The theme of Storm Owl's stage from Megaman X4. Picture and Music were downloaded from The Megaman Network (URL: blue-bomber.jvmwriter.org). Character and Music are copyrights of Capcom.
What makes this song so excellent is the sense of urgency about it. It carries the feeling like this is a final mission. The team is either going to win and save everything or lose and then everything will fail and die. This song also has the air of attacking something really vast and large and intimidating. This music doesnt have the feel of a sneaking mission. Rather it has a feeling of storming the base to it. Very epic.
I suppose some Megaman X bosses ARE related to one another. A boss named Squid Adler from Megaman X5 mentioned a certain boss from either Megaman X or Megaman X2 (the octopus) to be his master. It IS possible that Storm Eagle and Storm Owl are probably siblings or related.
Storm Owl was such a cool design. He gives me your quiet, nice math teacher that was in Nam & actually saw heavy combat, but doesn’t make it a point to talk about it vibes.
His salute at the beginning of the fight really showed this guy means bussiness when he's forced to fight, but that he also respects you as an opponent
The other day I was driving through a powerful storm on an interstate highway at 75+ mph through the night. Playing this song in my car totally intensified the whole experience. And trust me when I say, it was intense! lol
When me and my friend and his dad went Storm Chasing this past Summer I would convince my friend to play this theme song along with Storm Eagle's stage theme song at least once or twice while we chased and everytime my friend would play the theme songs. It sure fit in to what we were doing chasing intense storms even spotting a few tornadoes! This is one of my favorite MegaMan X theme songs.
The first half of this stage has to be one of the most exciting parts in all of X4. You're storming (heh) in while an entire _armada_ of airships cruises by, riding a mech, destroying turrets, narrowly dodging lasers from UFO looking ships, it's a thrilling experience and as usual, the music perfectly encapsulates that. I just wish this could've gone on for a little longer
I always LOVED the RepliForce airforce songs...Sorm Owl and Spiral Pegasus in X5, they just sound so cool and...well make you wanna get up in the air and fly in a jet or something
I think you missed the point of the game lol. The "independence, patriotism, and pride," was a sham, orchestrated by the manipulative Sigma. He exploited the blind obedience of the Reploid army. If this is what patriotism looks like, those type of patriots would destroy their own countries lol.
Love the energy to this. Owls are fierce birds of prey, sometimes I feel they dont get that sort of representation and end up a bit chubby like this guy. He looks great anyway with a fitting theme.
Strom eagle and storm owl seem like they would be the two most badass defenders of the sky. personally I see why they chose a owl instead of a hawk. owls are some of the most deadliest birds in the sky. Sharp tilons, razor sharp beak, and not only that owls eat there prey whole and alive sometimes then barf up their bones. for eagles all I gotta say is murca
I didn't like skivers design but overdrive ostrich was in the same using as storm eagle but lost his ability to fly in a battle. If he could still fly he would be my favorite air maverick hands down
Storm Owl - "Here to help, Zero?" Zero - "I am helping: to keep you and the Repliforce from making a terrible mistake." Storm Owl - "We didn't want any of this to happen, Zero. But, the Sky Lagoon Incident forced our hand. The incident changed the world and we, the Repliforce, must change with it." Zero - "Not like this." Storm Owl - "Of all the Maverick Hunters, I thought you would understand! Seems like I was wrong!"
MAVERICK DATA Subject: Storm Owl Title: Staff Chief of the Skies Pre-Maverick Status: Reploid Air Force Commander X4 Bio: Before Owl joined the Repliforce, he was a Reploid who was prominent enough to be friends with Maverick Hunters such as fellow aerial Reploid Storm Eagle. When Sigma launched his first rebellion against mankind for Reploid supremacy, Eagle was among Sigma's followers. X ultimately had to kill the rogue Maverick Hunter Eagle in battle to put a damper in Sigma's rebellion, resulting in Storm Owl resenting X. Sometimes afterward, Owl joined the Repliforce. A proud soldier, Owl was extremely resentful when he and his associates were branded as Mavericks by the Maverick Hunters for refusing to disarm after a Maverick catastrophe they were in proximity to for investigation. When Repliforce launched a rebellion in response, Owl played his part by setting a course for the combat zone and launching Repliforce's Air Force to attack a city. The purpose of this was to distract the Hunters and give the rest of Repliforce sufficient time to build their Final Weapon colony to launch into space. After the Hunters confronted him on his airship after he used it to attack a city, Owl refused their requests to stop his part in the coup and surrender. Owl engaged them in battle, forcing them to destroy him, his pride going before his fall.
0:48 This transition has always been my favorite part, especially when you sync it right when you defeat a mid-stage obstacle and the music transitions smoothly to the next movement!
I like to think that Storm Owl and Storm Eagle are brothers. Why i hear you ask, because both of their stage music is one of the best tracks in their respective games.
Went to sleep and even on my dreams I was able to constantly hear this music (on my thoughts) till I woke up on the next day still hearing it on my thoughts... Damn, this music really is good.
