I was expecting the end to be all like: "Surprise, bitches! It was Sigma all along!" But honestly, it's a nice change. I really like how this game kinda fleshed out the Mega Man X universe a bit more, with all the different characters and what not making the MMX world feel more real. And Zero. He was perfectly portrayed in this game and I love it.
Kinda late but I agree. This was my first X series game as a kid and I was disappointed by the other ones. Even the original series. They're all the same shit, fight 8 guys for some made up reason, explain whatever just happened, go after some other bad guys, then MWAHAHA IT WAS THE SAME GUY FROM THE LAST GAME ALL ALONG! They're fun but disgustingly monotonous
I'd actually beg to differ about Zero's portrayal. While he's not flowers and sunshine he's not a dick either, and he's a dick in this game. At least around when X introduces him to everyone and completely disregards X's judgement because a hunter assigned to them (not befriended by X) betrayed them. Yeah great reason to inconvenience the mission like that. But he gets better afterwards and redeems himself, so he's not bad. maybe it's just that one section of the game where he was or of character. It just made no sense story or gameplay-wise.
I never realized it when I played this years ago, but it bugs me now how majority of the character just....stand still when they're shouting emotional dialogue. LOL
Yeah, and how the only thing X did to fight the rebels at the beginning was shoot the rope thing. Pretty stupid but I guess not much is supposed to happen then anyways XD
yeah. voice acting was a major improving over X7 (although i think it wasnt all that hard) but they still flawed when it came to animate the cutscenes. not sure if it was due to PS2 limitations or they just didnt had enough budget/time or they just rushed shit

Megaman X Command Mission was my childhood. Years have passed, and now I am a youth that struggling for speaking English well... I am currently looking back at this game...

***** I grew up with Mega Man Zero, so I'm naturally biased towards Zero. Plus he gets much more character development. However, I do believe that X should've gotten much more focus and character development in _his own series_, and as such I have a big soft spot for him. I like X as well; I don't dislike either of them. But what does any of this have to do with my one-off joke comment...? :/
SamuraiSarcasm I kinda Personally Believe that The X series was more of X's Story about Zero. Zero got more spot light in X Series Because Zero was the Hero, and X got a lot of the credit for taking down tyrants, even though most of it was a team effort. X wouldn't have been able to do most of the things he did without Zero. So to me It kind of reflects How X is telling their story, or Zeros rather, because it continues on into the Zero Series. The X series was only the prologue to the Zero Series and told through X's point of view. But that's just my opinion on it. and it really doesn't but it makes for interesting conversation :P

Eeehh not really, this game nerfed the hunters badly, Jango and Jentra ecplised X and Zero in a 1 vs 1. This either means any minor boss in this game is stronger than Sigma or X and Zero are bugged.
Why are people saying the VA was bad in this game? I think they did a good job with the VA. Especially compared to any other MMX Game X7 and before. X8 and this are the 2 best voice acted games in the whole series!! Anyway, nice to have the scenes on RU-vid. Watching them one by one on my Wii is just a pain. :-P Although, Hopefully I can find a version with the scenes AND boss battles. It could go one of 2 ways, either they call up HQ or they end up somewhere else while trying to make their way back and a new story begins there (aka a sequel)

Funny thing is, if you put attention on the final cutscene, Ferham explodes with the S.F.M., making possible the Rebellion Army goal of explode the 'warhead' at the atmosphere. So, yeah, the Rebellion Army won at the end.
You... could be right, holy crap! Though I guess the aforementioned warhead would be more like an EMP which is enhanced by SFM, than a direct SFM explosion.
This really brings back memories, I remember enjoying the game’s story, soundtrack, and diverse characters. I like game’s that does its own thing (taking bold risks).
I never got to play Command Mission but the final cutscene and credits song is making me choke/tear up bad. Bravo, thank you for uploading! And big love to everyone in the X community!

the ending.. I wonder why X gave a big fck about Ferham sacrificing herself to blow up that Supra-Force Metal. It's not as if they were emotionally involved. Maybe he stood for saving all lives as much as possible?
X wants as few casualties as possible. He frequently shows compassion toward his enemies, and it's not strange at all that he'd react that way to a former enemy achieving redemption through death.
To this day, Ferham to me sounded like Phillip or his sister from rugrats when she yelled out the word in caps in the quote below: "I thought you said you wanted to FIGHT" Its a stretch, but maybe they are played by the same voice actor.

