NOTE: This is the same TAS as posted before, just added item display to the side so you can easily know what has been acquired and what now. For more info: tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=458962#458962
@@dylanlarson4658 X6 was badly programmed and was rushed as hell released ONLY three months after X5. To this day, we still find some code that weren't placed correctly, for example: Did you know you should kill Nightmare zero on Level 4 to release Zero? Instead, Nightmare zero NEVER gets to level 4 because of a dumb mistake, and because of that you can also unlock him way earlier in the game. There are tons of issues and level design issues with X6 and the reason is simple: Rushed Game. That's it. Want another example: See how any capsule for X's armors are always in safe places, sometimes you need a weapon or a strategy to get there but there's no enemy in the place and not a piece of envrioment trying to kill you. How many times in X6 the capsules are in weird positions, with the envrioment trying to kill you or sometimes like in the museum in the worst place possible forcing X to 'hear' light speaking because there's no ground to be when you active the capsule. Even the safe spots in X6 are not safe. They break so many rules from previous games it's hilarious.
Hell, at least Scaravich is immediately understandable. Infinity Mijinion on the otherhand.... megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Infinity_Mijinion#:~:text=Mijinion%20is%20in%20fact%20a,mijinko%22%2C%20which%20means%20daphnia. Talk about obscure.
God, I love whem TAS'ers make detailed overlays like this one. It's the reason I love that Pokémon Red and Blue "co-op diploma" TAS. Thanks for posting this version!
@@sonicboy678yeah, at least X6 is pretty enjoyable especially if you enjoy a challenge. X7 was a good idea on paper but capcom just completely forgot how tonmake a good 3d action platformer and then made the 2d parts feel weirder to play.
This is the most detailed rockman video i've ever seen. Rerecord count for nearly 80 thousands, wow. How long does it take? Thanks you so much for you passion!
@altreon3608 As hilarious as Zombie Sigma is, yes, I agree, he was kinda pointless. At least he led to X dropping quite possibly his best line in the series (not counting anything in Maverick Hunter X)!
This is really cool to watch, but at the same time it reminds me that I accidentally saved over my X file yesterday... I was only a couple bosses in but it meant I needed to get through Heatnix's stage again and that level had me furious. From the looks of this, though, seems beating the Shark earlier could make it a fair bit easier.
Level design in this game is so rushed that it's bad, and one of the pieces of one of the armor is hidden behind a fake wall. How were we supposed to know that we could go through it? We could barely see what is on the other side.
It is pretty simple. The block is tangible once it hits the ground. You position X where the block inside the block before it is take and BAM. Now you know.
If anyone remembers X5 was originally going to be the end of the X series until the creator decided to continue the series after so much demand for more.
Every stage in this game is so...ugly. It's really just not a very well made game by any measure though. 4 was great, 5 was...ok, but this one I really don't have any desire to ever play again. 1=2>4>3>5>6 imo. The first 4 are all excellent though, it wasn't until 5 that it heavily dipped in quality. They went from anime cutscenes to slideshow pictures! 😪
Not only that, X4 didn't sell well so the budget was limited for X5, in my opinion, its better without voices and those pictures made it feel like reading a comic/manga and the music was awesome, I wouldn't liked to see the friendly anime look it had in 4, as in 5 it had a more serious tone, after all. it was ment to be the last MMX game.
36:02 siempre me pregunte que necesidad hay de poner el escudo hacia abajo, como seria posible usarlo y ahí tengo mi respuesta XD LoL, creo que con el TAS es la única manera de ver como todos los poderes son utiles xd
Yes, it is a trick called Saber Walljumping Trick, i'll leave here what it does: Saber Walljumping Trick: Allows X to cancel backward movement after doing a walljump by using the saber, saving some frames occasionally. Not always usefull though, since it forces said walljump to be as high as possible, sometimes not being the optimal solution.
Perfect way to use Blade armor, I guess Shadow S U C C now Never have I known that Blade can be dashed so smoothly yet non stop, combine them with Ice power and bam, perfect Does......anyone actually agreed that Falcon is best lookin' 2nd to Ulti, 3rd to Shadow and Blade I still remembered that this was actually the 1st offline game that nerfed something like Falcon armor, it used to be frickin op in X5
47:36 what parts are being used during the end of this TAS video? It's going so fast that I can barely keep up even on slow motion speed... from what I can tell, at least 7 parts are being used; using the part glitch. 50:02 you can see the 4 visible parts on screen: hyper dash, buster +, weapon + and energy saver. Also before exiting the parts selection screen for the last time during the run, you can also see that "powerdrive" is also equipped so that's another one; that makes 5 total for sure. Speedster might have been equipped as well since this is a TAS playthrough. I'm not sure if the speedster stats, stack on top of hyper dash or have no extra effect. 🤔
The parts used are: Hyper Dash, Weapon+, Quick Charge, Buster+, Energy Saver, D-Barrier, D-Converter and Power Drive. I also used Ultimate Buster before the final stages. For more info check this link: tasvideos.org/5644S
@@saisudachatrakulnaayudhya6885 Jks a side i can fell you memorized it Just so you can finish the game like, boy i dont remenber anything about fractions but i remenbers this guy spot
@@tycelica123 Oh, he definitely used some glitch exploit here. Notice that, on 50:04, the pause screen actually shows 2 more itens than what was set during the parts select; And in that same timeframe, he performs a Quick Charge, even though that item doesn't show up at all during the pause screen.
Yeah there's a bug where if you do certain inputs at the same time, the game doesn't disable the Part's effects when you remove it from the loadout, letting you stack impossible combos and ignore the Rank equip limits except for the Rank needed to equip the Purple Parts(and because of how those function you can't use more then one of those)
Very entertaining tas! Liked how you made things interesting even during spots you could not do anything. Charged Laser Arrow rapes. Also, Liked the upside down teleport 52:40. What is going on sometimes when you go into the menu during fights like at 57:13, is that just a weapon change? Shit you destroyed this. Yea I do see how this game could have been a bit better. It is almost like all the stages do not match the powerups, and they seem really short, also with one boss repeated like 7 times ahah.
Glad you loved this, it matters a lot. About the pause, yes, it is to change weapons, normally you can't switch weapons while one weapon is on screen but by pausing you can cancel it and change. Thanks for your input.
I feel the blood boiling just from seeing the lights out in jungle stage. It's the more frustrating that the game is actually good and I gladly finished it. Just painful as heck
