Megabass Sleeper Craw Review

This is my initial review of the Megabass Sleeper Craw. The Sleeper Craw is related to the Dark Sleeper, and the Sleeper Gill. The Craw has a hook point that is hidden by a slit in the back of the craw and it comes pre rigged with a hook.The length of the bait is 3" and the weight is 5/8 oz. The cost is $9.99 USD. Recently I made a trip with only the Sleeper Craw in my kayak so I could get some time with it and the results were impressive. Give me your opinion of the bait and let me know if you have used it or ar planning to give it a shot.

Good review buddy. I like megabass products but they can be a little spendy at times.

Thank you! Yeah they are pricey, I usually only get a couple MB lures a month for that reason. if I ever hit the lottery though, haha

Great video! Nice detail about how, where, and when to use the lure. I have never used a craw or a jig...soooo much to learn and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

@@yakkittymack thanks, I m glad you enjoyed it. If you’ve never tried a jig and trailer I’d probably recommend that over the sleeper craw just for the price difference and increased weedlessness. Although for learning to skip the sleeper craw is awesome. Both will get bites around the cover.

How ya skip so good brother?!!!! Whats ya test pound for the sleeper craw setup?

Thanks, it takes hours of practice and a bunch of bad casts. But to skip more easily you need a bulky plastic with a little weight to it, set your spool fairly loose, and keep a low trajectory like skipping a stone and don’t worry about overrunning the spool when you let the cast go. It’s going to happen a lot at first but will get better the more you skip. My line on that setup is 40 lb PowerPro to 20 lb yozuri topknot tied together with the FG knot.
