"Wow you are so serious" That's why i love her. Although i am not easy to fall in love with someone, not like her.But i can relate to her mix feelings in songs.Passion, anger, desire, emptiness, sadness, bitter feelings. Yet her music doesn't make me depressed but heal.

now I absolutely love Meg Myers. But I see this a lot with bands. Pay attention she gets all the praise she's not the only one performing. As much as I love her I truly do and this goes with a lot of bands. I don't understand why the singers are the only ones that truly get the praise. 🤔💙
Jim, that's interesting, because I am the one of those who compares her to Cobain. What I am primarily referring to is two things: (1) I think vocal coaches everywhere would cringe at her voice, and I. DON'T. CARE. It's exactly the "flaws" resulting from being untrained that makes her voice so raw and effective and evocative. I love it. (2) The deceptive simplicity of her music, particular the guitar parts. It's simple and easy, but infused with so much power! I'm going to go listen to some Damien Rice now, to see what you're referring to.

I hear that too, when I explain her too ppl, I use Fleetwood Mac, and Trent Reznor, and Sinead O'Connor (how she loses herself in her music and doesn't give a crap) thrown into a blender lol
Only suggestion I have would be don't repeat lyrics in second verse , same melody but different lyrics cuz her writing is interesting I wanted to hear more what she had to say

Dang it! Her *early childhood* was in the Smokies. She was *born* in Nashville. Nashville is *not* in the Smokies. Not even close. Please do not conflate the two. There are three distinct geographic regions in TN. East, middle, and west. They were settled at different times, have different driving economics, and have different politics. All that aside, I really like her music.
Meg's allure is more mysterious, deeper and darker than the Kabbalah... You really want to know the secrets but a part of you is afraid to find out the truth.
I love how awkward she is. It's extremely relatable - I feel like I'd freeze up in front of an interviewer - and it just further reflects how completely genuine she is.
The interviewer was kinda rude. Meg handled it so well, but my fave thing is seeing Ken's face of "wtf" when the guy is questioning if her life has ever been hard lol
That interviewer is like the condescending father who thinks he has known and seen everything 'omg your life has been hard it couldn't possibly be you whiny little girl with your first world problems, back in my day...'
well thats your opinion... you know, i like selena gomez because shes hot but i think she is limited, shes not a really good singer but there is millions of people who like her music so its just a matter of tastes. her imperfect signing style is what makes her(meg) different.
Imperfect singing? Maybe, but she is one of the best _live_ performing artists IMO. If anyone liked her studio records, will also like her performances on stage.