I wish this game had a boss fight mode where you refight ALL of the bosses again (their levels and power scaled to your current level of course). I mean you do get to refight some but about half and I think itd be almost poetic to refight Shadow or Botos with supraforce metal in your arsenal this time lol.
You know I always found kinda weird that after their chapter Marino and Cinnamon don't get anything more to say. I mean no more dialogue, no line at all, little to no screen time in cutscenes. Obviousely X, Zero and Axl have plenty, even Spider and Massimo have some. But Marino and Cinnamon? After chapter 4, it seems the game just totally forgot about them. I wonder why, even back then when I did the game I noticed that.
Right!? The scene where they meet is so gay. How Marino says she’s gonna steal her away and Cinnamon shows her chest *ahem* I mean the “Force Metal Generator” to her. They are just too adorable together 🥰
Just finished playing it. This is a very funny game, altough it feels a bit unpolished in different aspects (Map design, writting and battle mechanics). Its a bit sad that Capcom didn't include a single Megaman spin-off in any of their Legacy Collections.

Bruh they should of made a hard mode for this game where u fight multiple bosses at the same time. Ex: Scarface and epsilon would have been so hard but so dope to fight against them as if they were a duo for the final battles
There’s codes out there online that say you can play as Megaman instead of X and Protoman instead of Zero….but, alas, they’re fake codes. :-( Those codes also say you can unlock hard mode... also fake.
Game interesting in respect of a plot, but I won't understand between what parts of Rockman these events take place? There are characters from games and a manga! Even Colonel with Signas is mentioned!O_O

In the personal opinion, in Megaman X series, X Zero and Axl not dead " 46:35 " its all principal characters is alive. For me all this is canon in Megaman X series and as Kazuhiro Tsuchiya said, each series is the main one in itself. +phantom115cw It's highly debated. It _is_ a 'copy' ability, not a 'make shit up on the fly' ability. A key issue is if/when Redips replaced the original (if there ever was one) Spider: 'Spider' does mention messing up and Aile getting hurt for it, ergo Aile's hover-wheelchair. But on the other hand, Aile's brief scene doesn't give time to go into his backstory, and Commander R seems to be unaware of any such bountyhunting past either-- but Spider DID recognize Aile's ID _on sight._ So, a good thing to know would be if Redips had intel that was THAT detailed to mention Aile's injury, and that Redips studied it enough to recognise Aile's ID gem. If _not_, then that was the real Spider that's in the second chapter.
Agreed Spider/Redips had to have encountered Aile before. The question is, at what point was he able to become spider? Possibilities (1) Spider was Ailes comrade. Aile and Spider fought Redips personally. Aile got damaged and Spider may or may not have been separated in the process. Spider was destroyed by Redips. Redips then took on the identity of Spider. Aile may or may not know about Spider being dead and replaced by his killer. But once Spider/Redips saw the ID he knew no one would be able to refute any details he gives (2) Redips is the real Spider. Instead of being the exact same copy ability as Axl, Redips is able to change his form between two looks. He was telling the truth and feels guilty about his friends condition. This is why he's maverick. He's traumatized from his friends accident. That guilt then resulted in Redips seeking power - so no one else would have to suffer the same fate. Once Aile died he lost sight of that goal and just wanted power. (3) same as 2 but he starts off just as Spider. Then once he starts going maverick replaces Redips.
This game was very Broken and the Rpg Mechanics late game are very Exploitable. Despite all that I Still believe this was supposed to be Megaman X9 or it follows after X8.
Yo… I’m upset I played this game as a kid that didn’t read or understand what I was supposed to do I played it when it was brand new for GameCube It’s been 19 years! I’m just now finding out my favorite character was actually the bad guy the whole time and I’m upset about it
but then he came back in project cross zone. but i'm talking about hard mode. i mean i guess the character who got trapped by vile killed him but they don't really mention it.
But, zero says something about letting go of the past, implying that it has been awhile since X4. And that X keeps saying to zero that if he were to become a maverick, that zero would have to deal with him and zero basically says that they have gone over it a thousand times. And that Tron is still trying to get Volnutt off the moon. Also in project cross zone 2, Sigma is coming back in his X4 appearance. And do you really think they cared about the appearances of characters?
+Nether let's plays Well, Word of God says Sigma is dead for good in X8, since there was nobody for the virus to infect _on the fucking moon._ So, dissipated, finally--- or later with the Elf War bullshit. So, Vile had to be rebuilt by Doppler in X3--- most media, canon and otherwise, they have a reploid's 'soul' (so to speak) be a control chip: you can rebuild a body and put the chip in, and it's that guy. But without it, you can make a new body, but it'll just be a attempted duplicate, like CopyX or Omega in the ZX series. In X2, the X-Hunters, you either get back Zero's body back, and Cain just jams in the control chip, and Zero comes back, or they have to steal the control chip, since the blackbody duplicate is just basically a drone: the real Zero one-shots it.
