It's moments like these that makes me wish we got a Megaman Zero Anime, the way the lines were delivered, the emotion in every word, the soundtrack mixed with everything else, it all sends chills doen my spine

Props to Ciel's voice actor here. The panic is so viscerally real you cant help but feel that its real.

Drama cds should have been implemented someway into the collection, it adds so much to the feel of the game

I think about that scream from Rie Tanaka often. I don't understand a word of Japanese... but I can tell that voice actress put her heart and soul into making Ciel sound like a part of her was dying as Zero made his final sacrifice.

Once falling down starts playing, and Zero says "Believe in me", I lose it.

Never played this but transition to the second fight alongside the music is ridiculously badass

Ciel's scream and Zero's final words really do sting. This scene tells you that Zero has no intention of coming back, which is why he chose to blow up Ragnarok along with Dr. Weil... and himself.

AND THIS....is why Megaman Zero deserves its own anime adaptation. This was so good!!!

You can almost imagine a hologram of Dr. Wily looking enraged at Dr. Weil in the background and mentally projecting to Zero. "You are my magnum opus...my finest masterpiece...THE STRONGEST! BE THE HERO I KNEW YOU COULD BE!!!"

That final hit. I could almost see Zero driving through the beam, his body getting wrecked as he charged through and drove his Z-Saber into Weil's face as his final act, destroying Weil, his core, and Ragnarok, thus saving all of humanity at the cost of his life.

The moment Zero showed he is the true hero of the entire Megaman Saga.

"Redeemer" Redeemer of himself... and Wily. Zero finally knew the purpose of his existence. And proved to the world that Doctor Albert Wily is the greatest robot creator of all time.

A lot of people giving props to Ciel's VA (and rightfully so) but lets not forget that Dr. Wile's VA did a pretty good job to dude sounds like an absolute psycho who has nothing but contempt for the world and is proud of it, while Zero's VA sounds like a person who's been through so much like losing his gf and best friend he even lost his reason to fight all the way back in X4, giving us that infamous line, what is he fighting for? But as he begins to realise his answer in this moment he decides what he must do. His final act of heroism. You can feel all of that just through the voice acting alone on a freaking ds game WOW!!!

Ciel's scream ruined my heart again.. Despite Zero was finally able to find the reason what he's fighting for, I still can't accept it that the hero have to sacrifice himself

It is really sad that Zero was never rewarded for his efforts.... The True Man of His Words... Did everything according to his own "justice"

As a note here, in Japanese, Zero doesn't say that he doesn't care about Justice. He says he doesn't see himself as a 正義のみかた, literally "an ally of justice," which is often translated into "superhero." It's the word used for lots of children's superheroes like Ultra Man, etc. Zero is explaining that he has been labeled many things, a virus, a copy, a legendary hero, a maverick, etc. Weil's sense of justice tried to make him believe that he would be labeled as a maverick for harming a human. Zero's long had to wonder what he's fighting for anymore. His own sense of justice? To prove something? No, all along, it hasn't mattered what he's been labeled. He's only ever fought to protect those who believe in him, in who he really is regardless of his past, original purpose, or body. Zero is a hero to those who need him. If an enemy appears to attack those he cares about, he's not going to hesitate to take them down. So freaking cool.

In Zero's case, you either die a villain, or live long enough to become the hero.

I may not have liked the Megaman Zero games as much as Megaman X ones, but my goodness... this game could not have ended on a more epic and tragic note. Zero went out like a boss. A brilliant ending in the final chapter of the most badass Maverick Hunter of all.

To be honest, I'm getting tired of people saying that Zero is still alive right after he sacrificed himself. Just let it go and accept that Zero is gone. Cherish his selfless act to save the world god damn it!

Zero is the perfect example of something created for evil purposes doesn't necessarily has to follow that path. He chose his own path, the path of good, peace and redeemption. From my view, I think Zero is the actual representation of what Dr. Wily thruthly is, without his jealousy and envy for Dr. Light. I don't think Dr. Wily is pure evil, he's just a broken man, but Zero, shows the best of Wily and what is supposed to be. This is something that Isoc (Dr. Wily's AI conscience) noticed in Zero back in Megaman X6, that's why he was proud of Zero, to the point that before he left, Zero was able to listen to Wily's voice about how proud he is: "Go go... Zero, you are the strongest robot." When Zero defeated Omega, he redeemed himself from his past sins. When he defeated Dr. Weil, he redeemed his creator Dr. Wily, because Dr. Weil represented the summary of all of Dr. Wily's past transgressions, frustrations, failures, envy and sins, so by stopping him, not only did he save humanity and reploids, he also saved Dr. Wily's soul. In a way I like to think that, after those events, Dr. Wily is finally at peace becoming friends with Dr. Light again, just like before their rivalry.

