Damn, that was a horrible time. At least in So Cal at the time it was just choosing which wife beater you wanted to wear with your Dickies and maybe you might go red instead of bleach blond with the hair this month.....lol
He writes good riffs, good lyrics, good melodies. Thinks drum-wise. It's not even fair to be so good at something. Sometimes I wonder how there's people who don't like Megadeth.
@Botardo87 I aint worshiping him, i just think hes a great composer. And i totally understand what is like to become a believer after a life of struggle. Hes done enough only being human, we can give the man a break
Just imagine what Metallica could have become if Cliff never died on that bus and Dave was never kicked out? Believe me, I'm glad that Dave created Megadeth, but I just can't imagine what they could have created with Dave and Cliff's genius over the years.

It's simply that the pendulum has swung back in the direction of substance over style. You've got to remember that MTV had a big hand in popularizing nu metal and now that MTV is completely irrelevant, people don't look to them for what's "cool".
Even Rock Stars mature and change their image. But Dave still hanging in there, and going strong with his Head Bangers Ball look. ROCK ON DAVE. Keep carrying the torch for us rockers.
Got to see Megadeth 4 times and met Dave twice. Dave’s a truly down to Earth kinda guy! The first time I met him I had just gotten out of serving in the Army! I was a bellman and the Daytona beach Hilton and he pulled up with a bunch of people! He autographed a Hilton pad and gave me an autograph pick! I went in to show this hot chick at the front desk who had a pen in her hand and she scribbled right over it lol!
It's definitely Marty, although he does look a bit different. But his picking hand is a dead give-away. He holds his hand and picks in a very odd, specific way.

Saw the woodstock performance for holy wars and somebody said "Marty was playing like shit" even though I think it was the first song of the show. He's amazing here. It shows that no matter what it is, we'll have THOSE moments.
