Francis Ford Coppola’s highly anticipated return to the director’s chair, "Megalopolis," stars Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Aubrey Plaza, and more, but sadly, it falls short of expectations. While the film excels with beautiful production design, impressive lighting, and standout cinematography, it’s weighed down by horrible dialogue, uncomfortable writing choices, and visual effects that feel disastrous. Coppola’s attempt to pay homage to the Roman Empire through a futuristic lens just doesn’t land. Is "Megalopolis" a visionary misfire or a visual feast worth seeing?
