he takes turns with marty. that and he sings the notes hes playing. that being said, trying to play some songs give me a literal headache because i cant sing and play and trying to force myself to try feels like im going to have a stroke :/
It's either Friedman/Menza or Poland/Samuelson and I personally think both of them are iconic Megadeth. No other line ups come close. There is a reason fans debate which of those two are better and not even mention other line ups. Chris and Gar helped Megadeth define their sound and put them on the map. Marty and Nick helped Megadeth reach new heights and their true potential.
This surely had to be the first show of the tour, you would have thought that a song like this would be a song they had every set list right from the start
Signature Thrash riffage Super fast gallops of single notes, and sick powerchord combinations That moment when you just hang gasping for breath, while actually being on the top of the world, gotta be one of the best moments in life
Well folks, this is as good as it's ever going to get. You cannot write a better song and give a better performance. You can only hope to be as good ..... And 99% of you are not even close. That's just the way it is. LONG LIVE MEGADETH !!
@@jery3385 Not sure what happened there, the vocals part might have been edited in after I wrote the comment. I'd never dream of saying Dave's rat voice is better than James' , that'd be a DMT trip indeed lol. I meant in guitar playing James isn't as good as Dave.
I've said this before and I'll say it again; this is a certifiable master work. From beginning to end, everything about this song speaks to a level of achievement that most bands never reach. Every aspect of this song is spot-on.
I was totally shocked to hear that Nick Menza passed away. Rust in Peace is my third favorite Megadeth record. The live tour that followed the albums release was fucking blistering. Looks like Dave Mustaine is clean at this time. In 1991 his demons took over again and he went back down hill fast.
It's surprisingly comfortable. Make a loose fist and bang it on the table, then roll it forward a bit so your ring and pinky fingers kinda squish into to the table. And that's it!
@@teamatfort444 Yep, it's useless for string muting. He partly gets around that with left hand technique - he uses his fingertips to mute the strings below the ones he's playing - and every so often when he's in between phrases he'll flip his right hand around to mute, but he's acknowledged that he does still get ringing strings sometimes.
I remember Adam Curry ( maybe Ricky Rachman) retiring this song as headbanger's ball champion because it was champion for a long time and was never gonna be beaten. Awesome tune.
