Zero's story cutscene 6. After Sigma's defeat, Zero is seen talking to a scientist and decides to get something fixed in him and then goes into a sleep.
His sleep was actually interrupted. In order to create the Mother Elf, Zero's mind had to be separated from his body. The body got stolen and turned into Omega by Dr. Weil, so Zero's mind was implanted into a new body and awoken prematurely to fight alongside X in the Elf Wars to defeat Omega. This is why the chamber Zero wakes up in in Megaman Zero 1 is different than the chamber we see him sealed away into in his ending here
Original timeline X: (Real X): I dont care about killing reploids anymore so I became a dictator Zero: OH GODAMMIT! Now i will have to take him down just like he told in X4 Altered Timeline Copy X: I am the perfect copy of X I am far superior to the original. Zero: Too weak!
Mystery scientist: don't worry X, he is sleeping peacefully! *Meanwhile* weil: waiting for the right moment to take Zero's body to operate on destroying the world. but before that I have to take care of Sigma and his successors!
Scientist: "Hey, Zero, why do you look so uneasy?" Zero: "That old guy over there is giving me some creepy stare and it's making me uncomfortable." Scientist: "Dr. Weil, stop being rude!"
As far as I'm concerned, X7 is not canon, there isn't really anything in the X games succeeding X6 that is relevant to the Zero or ZX series, they can be skipped entirely.
IzanagiXZ im pretty you can argue anything past 5 is noncanonical as Inafune intended X 5 to wrap the series up. x 6 was made without him knowing , then they tried to keep the story 'stable' ... but then X7&X8 happened. inafune intended to end the series on Zeros death in X5 from what i hear
Opalescent I don’t think it could work. At the end of X5, Zero basically dies, and in X6 it establishes that the Eurasia Colony’s explosion polluted the world (fragments landed on the Earth), which would lead to nature growing in Area Zero in Zero 4. Plus, Zero’s Ending specifically ties into the Zero series. X6 is still considered canon.
I'm happy this game exist, it's actually a better lead into MMZ than X5 was. In X5 he dies and that's it, no one picks him up to put him into a capsule or anything he's just gone, in this ending it's the perfect bridge into MMZ1 beginning and it makes actual sense.
@@rmaaniii No, MMZ was going to have a different plot, with X going rogue after the bad ending of X5. But instead we got X6 and that's why Copy X exists, I'm glad since X going rogue is just a bad concept simply due to the fact that he can't be stopped if he loses it, Light confirmed it
@@r2332wThe plot was suppoded to be something like X reaching a point of "evolution" where he realized that humans are destined to chaos, so the best way to erradicate human conflict was to control humans and Zero had to fight him. Something among those lines
I sadly have to disagree. Because A) Even if you did consider this a better bridge to set up the Zero series, that's not how Ciel finds him. Yeah, she finds him in an abandoned lab, but not in a capsule, he just looks like he got caught on some wires (I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but consistency really does matter in a story), and B) I personally would take X5's ending with him getting destroyed, because that would mean someone would have had more than enough time to put him back together by the time he gets woken up by Ciel and her resistance, and that would also explain why he has the sleaker redesign. Sorry if that was a bit long to read, I just don't want to give X6 any amount of praise, aside from maybe the soundtrack, but that's just an exception. I really just hate this game THAT much.
(Continued) This event was known as the Elf wars. Realizing that he can not handle the situation alone, X woke up Zero. Zero and X finally defeated Weil, Omega, and the Dark Elf, but the earth was no longer habitable. X later founded Neo Arcadia, the last habitable place on Earth, Zero returned to stasis, and X, realizing that he is becoming heartless, sacrificed himself to contain the Dark Elf. Later, Ciel created Copy X, Copy X turned out to be insane and cruel, and MMZ begins.
My lord, why is it so hard for people to unerstand this. It's been officially stated that this ending DOES happen, albeit sometime in the future. They didn't give an exact moment of when Zero goes to sleep. Thus X7-however many they create, can fit before this ending actually occurs, but it does NOT happen directly after X6.
in ending of MMZ4 , ciel sure about the next new world . And MMZX begins with one player (chose Vent or Aile),Praire (ciel's sister),Guardians,and Six Biometals
@@cheeszy4696 wrong X7 and X8 are direct sequels to X6. This ending is actually non-canon and while it does try and connect zero to the zero series. It actually causes a few problems. The command mission timeline is solely based on the earth solving the energy crisis and humans and reploids start restoring the earth and solve the pollution issue that would cause the Legends storyline. But the convoluted head cannon was actually why Maverick hunter X was a thing. They where going to reboot the series and try and correct all this. But, unfortunately due to poor software sales, Maverick Hunter X2 was cancelled.
@@yujirohamna2430 It's already official that Zero's X6 ending occurs in the future after the events of the games from X6 up. And Legends' being in a world of water was never said to be from pollution. MHX was never said to erase the post-X6 games.
@@cheeszy4696 Only Command Mission is non canon There's probably 3 timelines, one where it goes up until X6 on this ending, then Zero/ZX then Legends, the other one going until X8, and the other one which is basically just the battle network series
ive been told that in a japanese interview with inafune or someone at capcom that this ending was just thrown in to make mega man zero's opening make sense, and that it was never written to have to necessarily happen right after the events of mega man x6. rather this is just what happens to zero at the end of the x series, whenever that is. they just didnt specify when specifically it happened so they could make as many games as they want and not create any plotholes
@DocKing236 Actually from what i understand this is supposed to be the 1st of 2 times Zero got sealed. After this if i recall correctly he was awaken to help fight the 1st attack of Dr Weil and Omega. After they got defeated and sent to exile in space, Zero asked to get sealed a 2nd time. It's between that last event and prior to the beginning of MMZ1 that a copy of Zero's body was created and his original memory was transferred to that body, while the original remained asleep.
@BeholdMyStrength As for X5 being the true ending to the X series, Inafune INTENDED to end the X series with X5's Maverick Zero ending, thus leading up to the events of the Zero series except with the actual X as the enemy, instead of a copy. HOWEVER, Capcom pushed out X6, and Inafune was forced to change those plans. So while he may have intended it to be that way, it's not. Also, the reason for the design change in the Zero series is simple. Different artist wanted them to look more human.
@Vortex4229 Original X also failed the world because he and Zero left Omega and Weil banished,they didn't destroy them.Also his sacrifice for absorbing Dark Elf was what totally failed the world,because that was the reason for: a)Ciel to make Copy X,the ultimate Maverick and an exact copy of X. b)Elpizo for going mad and after the D.E. c)Weil for coming back,rule Neo Arcadia and trying to destroy both mankind and Reploids. X basically left the world expecting the best,and happened the worst.
I like to believe X6 is the ending of the X series because of this ending. It is such a perfect ending for the X series and also connects perfectly to the zero series!
Years later, this poses an interesting thought. Perhaps the only time that Zero was ever the carrier of the virus was when he battled Sigma in the X4 flashback. Once Sigma broke the seal (smashed Zero's helmet crystal) it officially became the Sigma Virus, and it is Sigma that was passively infecting everybody around him. This feels like it lines up a lot better with the flowchart (that Zero turned good in some way because of the virus) and how events play out in X5 with Zero being outright resistant to it, if not benefitting from it on some level. Zero's also prone to random memory flashes as his opening in X4 and his bad ending death in X5 show, so it's probable that at one point he might've had a flash of memory that left him with the realization that at some point in his past, he had the virus. Trimming the fat from the Zero Collection's take, we know that this research actually results in a definitive cure for the Sigma Virus. Alternate take, ignoring the Zero series entirely, would be to assume it was something to do with the Nightmare virus. Zero's fine for right now, but like anybody who was dead and then resurrected by supernatural means (X6's plot _is_ basically about a mad scientist and his army of zombies) eventually ends up decaying, if not dying again.
nope. Zero body had the virus all the time. Everywhere he went, he passively spread the virus, that is why he sealed himself away, to remove the virus from his body but since it was impossible, they changed his body
@@UchihaFabio If Zero was a carrier of the virus from day one, then why wasn't he a hero right from the moment he was awakened? Because according to the (dubiously canon) relationship flowchart I mentioned, the virus is what makes Zero into a hero.
@@FusionArmorX yep. The virus made him a hero. He was pure evil when Sigma opened his pod and by breaking zero head it destroyed the evil from him and the virus stabilised him, but his body became the carrier
@@UchihaFabio That sounds like it should be backwards. With Zero being a carrier for the virus until Sigma breaks the crystal (or, the seal) and unleashes the evil into the world anew. Thus, the virus is released from Zero. Zero is the source of the virus, in the sense that he is the epicenter rather than active carrier for it. X5 establishes it's own virus, suggesting that it was made specifically for Zero, and makes a note of how Zero is resistant to it. We don't actually know for sure what Zero was voluntarily sealing himself away for in X6, because the only possible answers for that lie in the Zero series. The problem with relying on the Zero series however is that what it considers part of it's timeline has to be reasserted every single time a new piece of supplemental lore comes out because often times Inti Creates will quietly retcon something else that they established prior. For example: Remember when Copy X was one of the 6 fragments of X's soul that everybody assumed was the real X because it went into a replica body?

