet up. I so admire your videos my friends!! Im also checking out your art work with the sea glass and Im buying a few of them so thank you!!
Ian McNeice has collected a lot of money for the LifeBoats. I had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife and father inlaw, in 2022 and they are the warmest of people you could meet. A very kind man who sat and spoke with me for about 20 minutes. For those that don't know, Ian has been on TV for decades and can been seen in shows such as Midsomer Murders, LoveJoy, Pie In The Sky and more.
Hello from Texas! I'm a Doc Martin fan and loved your tour video. Am so happy you posted it as I probably will never be able to go there in person. Stay safe. P.S. Loved your dogs.
I think you will be happy to know that we have several Doc Martin film locations on our channel! We love visiting Port Isaac and hope that you enjoy what we do, Doggies say 'Hi!' Sarah :)
Lovely video, we've often wondered why the pub is called The Golden Lion", but the sign says "Crab & Lobster"? Will have to pick up a tour guide next time we are there. Don't live too far away to.
I am going to Port Isaac this June 2020. I am so excited and your videos have really gotten me even more excited. I am from the US and the state of KY. I live on a farm in the country and I know I will feel right at home in Cornwall. I am going to Ireland, Wales, and Cornwall. Not even going to London. I think it would spoil my ideas of England. I do not care for city life. I can only stand NYC for 3 to 4 days then have to get out. And LA- a week at the most. I am actually tired of Florida so I am jumping the pond and finally coming to the places I really want to see. great videos- thanks!
It's so sad to see Ian McNeice weighing around 350 pounds. I wish him lots of luck on his attempt to loose weight. I lost weight in a very simple way. I cut my meals in half. I check my blood pressure and weight every day and record it. It is very easy to lose 1 or 2 pounds (because of the weight chart) rather than 10 pounds without recording the weight. I lost my sister when she was 50 years old. She weighed over 400 pounds (28 stones) and her heart couldn't keep up. Please Ian, give my simple method a try. We want great actors like you to live healthy and act for a long time.
We have a video where we are in Port Isaac when he was filming but there were so many people it was not possible to get close enough. He is so good with fans! Have you found the filming video yet? I think the thumbnail shows Martin Clunes with lots of women! Sarah :)
Cornish Walking Trails I do not remember the one from the filming, I will have to go back through & watch your videos again... I do not mind that, I love watching them... Thank you 😊
@@CornishWalkingTrails I see! Thanks Sarah! Doc Martin is one of my favorite shows, and I always look forward to watching it. Ian is awesome....done some very notable roles over the years. A great guy. You're very lucky to have met him! Thanks again!