Ciel's shouting Zero before battle it does gave me helluva goosebumps. But it makes the perfect way to start the final fight and end this once and for all.

I just noticed "Falling Down" kicks in right as he says "If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"

This shit was emotional enough, and then Ciel screams. God dammit, muh feels

Ultimately, Dr.Wily ended up building the robot that would end up saving the world for good.

This was the saddest moment in my gaming youth. I was CRUSHED when Zero died, but felt so good when I dealt that final blow on Weil.

Ciel screaming just makes the finale all the more depressing. ;/\;

i guess X picked the right choice to leave the "World's Savior" Rank to Zero,because he DOES deserve it after all the Incidents from X series to Z series... i wish he would mention X again before the crash tho

Dr. Weil sounded like Master Asia from G-Gundam. That scream of desperation from Ciel really wrenched my heart there.

God damn everything about this is so good. From Weil's voice acting in general to Ragnarok Core leading perfectly into Falling Down to Zero delivering a climactic final blow right as the song ends. And then that codename, Redeemer. Zero is redeeming himself from his past actions in being the host of the Maverick Virus as well as being the final creation of Dr. Wily, thus redeeming Wily as well. To redeem can also mean to save someone or something from an evil, of which Zero certainly is. I've probably watched this like over two dozen times. It's just so well done.

Born as a Maverick... Died as a Maverick, but did it for the greater good to save humanity. Never in their lifetime that there was one Maverick that helped humans. Ironic enough that Zero is a Maverick but he's a Maverick Hunter as well. May Zero rest in cyberspace..

The Voice actor for ciel was amazing since she captured the emotion of everything that was happening make it so authentic. but then again im not surprised considering this is Rie Tanaka were talking about. at the top of my head i could think a few roles she was amazing at. Lacus Clyne - Gundam Seed Mitsuru Kirijo - Persona 3 and Neptune/Purple Heart - Hyperdimension Neptunia The amazing part about the last part is that Neptune and Purple heart have two different voices and you wouldnt know that its the same V.O unless you did research on it

I can not emphasize how good this playthrough is not only is the use of the drama CD top tier but on top of that the way he handles the opposition is legitimately smart superb job on this adson blaze

If it weren't for Dr. Wily and Ciel's ancestor's efforts, the world of Megaman would of been a bleak future.

Kids cry in Call Of Duty funerals. Real men cry at this ending, the true ending of Gunvolt 1, and the ending of Ori And The Will Of The Wisps.

This ending is so much better than, say, Metroid Fusion's ending, which had about the same idea (crashing/exploding space station). But Fusion's final boss was generic, the atmosphere was generic (with the boring Ridley theme playing for nostalgia stuff), the final boss didn't even have it's own theme. You knew it was all scripted, as they wanted to repeat the idea of the Mother Brain fight in Super Metroid (which WAS great). In Zero 4, you see the walls literally being torn apart by sheer pressure.

Megaman x has its tear jerkers but this.. no way. This had me breathin heavy and hiding myself away so no one saw me trying not to cry. Rest easy zero.

Still gives me the chills. I think this moment was the most epic moment in the entire series.

This was the exact moment in the franchise that I became glad X died. Replacing Zero with X would've ruined this scene, as X had by the time he sealed himself away become so powerful and so detached that he would've just ended Weil right out of the gate without any of the build up.

You know, I realized something very important recently. X was an Android of principles. He fought for humanity because he believed that the world deserved a peaceful co-existed between humanity and their creations, as it was what his creator wanted and what he learned in stasis that it was the right thing to do. Zero was the inverse in both personality and nature as an Android to X. He was driven by emotion. He fought because of the friendships he built with first X, and then the humans who X fought for (as he says here, "I never cared for justice and never recall calling myself a hero. I've always fought for those I believed in", an inversion of his creator's desire for Zero to be a being of chaos and destruction, to be the ultimate combat robot. In Freudian & Jungian terms, X was the Ego, and Zero was the Id.

Hearing this with the voice acting and remastered music is so gut wrenching. It just enhances the emotions i feel everytime i watch this scene like.. tenfold! Its so insane!

I am gobsmacked by the way you play and edited the scenes here! They are so beautiful. xD This series should definitely be remade, with additional content, bosses, and an alternate playable character, while keeping everything else, intact.
