@@bowenmadden6122eSports were out WAY before this game out. it's just wasn't as mainstream and pushed in the west. StarCraft is the Frontier of eSports in Korea.
One thing that BN4 definitely did right was allowing you to actually fight Norm and 'Heal' Navis. Rather than just... giving you a bunch of viruses to fight instead.
@@Lukeormaybenath I mean they have to, Battle Network 4 is literally called Tournament Red Sun/Blue Moon, so these tournament features are the main aspect.
The crowd cheering, the battlefield materializing, the intense staring of your opponent, the music 🎵... It's moments like these that'll make it worth remembering!
Full Syncro Airhockey3, 2 rows of enemy panels stolen, then use a Colorpt and wait for the boss to go into the middle left square = Devastation. Potentially world ending if you're lucky enough to get an Advance for PitHockey and setup the previous conditions, a rare situation I've only had the chance to be blessed with a handful of times. Air Hockey is an art form but is also a power no Navi should posses! Dangerous if left in the wrong hands.
I still remember my first tournament battle. I remember looking at the crowd in the background while listening to this and feeling like I was in a decisive battle. Great battle theme.
I love the cool battle transition before the battle starts it really feels like I’m in an actual tournament, ofc with this song as well and fitting name too.
@@symphomaniac -Spoilers- Actually this game is about making a tournament to choose the best fighter to stop the asteroid. I like the concept actually but it could be better. The thing annoying about this game is how the battle chips sucks, irrelevant stories and the enemies are so hard.
When you think about it, the tournaments are like tests for the player. Once you get the dark chips, you are very likely to see them here, tempting you to finish the fight quickly with their 500 damage outputs and the 1000 hp recovery chip. I can see Lan debating if he should use them or not. They are just chips... right?
I'll say, despite the game having many flaws, including the game breaking glitch I ran into that prevented me from progressing in the story (the DS Woodman glitch), the unholy annoyance of a final boss known as Duo, and the "in-game marketing" for Boktai; I did get some enjoyment of actually fighting normal and evil Navi's as opposed to the usual virus battle, I loved the opening animation when you begin a tournament battle, I liked some of the designs for the bosses, I loved that this game introduced Double Soul, and some of the music tracks, especially this theme, are nice.
Rain Richards Laserman was the best antagonist that Nebula had to offer. He wasn't just a generic "I'll freeze you guys to the bone" Blizzardman -like villain,he truly believed in Regal's motivations for creating a world of pure "evil". Nebula was a good antagonist in this game, too bad it had only 2 unique navis.
And don't forget about finally being able to battle Roll. Shame they didn't add Glide/Glyde too (although some experienced guys added him to a BN6 ROM and made a video of it).
People may dislike the tournament system of this game (and quite frankly, they take way too much space in the story) but damn the tournament battle theme is awesome! also, the fact that you get to fight some pretty strong NORMAL Navi makes this even better.
The "normal" navi piloted by Flave the chef in Blue Moon is seriously harder to beat than any of the next five tourney opponents after him. It's ridiculous.
@@EnvisionerWill Depends. On Very Hard, the most difficult bosses are definitely the Beta and Omega versions of the "real" boss Navis. But on Normal and Hard? I agree, some Normal and "Heal" Navis were legit harder than some V1/Alpha version of the boss Navis.
@@NeoArashi Well I dunno if I'm actually ever going to play on SuperHard; I'm not that much of a completionist. I just want to complete the whole storyline, meet all the characters, have one epic final boss match against Bass or whoever, and then move on to the next game.
@@EnvisionerWill well, to get ro Bass, you need to get to Super Hard. You can only get the 6th and final Soul on that difficulty (and it's needed to get to bass) You also need all 150 regular chips.
I hesitate to call this the absolute best theme in BN4, just because the Electrical Tower Comp theme made an extremely strong early impression. Still, it's clear that this one is the most addictive, the one that keeps coming back into my head, and the one that I seemingly can't get tired of hearing, having just played it three times back-to-back just today.
Me and the boys before math test: If you study, it's because you doubt your knowledge. Also me and the boys during math test: *Why the fuck do I hear boss music?*
So many great battles went with this theme (Topman and Videoman come to mind). However, no boss fits better than Burnerman. I can still see and hear the burners move back and forth across the screen.
I love this song, it's my favorite of this game, when I'm going to have a tournament battle I put my earphones and I turn up the volume at the maximum level.
And it is the one that got me (and alot other ppl) into the series. I surmise this game isn't as weak as we all think. Most ppl will just never see its full potential as they found it interesting to make it Japan only (E-Cards is what I'm aiming at...).
Given that this is the music which you hear when Megaman fights Dark Megaman, I really can't fathom why the OTHER boss battle theme is the one they named "Battle with Myself".
Diego Valenzuela I can see that as being a problem. But 4 was mostly tournament based and included those common navis and undernet navis as characters you could battle. It also was the only game with a good new game +. But hey, different strokes for different folks.
Basically Megaman Battle Network 4 is only Battle Network game where you can different scenario when you start a new game. Its like new plus game. Quite tedious you have to start over again but amazing feet to play
"come on, feel the motion, feel the passion, feel the tension, feel the anger, feel the hatred, feel the darkness, come on, feel the rhythm, feel the battle, lets dance - come on" "feel the motion, feel the passion, feel the tension, feel the anger, feel the hatred, feel the darkness, feel the battle, feel the battle - feel the battle"
Each time I listen this music, I remembered the tension I had got during the battle against Protoman (I don't remember his version), but I've had to struggle with just 1 fuckin' HP because I forgot to select the chips I needed to make the Life Sword PA but one turn later I've selected these chips and finallt won the match!
Of course, barring Blue Moon during the Woodman scenario, where your save file literally breaks if you're not playing on an original GBA (or a sufficiently advanced emulator)... even if you're on a DS Lite or GBA SP. Nintendo even noted that Battle Network 4 wouldn't work for the DS on an old FAQ, although they didn't specify the problem.
oh GOD! Burn-man was the bane of my existence untill i moved to 5 protoman. Then when i beat 5 and came back. I looked and said, "Im going to enjoy murdering you hahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
I feel like this theme and the normal boss theme should've been swapped around, and they were implemented like this by a mistake. This one does sound like you are in a decisive battle against the evil, while the normal boss theme sounds way too chill and upbeat for the most of fights you have with that song
