After the Mother Elf eradicated the Maverick virus,a new virus was born when the Mother Elf was corrupted by Dr. Weil after that timeline. It resulted in the Elf wars,which was more dangerous than the Maverick wars,resulting of 90% reploids and 60% of humans killed in the war that lasted for 4 years. MegaMan Zero is a game that was set 100 years after the MegaMan X series

@@seiyakurosaki4464 The nice thing is with the timeskip between the X and Zero series, it's just open enough for Capcom to milk the X series for a few more entries before they ever get to the end of the Maverick Virus era/start of the Elf Wars. Same with the original series and the X series.
we know, zero died many times in the past games, but this... frankly, I feel this was a worthy end for him. after so many years living and fighting, he deserved a honorable rest.
Yeah, definitely feels more deserving than in X5 With X5, you only got to play as zero for 2.5 games (the .5 being X3 which I don’t really count), and even if it was meant to be the end of zero initially, it just didn’t feel like a true hero’s end anyway. Here though, you’ve played solely as Zero for four games straight and followed him throughout this entire story as the main protagonist rather than a side character. And that post credit shot of his helmet in the debris is the cherry on top

Except for the fact that z and x models don't contain any dna souls because nothing was left of them, or at least found (don't remember where I read this) they're the only models to be entirely artificial

Maining the Buster and leaving the Saber in the Sub slot is a no go for optimal Z4 boss play, tbh. And boss tends to be killed faster if you don't constantly charge your weapon after each charged hits
I was always eager about a sequel to Megaman Zero 4. 10+ years later after playing all Megaman Zero’s and understanding this ending here, I was shocked to my core. The same way I got shocked about Fate/Zero’s ending.
I kind of wish they would have left the credits theme as an instrumental like in the original GBA version, instead of adding the vocal track version. The lyrics being added definitely takes this credit sequence...down a bit.
And it's weird too...Volnutt is millennials more older than MegaMan X...yet he's still weaker than the Classic MegaMan And X was built to be better than the Classic MegaMan
Don't the reploids turn into cyber-elf when they "die"? Even if Zero's physical body was destroyed Ciel can just build another body for him later. X has been a cyber ghost thingy for 3 games and he "died" way earlier.
You do ciel you do well megaman x6 that fan realizes that zero come back in time so basically zero just created time split well kinda I hope zero is back
