Even if other scientists say that Varanus Pricus was an apex predator, it is important to point out that a predatory reptile would have to face constant competition from other predators that lived alongside it such as Thylacines, Quikana, Wonambi, Dynatoaetus, Saltwater crocodiles, and of course Thylacoleo. Amazing work and research hope we could find more fossils of Varanus Priscus so we could complete the fossil puzzle.

Komodo tested out to 600 lbs bite force, it knew it wasn’t biting prey, so a big specimen might be closer to a croc, and don’t tell me they’re skulls aren’t almost identical 🙄
They’re bite is not weak. Probably at least as strong as a pit bull or equivalently sized animal. I was bitten by a 7 foot python. It clamped down like a vice! I think your measurements might be off.