Zero seals himself in X6 cutscene to remove the virus from his body, but since it was impossible, they removed his counsciousness and were going to replace him on Omega (zero original body before it was stolen by weil) Since it got stolen, ciel ancestor created a exact replica of omega body and installed zero inside it. After the elf wars, he seals himself again, this time he wished it to be forever. Then zero series happen. But to reiterate Zero was the carrier and transmitter of the virus. It was the opposite for him
Legends wouldn't make sense to go after x8, it would make sense after ZX since one npc states "Biometals could potentially change medicine completely, since they can withstand powerful hits" So it could've played that Biometals were permanently installed onto humans and they became carbons and later on they were fully mechanical Either that or Legends isn't canon
This is the real ending of Megaman X Series and X7 and X8 does exist. At the ending of X7, Zero dreams of X about to kill him. At the ending of X8, Zero wonders if he no longer needs to fight anymore. 102 years after this evet occurs, X series turn into Z series and Zero is upgraded and X is dead. then at Megaman Z1, Zero fights copy of X, which was the dream at X7, and at the end of X8 was the last battle of original Zero.
The game is X6 but THIS cutscene happens AFTER Mega Man X8 (Command Mission is non-canon, a parallel universe), then more than 100 years passed and Mega Man Zero 1 happens.
X6 came out in 2001 and Zero 1 followed in 2002 so I'm pretty sure they intended for X6 to be the final X game. X7 and 8 were pretty bad games the didn't add much to the overall plot. But they added two endings in X6 so that they could create the Zero series and still continue the X series (which they did a poor job of). Hopefully they make and X9 and actually make it good.
@yo8978798797987 The series splits into two different versions here at X6. In X's ending, he and Zero continue to work to rebuild the earth and X7, X.... are made. In this ending, it is obvious that Zero's series continues after the sleep. You can't fit both endings to have happened. The series should have ended at X5 like Inafune intended it to. It's ending was most fitting.
@Zettamiles The Mother Elf quickly put an end to the Maverick Wars. Also, I should be noted that the Sigma Virus is a derivative of the Zero Virus soooo yeah
@ChaosLord211919 Actually, the X6 game is not considered a official game. They did this just to fit the Zero series but the X saga goes only up to x5 officially. This caused a quite some trouble between designers and directors.
reason why zero was in the other 2 x games they pretty much had to go back and pretty much redo everything with the story line and push this event further back into the future to get it somewhat in line with the megaman x timeline since really x 7 and x8 werent really an idea form the creater of the megaman series he was hopeing to finish X at 5 and start the megaman zero games but capcom had other ideas and started making other games with really without the guy knownin
@DocKing236 initially that was their plan. Actually they wanted to have this happen after megaman x5 but capcom wanted to release x6 and change the villain megaman zero. I guess same thing went for megaman x7 only not changing the megaman zero series. I'm guessing the original villain was suppose to be the mind of Dr. Willy, so your answer is yes
@digimaniacrikendo Yeah this scene happened soon after Megaman X8 and the dream that Zero had in Megaman X7's ending was a scene in the future 102 years later after the scene after this video.

