@@juliannnnnnnnnnnnn in this concert, no. he went sharp on many notes, for example here 1:44 (on the "no one cares about me") . but in this era of megadeth? yes, absolutely. I love Dave's vocals, and even today they still rip ass
I was at that gig...Megadeth, Black Sabbath and Irons (Fear of the dark)... Me (18) and my brother (16) reached Reggio from Napoli. Now I'm 37, I'm a hospital doctor but I still listen to that fxxxing metal. Long live R'N'Roll!
You crack me up, so I can stand on mountains You crack me up, to walk on stormy seas I am strong, when I am on your shoulders You crack me up: To more than I can be.
+CrispTugBoat I've heard that several times before. didn't he wrote it for cliff who then recently passed away? some people say the song was about his girlfriend but the lyrics were for cliff
I've always loved how Megadeth always had the bass loud in there mix just like Iron Maiden the bass is a very important instrument in my opinion and not just for filler
Agreed, but I can see why he left. When you are a technically proficient and creative guitar player, the genre can be super limitint to what you can express. You should hear Martys solo albums, he still writes some really good stuff. Not megadeth though :/
I wish i was born and old enough at that time to witness something so epic, one of the world's best bands at the height of their greatness...this is EPIC
John Walhan picked or fingered it doesn't even make sense that people say that pick sucks and only bad bassist play with pick, plus many pick bassist are better than fingered eg Jason Newsted, Dave Ellefson and many more
In my hour of need Ha, no, you're not there And though I reached out for you Wouldn't lend a hand Through the darkest hour Your grace did not shine on me Feels so cold, very cold No one cares for me Did you ever think I get lonely? Did you ever think that I needed love? Did you ever think, stop thinking You're the only one that I'm thinking of? You'll never know how hard I tried To find my space and satisfy you, too Things will be better (better) when I'm dead and gone Don't try to understand Knowing you, I'm probably wrong But oh, how I lived my life for you Till you'd turn away Now as I die for you My flesh still crawls as I breathe your name All there years, thought I was wrong Now I know it was you Raise your head, raise your face, your eyes Tell me who you think you are? I walk, I walk alone to the promised land There's a better place for me But it's far, far away Everlasting life for me In a perfect world But I got to die first Please God send me on my way Time has a way of taking time Loneliness is not only felt by fools Alone, I call to ease the pain Yearning to be held by you Alone, so alone, I'm lost Consumed by the pain The pain, the pain, the pain Won't you hold me again? You just laughed, ha ha, you bitch! My whole life is work built on the past The time has come when all things shall pass This good thing passed away RIP Cliff !
PANIC BE NEXT BEST THRASH METAL BAND!!!!! megadeth finished... maybe dave n randy rhoads be guitar players ? I THINK WHY SAVED PANIC SAVE BEST 4 LAST!! LOL
@@academicsanonymous2770 as far as live vocals go I think this is pretty good for him. Especially when compared to present day-ve. That guy has completely lost his ability to sing. But anyway if you can give me the title of a video of him singing better live I’d give it a listen
I'm very sorry to have heard about Nick Menzas passing. I have been away for a while obviously. Damn excellent metal drummer indeed. He was one of the best in my opinion. Nick lived to play the drums. God Bless Him. God Bless Him Indeed.
Today I have notified nick menza´s death, I really sad for this news, I did´nt Know this, good baterist, the best line in the history of megadeth. Rest in Peace, my friend Nick Menza, peace for you in the heaven :(....... Good Bye.
This is the best version I can’t hear some of the nuances in the original recording but this has depth Also what dave does with his songwriting is pure magic
My dad loved this song and would always tell me stories about Metallica and how dave was kicked out of Metallica to make his own band and told me his favorite songs . Been 3 years now since he passed . Love you Dad.
@@garagedays2988 thank you so much for your kind words also ! My guess was close , I got about three years on your dad (about 5 now) ... unfortunately I got multiple sclerosis 20 years back and that sure slows you down but I got no right to complain so many people got it worse ! Stay strong I'm sure your dad would be proud of you !

Jeff Young is Megadeth's most underrated lead guitarist. His solo on this song is epic and no one else can nail it but the man himself. I've seen failed attempts by Friedman, Broderick and Drover.
It’s a crime to listen to this on crappy cell phone speakers where you can’t feel the drums or distinguish the bass. Dave and Nick are on an absolute terror here!
