Another problem with Mega evolution is that you can't realistically give every pokemon a mega evolution. Not just is that an insane amount of work, even if you did it would remove the whole "coolness" of mega evolution. What people like about Mega evolution is the idea of their favorite pokemon getting one and the reason Gamefreak mostly gave these to already popular pokemon (those that actually need them the least) is because that is the best way to satisfy the most people. A big part of why megas where removed is because they where so exclusive to specific pokemon. All other mechanics where given to everyone, with some getting special treatment inside of that. Gigadynamax was basically Gamefreaks way of trying to bring back mega evolution in a diet way. Tho naturally everyone having the mechanic makes it less "cool", which loops back around to why people want mega evolution back in the first place.
Keep going bro your vids are hilarious, entertaining, and are good at tackling the topics you choose. I've watched some of your vids and all of them have made me laugh everytime.
So. In terms of competitive pokemon Yes. Dynamaxing was the best. It allowed you to have fun and use weird pokemon and actually win! (until the dlc came out and ruined it)
@@asbed Yes, ur absolutely right, but as much as i say dynamax is better, I still think that mega evolution has its redeeming qualities, and I have to say I love ur vids 😍, they never fail to make my day better, keep up the comedy 😁
so happy by the way i was izzyandthing but my chanel got taken down so now i luffy blazing rewatching your videos because it always peaks lets goooooooooooooo mega evolution yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
No it’s not. That’s Tera. Megas are too centralizing to be considered balanced. I posted a essay on the pokemon fandom explaining why Megas are the worst gimmick for battling, and that they should never return to any games that aren’t exclusively single player
