I think breaches are dumb. When last deadman came i thought mosters would roam around randomly creating absolute chaos. Imagine crossing Lumbridge bridge and seeing Graador in middle of goblins or some madlad luring Nex next to a bank and killing bunch of AFK players

A breach cap every 48 hours or something could work well. That way every couple days you might reach the cap early and be able to skip a couple, but then after the 48 hours is up you'd benefit again

I'm mainly excited for DMM, because I didn't know anything about it last year and just skipped it. Then I learned about how crazy it was after the fact. I also heard that you can make tons of gp by swapping gold early on, and I'm hoping that's an option again.

I think overloads should be added to the main game and locked behind 99 herblore. To make one, it should require all divine potions to be combined. Additionally, they should be untradeable

The megarare kits should be removed imo. Twisted leagues did the same thing removing ancestral kits and later moving them to CM raids. Endgame cosmetics should come from endgame content. Pvp related kits are fine, but don’t do my sanguine scythe dirty by adding a budget version 😆

Exactly. It's one thing for the darkbow, an almost exclusively pvp weapon but putting an item cosmetic that's only used in pvm in a PVP event is garbage and just screams at how jagex wants to keep forcing people into PVP and pk content to get items that are valuable to them when they dont engage with the content otherwise.

Combat brackets for the finale, chivalry, rigour and augory have no Def requirements. All basic sigils have more damage. It's Ganna be a slaughter, especially in the lower level brackets. Cant wait to try bossing or raids on a new limited with raids prayers. Anyone else hyped?

Overloads are already in OSRS, in CoX and in NMZ. DMM doesn’t transfer to maingame, so unless I’m missing something, the blighted overloads are only in this seasonal event, and even then, these ones drain defence instead of boosting. Saying “overloads are coming to osrs” would be like saying “ruinous powers are coming to osrs” or “agility xp boots (sages greaves) are coming to osrs” because the leagues had them

It’s an interesting concept because the overloads can be used in PVP, and Jagex is essentially bringing them into dmm to test how effective and sought after they will be. Assuming they aren’t too OP or ineffective, they may decide to have some iteration of them in the main game for bossing or pvp content down the road. Not quite coming to OSRS fully, but the concept is there.

Im really glad that they are making it more fun for the average player. because I want to get into pvp but never know where to start or practice. they have LMS but this way not only does it force you into pvp scenario but also how to run and survive pkers. im looking forward to it

Sigil of restoration is going to be crazy in nhing fights “restores 10% of damage to your hit points on successful hits” you’ll never die/run out of food that’s crazyyyy I like the sigil of adroit if you have dh and risk the HP you’ll be almost guaranteed a decent hit with the accuracy boost cause if you’re 99hp and get down to 70 that’s 30% accuracy boost and that’s insane with all weapons in general but DH will benefit the most since it’s max hit is based off lower hp and is usually very inaccurate

The cap on points is solid. It deters so many people from showing up. They should allow people with pvp protection timer to also kill and loot breaches.

personal opinion here; an ornament kit should be an ornament kit - not a recolor. Only exciting thing here is the POH rug, unfortunately. Recolors can be done in literal seconds from a design perspective

DMM WOOOOOOOO!! Agree point cap from breaches is a bit low. For reference at solo breaches I was getting ~3k or so points last go around so on avg if we say 2 breaches a day times 14 = 28*3k = 84k pts doing 2 breaches a day for 2 weeks solo breaches only. Having a cap is great though. Sucked to have to get 5h sleep every day to compete. If I had missed one more breach I wouldn't have made front page. This go-around with there being 4 the ability to sleep without account sharing is very welcome, the numbers are just a bit off.

@@evanyeager I’m not saying ban people. Just that one of the points in the video was that the worlds are dead.. well the reason for that is because casual players aren’t going to waste time grinding in a temporary game mode where they have a close to 0% chance of making it to the end with any decent gear/skill levels. It’s too easy for the sweats to merk you and set you back hours of gameplay which took you days to acquire. With that being said, you (Jagex) then have a choice: either make the game 100% designed for sweats, or, make the game more accessible for noobs. I think it would be best to make the game mode more accessible. The sweats would have more fun if there were tons of noobs playing anyways but the problem is that no noobs or even semi-competent players want to play deadman.

I think trying to make deadman super competitive was its biggest mistake. It’s just fun, being competitive is fine but the game itself as a comp is a bit difficult, too many imbalances imo

If I’m brutally honest, these are some seriously underwhelming changes. I think all OG’s only need one change, which are the 1v1’s. I don’t play myself but I’m a very loyal follower on RU-vid and personally, Soup’s GG and the older DMM’s are the best content out there. Only thing I cannot do is speak for the fun whilst playing DDM. My point is: from a spectator’s perspective, nothing beats the old format and competitiveness should drive DMM. You put it well saying that that is gone, and it’s a shame.

Jagex should run an official tournament that runs only 8 hours. Everyone starts at base level 50s and if you die once at all to anything you’re eliminated.

@@Winsorvy no, deadman mode still, just one life for everyone. And only 8 hours. You can make as many accounts as you want. World stops allowing new accounts after 4 hours into the tournament. And once you log off you’re out too

Can’t you just buy the cosmetics off GE if you don’t want to participate? I’m not huge fan of pvp but I gotta say I love tank testing and the thrill of the rare anti PK for me in deadman. And bossing is super fun with all the weird perks with tons of money to be made swapping if you’re into that. I don’t see what’s so wrong, they do same for leagues and unless your Ironman you can just buy it and not participate

Hot take: I like the idea of overloads, even in the main game, and even in pvp. I don't want them to have too many stats over super combats, but hear me out.. We've gotten to the point where switches are crazy. In Pvm, you actually get to bring food that works as food. Currently, drinking a brew makes it so that you have to chug a super combat potion before you attack again, *or* drink a to of them to heal up, chug X amount of restores, and *then* re pot. You lose so many ticks healing, *and* you need to restore back up again. It makes healing so bad, compared to just eating hard food + 1 brew and then scp again, or an even better option is to just not take damage in the first place. With overloads, you'd just need to brew, and then restore at the end of the 15 sec timer, and you'd be set As for pvp.. Well this is a greedy reason but I hate the brew meta. I get that with ovls, you'd be even more incentivized to brew, but at least you don't need to worry about your boosting your range up again whenever you decide to bolt. Plus, less pot locks drinking those restores if you get combo'd. Overall W for me

Either deadman should have it's own cosmetics, like leagues, or it should give points to buy league cosmetics. Buying ingame cosmetics is ridiculous, especially on ironman accounts. Imagine being a hardcore ironman who managed to get a rare PVE cosmetic. Suddenly you can just play deadman on your HC and get the cosmetics safely.
