This is DEFINITELY an advanced song. I know, I've learned it. Lol. These guys did a pretty good job aside from the drums. That double tap on the snare needs to go. It's out of place. Other than that, it's sounding pretty good for a bunch of kids! They put a lot of work into that. The lead guitarist needs to step it up, too. There was a missed solo between the two parts of the song where it breaks down, but damn, he made up for it later. Lol. Not trying to be nit-picky, because I do know the difficulty of this song, but damn, they're close to having it down. There's just a few little nuances to fix and they got it. That kid can rip Dave's solo at the end better than I can and I've been thrashing for over 30 years. From an audio professional point of view, I'm really impressed by these kids.
This drummer wrecks this song. Way too fast and sloppy. The kit sounds like shit. The Hello Kitty drum kit that Portnoy played in that loudwire vid sounded better.
At first I was going to be a smart ass about how the guitar player/singer is dressed with same white button up shirt like mustaine, same wristbands and mimics mustaines mannerisms, but I won't. Actually did a pretty good job, even the vocals and takes guts for young kid to get up there and sing, and playing at same, so overall was actually pretty good. Keep it going. Keep real music alive.
Drummer needs practising, vocalist did a fuckin' DAMN good job. Holy crap, I don't get how you can play the verse riff AND sing that high at the same time. Creds, man. *clap*
Great cover, but i think you should make the band members more ealisly distinguishable instead of them all having the same haircut. At first i thought you cloned yourself.
Johannes Dahl He said they shouldn't have the same haircut, hence the word "instead". I think you should re-read the comment you replied to a little more carefully...
The frontman did an amazing job, great vocals, great rhythm guitar, great lead guitar. I salute you man, very few people could pull off what you did. Same goes out to the bassist, holy wars without a pick? You're a monster man
+Games'n' “n” Guitar Let's just say it's everyone's job to match everyone, m'kay? It's the whole band's job... But here the drummer's just clearly speeding and it is astonishing he doesn't do anything about it.
the emu Lots of bands play fast live, dude. That's how it is when you've got energy pumping and blood flowing. When you go into the studio and the engineer turns on the metronome for you, you follow the metronome. It doesn't follow you. Part of being in a band is knowing who the metronome is: The Drummer. The Bass player is the next guy you look to when the drummer gets lost (if that ever happens. If it happens often, find a new drummer). But number 1, it's the drummer. If he's playing fast, you better keep up. I don't know if we were watching the same video, but he kept a solid time throughout the whole song. Yeah, fast as hell, but it was between 180 and 200bpm the whole time. The band kept up, too. That's how it should be. If you're telling the drummer to slow down to match the guitars/bass, then you clearly have no idea how to play your own instrument. And just so I'm not coming across as Biased, in my band "Malevolents", I'm the singer/lead guitarist. Not the drummer. But I still follow the drummer because it's his job to keep time and my job to follow what he and the Bassist are doing.
+Jared Smith It's fucking thrash metal dude. It's better when they show enthusiasm for the music, instead of standing there like statues, like in so many of these cover videos
you guys whom are arguing about emo hair and stuff on a cover video, please shut up. comment about music please. and this band is sick! keep rocking guys, nice tone and nice vocals but you passed my fav part of the song.. the acoustic solo!
I've watched this cover about 5 times now.. and everytime you all start the punishment due part of this song i get goose bumps that stay for the rest of the song keep it up doooooods.
boys i'm a 37 yr old Australian and have been listening to Megadeth since i was ten u boys rock thats one of the best covers i have heard for your ages. keep it up boys big things are gonna come your way! from Andrew
Still remember watching the world premiere of this song on MTV. And I love that 30+ years later, songs like this still set the fuckin' bar for new players.
Godd job guys! Don't pay attention to the bad feedback. Everybody wants to imitate their favorite artist. It's your passion, keep on playing. Megadeth rules!
Damn! Great job guys! I've been a Megadeth fan for decades and this is one of the best covers of a really challenging song I've heard. Keep up the good work and ignore any RU-vid haters!
I thought you guys did a great job. Not perfect, no....but who cares? You're having fun, right? Lots of negative comments on the drummer. Oh well...just keep going for it, man. I guess when you post something for public viewing, you're always gonna have critics and naysayers. I'm just happy that young people still love QUALITY metal music! I'd rather pay $5.00 and watch YOU GUYS play in a club all night, than pay the asking price for a Slipknot or FFDP ticket and sit through that garbage!! \m/
It was eh, and i hate really hate how the singer was trying to be dave mustaine. He literally dressed exactley the same and has the same guitat, the only difference is this guy has stupid hair, and dave mustaine skngs way better.
Look, dude. I didn't come out with a statement like "they suck" or "this is terrible", nor did I at any point claim that I would do it better. But if you're gonna cover a song, do it right.
Being able to play this on guitar and sing it at the same time is no easy feat, not to mention sounding good doing both. You have a bright future dude. Keep it up, keep it metal👍🤘
