speaking og lucky one ups just yesterday when i was playing mega man two on the crashman stage and the birds would drop those egg bombs. every bird that i shot dropped a one up. it was crazy
I believe that the point of having a springboard is that it's easier to get into places where you don't need the whole bounce, ad don't hit your head on the ceiling and falling back down, by jumping after the apex of the bounce. Also, it reduced glitchy side effects and helps you retain regular jump momentum after you jump, where in megaman 4, the jump is not able to go as far.
If you shoot a Super Arrow in the right direction and hold right on top of it you do a funny dance at the edge, but you have to hold right after it starts moving.
@GeminiLaser have you seen the AVGN Episode Game Glitches at the part where he demonstrates a very weird encounter during mega man 5, when he fights big pets, the platforms remained stationary on him, but they still moved, causing the AVGN to be hit by invisible objects while playing the stage

one time in mm2 i threw a metal blade into a pack of those birds, and they dropped 3 1-ups directly on top of eachother :P, i still lost them all on airmns stage
Yeah, they finally ironed out a lot of the glitches between 4 and 5. 5, sadly, is not the cornucopia of glitches that 1, 2 and 3 were. That said, neat showoff video. Can wait for MM6. ... Yes, I said CAN wait. I know you'll do awesome, but really. I didn't care for 6 much, and if you had a hard time making the weapons in 5 interesting, well... 6 is going to be a lot worse for that.
