This is exactly what MegaMan X needed. This guy didn't just remaster the franchise, he added to it. This is no cheesy fanboy remake, this is the perfect combo of new content masterfully adapted to the beloved 90's-era Capcom. Straight Masterpiece. You bet your X-Buster my money going straight to this masterfully crafted beauty.
Unlike the capcom games this allows you to pick difficulty levels! Looks like with the boss health bar he was playing it on a harder one. This game is total fan fare lol
And the stage looks really challenging, i can see myself dying a lot of times on it, even with the Falcon Armor, but memorizing and perfecting the movement in the end. But god damn, the boss, Sparkling Scorpion is hard, is awesome and is sooooo fucking smooth, it has Kim Kaphwan Pant's level of animation!

This is the one game in more ways than just a Megaman game. It transcends the art of all video games. If only just for the amount of dedication and love put into its creation! I thank all that is good that Megaman X: Corrupt is alive.

...can we say that Scorpio is likely the most tragic Maverick boss out of the 8? Poor guy appeared to be a decent dude but the surge in the power plant drove him mad. Even X's dialogue doesn't hint at him doing any shady business and the "you have to let me out of here" implies that he was put there by someone else against his will.
Well, its a bad idea, Capcom would take control over this game making it mediocre, also they are going to monetizate his work, and thats ok, but Capcom will get most of the money and this dude isnt going to get what he deserves, so yeah, lets hope that Capcom dont get in this
Will never understand why companies sue or send warnings to cease fans of their work. all they want to do is continue the legacy of an awesome franchise. They should be scouting for stuff like this, hire the developing team behind this awesome work, further develop the game and make money.
Because of copyrights. If a company allows such projects, it will legally erode their copyright. Some other company could make and sell a product with their characters and easily win the copyrights, because the original company allowed other people to make products with the licensed characters. Courts will see that other infringements were allowed and determine that the original creators didn't take action and will rule that the characters are either the property of the new company claiming ownership or put them in the public domain. And the original company losses their characters. It's annoying that a company can't choose to let a fan project happen, because it will make them lose their rights to their original ideas.
@@crossjosue8596 it would be. But capcom, and most other companies, don't want to bother putting money into older IPs. Even though they are great games, they don't sell millions and millions of copies, anymore. As Jim sterling said, " companies are not happy with making some money, they want to make all the money. " most big companies are not interested in a project unless it make sells millions of copies, now. Which is mostly their fault, for shitty ports and wasting a lot of money on advertising and executive salaries. Capcom can make more money from just licensing a character in other games, tee shirts, bags, or just porting the old games to other platforms, etc... than making new games. As megaman is a established brand. But not enough people buy the games to warrant new development.
gerty tk You’re half right, I was underselling it in X5, it was a really good Giga, I just preferred the Gaea Armor’s close range blast more. In X6, It did minimal damage to everything that wasnt a basic Mook or Nightmare Virus. In X5, it did 8 damage per hit. In X6, it did 1 damage per hit.
@JPhantom a man of taste, I see. I remember MKF turning into an egofest, code changes being made without proper tracking... Since this us a mostly solo project, I dont think it'll go the same route as MKF. My biggest fear is Capcom suing him or a cease and desist action.
@@Paulomedi Capcom doesn't shoot down fangames like Nintendo or Square Enix, as long as he doesn't try to make money off of it. Capcom actually endorsed a fangame called Street Fighter x Mega Man. Therefore, the only concern is whether this game will be released within our lifetime, hence the ongoing joke that the release date for this game will be in 20XX.

Hasta no poder jugarlo, no estés tan seguro, mas de una década y ni una demo siquiera. Pero todos parecen tener las expectativas muy altas así que espero que el juego este a la altura de lo que muestra. No se que pasara si los fans se sienten decepcionados después de tantos años de espera.

El juego esta avanzando a un paso cada vez mas rápido, y a estas alturas dudo que abandonen el proyecto, yo estimo como mínimo, que dure otro año y medio. Y aunque de alguna forma este no llegue a ser el mejor juego de MMX (que lo dudo), sera increíblemente bueno

Esse é um fangame. Porém, os sprites, a história e as artes são originais, assim como trilha sonora, que tá impecável. A jogabilidade parece ser excelente e a programação muito bem produzida e testada.
Cara, esse jogo tá ficando lindo demais! Eu não vejo a hora de o projeto ficar concluído. Pra quem jogou Megaman durante a infância ou ainda joga, isso é sonho virando realidade! :)

You do know that the stock charge is nowhere close to being bad right? In fact, it's objective better than the plasma shot in X4 since you can deal damage faster without needing to wait for another charge, so much in fact, that speedrunners use only it when 100% the game
From someone who hasn't played X5 or X6, I like that the Falcon armor has limited dash flight and a giga attack that can dodge attacks in exchange for a lower charge capacity. It fits in with the real-life falcon, who hunts using their speed to attack prey before they can react, much like the armor in Corrupted seems to mimic.
@@_DuongucAn That is kinda true, but it's not really that much necessary, charged Rising Fire gets the job done on mini bosses at the same speed if not faster (which is also what speedrunners do).

