Explore Cornwall with us! We choose a walk from a walk book, follow the map and directions then give a score out of 10. Some of our videos are inspired by homemade walks, old books or comments from viewers.
Sometimes we are lucky enough to stay in holiday accommodation, try it out for a night! So if you are thinking of staying in Cornwall, you may be interested in our accommodation vlogs. We try to include some tips about popular destinations in the area.

Excellent video. I live in other end of uk. I’ve never been to Cornwall. Falmouth looks pretty good to me. I’d happily have a good look round there. Great video. Thanks.
Whoever voted Falmouth depressing has a serious problem. We stay in Falmouth for a holiday most years and it’s lovely…sure you see bits of graffiti here and there and you also see homeless people but compared to where I live it’s beautiful. I’m not going to say where I live as I love my City and most of its people but believe me it’s grim and sadly getting worse…clue…it’s in the Midlands.
What a rubbish survey that must have been - I don’t think it is very accurate though I know friends born and bred in seaside towns don’t tend to rate them very highly - you can get used too, and despondent, about anything I suppose but I’d rather live in a village by the sea in Cornwall than in the middle of the U.K., Birmingham maybe
I must be boring as well then-I love Falmouth- however, I may not be as enthusiastic in the rain and cold on the 5th February when this survey was dated. I think most seaside places would struggle to find very much enthusiasm at that time of the year. Andrew did make me laugh - I agree - Possibly a few bored students started this ball rolling and did it for a laugh. Now for the fun bit - Falmouth has lovely beaches, great scenery, lots of small interesting shops and a good calendar of events. We loved the video Sarah and Andrew - as usual you are the ‘stars’ Well done,
Lovemy video agson 😊 I have visited Falmouth twice and I liked it a lot. Colourful and lively and a lot to offer. That was both times in July. Torunn 🥰
As a born and bred Cornishman; I can say that most of these, innocuous bull crap articles, are the product of a (not uncommon thsee datys) insidious underbellly that I relate to the Ge'Z' generation. I can say without any reservation at all, that to pick ONE place in Oornwall and to make it the demon seed.. is true rhetoric bull crap. St Austelll?? Was once a thrving town centre delight on a Saturday bristling with tourists. These days, a drug infested cess pit. Mevagissey; ah the pae do haven that for over 40 years, one place that was supposed to be a haven for kids, turned out to be abusers paradise. SO, I can honestly say, those who produced that article need to take out the garbage; nough said me handsomes re that!
Fowey is my fave town. Used to holiday there every year staying at Penmarlam in boddinnick. Fudge shop if still there has amazing fudge. Look up Mary Bryant from Fowey, she was on the first fleet to botany Bay and successfully escaped, and made it back to England eventually receiving a royal pardon. Late 1780's. A Dutch film production company filmed her story some years back. Well worth a watch. Have done hall walk several times... a great walk. Also hired boats at Fowey Quay, great value for money and a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
Maybe the survey is being manipulated by the locals in these towns to dissuade outsiders coming in and spoiling things? Personally, I know both Yeovil and Wells …. Whilst I do feel Yeovil is currently struggling and appears rather run down with so many shops boarded up, I have a great fondness for Wells and would argue it has much going for it, mostly seems to be doing … well, quite well (😂 a pun I should now abandon). I actually struggle to think of any boarded up shops … whilst the Falkland Islands “retail outlet” does have a distinctly neglected look these days … it is the Highstreet Banks that are the only really conspicuous closed businesses. Always seems plenty of things going on and a great cafe culture.
Never been to Penzance but it amazed me with the LACK of boarded up shops. Plenty of Grafitti, but that's everywhere thanks to today's youth. It looked like a great little seaside town.
Whoever wrote this must love Falmouth, and dont want it ruined by Londoners moving in and taking over! Dont ruin it! MAN OF KENT! Its happening here, and its horrible. Its nearly £10 a pint here now!
Fun fact: At 5:52 we can see a banner for "Pendennis Caslte". This was actually named after the UK's top journalist from the 90s, Dennis Pennis. If you don't believe me, you can google it. I DON'T TELL LIES.
Wow if Falmouth is the worst, the rest of us don't stand a chance😂. We love it. But ,Andrew, mentioning Camborne before Redruth in this measure, you can go off people you know 😂😂😂😂. Even though I've lived here all my life you always find something I've never seen or heard of. Huge thank you for all the hard work that goes into making your great video's. Would love to see more of Sarah painting ...
People keep calling these towns dumps, they never used to be, once the high street was decimated, the heart of the town has been destroyed, it's going to look bleak and sad and grey, with boarded up shops what else do you expect.
I visited Falmouth in March and thought it was a lovely town and considered it vibrant, interesting and attractive. Great galleries, eating, views and quirkiness. There is no way it should be on the list. I agree, it is total rubbish! Great vlog though and a well deserved big up for Falmouth!!
