Great game. I got lucky when I first played it when it came out and went for Metal Man. Which made wood man a breeze. After that I made some bad boss choices, but eventually beat it when I figured out the right sequence.
Isn't that funny how that stuff works? Just randomly going for Metal Man helped a ton I bet. You have more patience than I do, I had to look up which boss order to go in, but that's super cool you were able to work your way through the game on your own! Impressive feat, thanks for watching.
1.5 M sales in the 80s with limited games is incredible! I wonder if I would have stuck with the series had I played MM2 first... unfortunately MM1 kicked my butt and I kinda avoided all the MM games during my childhood. Agreed! These levels do look a lot more polished than MM1. I do love the cutscenes in retro games. I think part of it is that I could imagine developing something like that myself, because it wasn't an insanely unachievable technical marvel, haha
It is very impressive that Mega Man 2 sold so well and it really proved what a great upgrade it was over the original. MM1 is no joke, and there's no shame in saying it kicked your butt. I think it kicked everyone's butt! The levels for MM2 are way better and the added health helps a lot. I would love to see your cutscenes if you ever designed them! Thanks for watching buddy.
@@TigerChainsawVideoGames Weirdly enough I didn't find Mega Man 1 terribly difficult. I had beaten the second one first, so maybe that practice paid off, but the only reason I didn't beat MM1 the first time I played it was that I had to go do something else. I then beat it the next time when I had more time (I was playing on original hardware, so no saving for me). What I find strange is how much more trouble I had when I went on to try out 3-6. Perhaps I just found the first game's simpler levels easier to deal with?
The best? Nah, but I do feel that MM2 is one of those games that does everything right in terms of a sequel. It enhances pretty much every aspect of the original and began to cement the foundation for the series as a whole moving forward.
Mega Man 2 is always considered the best, but I think mainly due to the vast improvements from its predecessor. The subsequent ones that followed tweaked the formula, but only got better technically. Still wild hearing how much it sold for an NES game back then. Great review man!
It's weird because this is my favorite Mega Man game, but I know that it's worse than some of the others. I credit the top tier robot masters, I guess.
It is such an excellent game still! It did so much for the franchise with the upgrades. The robot masters are a ton of fun too. Thanks for watching and sharing your input on this game.
How dare you not saying that it's the best in the series! OK I'll stop now because I've already faked indignation in your NES Compilation of all 6 of them lol! Awesome review! Way more relaxed, good explanation of the challenges and yes I agree the soundtrack is epic! Great video and keep up the good work!
Lol I love your fake outrage! The soundtrack to this game is so good, I really enjoy the series as a whole with the music but I just feel like they nailed it with the second one. I'm glad it's a little easier because the first one was super tough! Thanks for watching buddy.
I think Wood man looks like the coolest boss out of all the new ones and I agree that this one looks more upgraded than the first mega man. Nice video!
Awesome, I love watching these! I love it because you’re able to focus solely on the one game with great details. Can’t wait till the next, great vid Seth!
Thank you, I love doing reviews. I've written them for so long but thought it'd be fun to turn them into videos now! Hope all is well with you buddy, thanks for watching!