@@sergiomendoza5165 pues la verdad que sea la peor,peor es ya gusto de uno pero la habilidad de volar en el x5 rompia con varios niveles al punto de hacerlos ridiculamente faciles(y eso que en el x5 mientras volabas eras invencible,aqui no) Pero desde mi punto de vista la gaea es la peor de todas,no te sirve para casi nada vale que tengas mucha resistencia,seas inmune a los pinchos o tener un buster potente,pero el ser lenta,tener un buster de corto alcance y no poder usar las armas de mavericks le restan demasiados puntos,hasta la shadow era mejor.
I know many people have said this before, but I love how X and Zero interact with the Mavericks. They actually try to talk it out with them first instead of just shooting away.
The thing that took my attention to this game was Sparking Scorpio. Just the idea of a scorpion maverick is AWESOME. And the mix that with eletric powers? Jesus Christ, this game is outstanding.
This Falcon Armor is gonna be used on boss fight like this one where a wall might NOT be an option but you need vertical movement or hold. Such a genius fan game.
You've come a long way. I can't even imagine the effort that went into making this game, the time, and whether or not a game of this ambitious caliber will ever see a release for fans to relish in it. All I can say, is that I hope one day we can experience it. Good hecking job. Godspeed.
I just want to let you know , I've been a megaman X fan since my earliest childhood memories and this looks like the most amazing thing ive ever seen in my entire life . Everything is on point , the graphics , the sprites , the colors , the music , the feel , the gameplay , the enemies , every single detail of this is exactly the reason megaman X is so incredibly awesome and I will wait as long as it takes and one day I hope i can play this for 16 hours a day everyday until the rest of my life.
Man... I remember participating of the lives when this was still in construction. Giving suggestions, exchanging ideas, having an all around good time. Seeing this stage come to life is just pure joy. I shall wait however many more years you need just to experience this sense of accomplishment again. Keep it up, my dude.
MAN, I LOVE THIS STAGE'S ENERGY! So much reasonable stuff to dogde, great length, nice gimmick where you have tunnels to hide from the electricity, but they also limit your vision. The ropes' layout throughout the level and at the boss battle... GOD, THIS GAME! Great job as always, JKB! Looking forward to the next update! :D
Sweet jesus, I been watching this since before I moved out on my own in 2012, and that's just at LEAST since then. Finish this game already, like, a literal big chunk of my life has passed in waiting for this.

Excellent work! Great level design I love the panels that you can go behind and I like how the flow goes down so you have an easier time getting familiar with them at first and then you are tested going up though them. The boss is amazing too looks very fun and challenging.
I know this game is taking you a long time to make perfect, JKB, but seriously, Capcom needs to hire you to get this game on all platforms, because I would KILL to be able to play this on Switch. Since it seems you're adding in all past armors, does that mean we could also possibly get the Shadow Armor from X6 and Gold Armor from X3?

This looks better than even the best Mega Man X game. The levels use their gimmicks more than once or twice. Edit:Hell,it looks better than every Mega Man X game combined.
If Capcom only had half a brain they would hire him pay him for all the work he's already put into it and provide him with all the resources he needs to finish it along with complete creative control over the project

i choose to believe that if mmx devs were also given 9 years to develop a game then it'd look this good. but definitely, this game is looking absolutely fucking incredible
of course. I also think this game would go faster if it received funds. Also, the current game only has like 6 years in development. Most of the early game (which had different sprites, and many scenarios were ripped from other megaman games) was mostly trashed.

This game shows what mmx game could truly be like without restrictions that come with a big studio like capcom… it’s absolutely stunning and completely amazes me that somebody cares enough about Megaman X enough to create something of this caliber. So many intricate overlapping ideas it’s purely genius if you ask me. Thank you for all your hard work! Really hope I get to play this game one day
The music, the artwork for the game itself, and the the implementation of everything is all being done at such a high level. It really makes you wonder what video games could be if greed and profit wasn’t as much of a factor
I think that animation is supposed to signify that he's gone fully mad. Before the dialogue box appears he still has some of his sanity intact, so it makes more sense to have it afterwards, imo.
Hey I'm curious about the artwork. I really love the aesthetic of the stages, like the pipes hanging down from the ceiling and the glow a lot of the electronic elements have; when it comes to designing the art do you just draw from other Megaman X games or are there more outside influences?
(Sorry if I'm answering even if the question was not targeted towards me) but as a game developer myself I usually take inspiration from various sources for scenarios and designs etc. I think it's probably the best thing to do If you don't want your works to look too stale and generic. Although I'm quite curious to know what the spriters who work on this game are inspired by
the sound effects, the music, the sprite work, and it even has slow down from too much onscreen action. This is one of the most BEAUTIFUL Mega Man X related projects that I have ever seen!
Every time I see a new video from this project, I am in awe of what everyone working on it has accomplished. With a _fan game,_ no less! Absolutely amazing.
Why do I feel like Sparking Scorpio's Final Four effect involves him wrecking the power plant itself, limiting the power that gets out and causing the stages to have the dark effect due to having to rely on either the now limited power output or having to make use of auxiliary generators that barely make enough power for such areas, with lighting being something that's made limited to focus power to what needs it most instead
So, Scorpio's stage is like Volt Kraken (switches to open doors that you have to enter before they close...especially on you!). Also, I see that the "poles" from Infinity Mjinion are in this stage too.
@@floatingf8783 no. In the very first moments of x1(when you first open the game) the screen shows "Cain 2105, 2107, 2109, and 2114 at the top right. So, we can infer that X was uncovered in 2113, and Dr. Cain created the lab entry about a year afterwards, as it would take a lot of time to understand a machine as complex as X. This, 113 is most likely a reference to that.