in X7 and X8 the directors changed >_> the story officially suppose to end at X5 but they forced inafune to make 1 more game which was X6 after that the story officially ended with Zero sleeping and the last of Isac the reminisce of wily then continues on with Wiel (wile, wily) reborn in Zero 3-4 story in zero game tells what happens with X while zero was away
megaman 5 was orginal game to finish the X series capcom maded 6 pretty much out of the blue and this ending was to wrap up the X games and open the door to the megaman zero series since it foreshadows zero sealing himself away to sleep and wakes up as megaman zero

this is the crossroad that divide the X series from the Zero one creating Megaman X 7 they created a parallel universe that divide himself from the Zero series if some of you notice in the Zero series and ZX Axl was never mentioned at first i tougth that the model A in Advent was for model Axl but in the end it was not thus making my teory Axl is not in the Zero and ZX series because he is in a parallel universe of the series

Having all the Megaman series seperated by 100 years (Classic>X>Zero>ZX) is a convenient way to make half assed stories with many plot holes. Cheers Capcom.
From what I gathered, this was supposed to be the real end for the X series that will set off the MMZ series. i.e. zero being put in to stasis while X fights on. At least that is applicable until X7 ruined the X series....

@ChaosLord211919 actually, not really.. because bear in mind that the zero in the zero series is *SPOILER WARNING* a copy, not the original. The original (This zero) is omega zero. my guess, is that his sleep was interrupted (the reason why hes in X7 and X8), the elf wars happened, there were complications, then there was omega zero. idk. But i do know that the zero we know in the zero series is merely a copy.
NikkeiZX its been 7 years but the memory chip of zero was tranfered on a copy body and the original body was left to be contaminated because of the virus that has been sealed inside of his original body.
Alternate ending could be a clue of an upcoming game or just different sides.... Possibley "Megaman Zero" series started after this. Or Zero didnt actually sleep for very long time, maybe it was successful and it didn't take very long..that's how Megaman X7 was released....even though it's abit complicated we need to dig deeper in this stuff and once we have...we will finally get our awnser. Need to wait for megaman zero 5 to come AND Megaman x 9

Nintendo should buy the "Capcom" Franchise and give it to keiji inafune (MegaMan Creator) or Keiji Infune should buy the MegaMan Franchise. @@galten7361 If Zero's ending happened after X8, then it'll be pretty hard to explain some very big plot-holes, One being that what happened to Axl? Zero Series Director: Keiji Inafune, Wasn't ever aware of Axl's existence during the time he worked on the series. It wouldn't surprise me if Capcom decided to make a retcon by splitting the x series and zero series into their own continuities, with them saying that X6 zero's ending leads to the Zero part, Without X7 and X8 events happening in this scenario.
@@DragonFists1337 Originally the final X game was supposed to be X5 and that would lead into the zero games where X became a villian (leading from x5 bad ending basically). Those plans were changed when they made X6 and the Zero series also were changed to make copy X the villian (and the real X still an ally to Zero), so i think its fitting to say this ending (x6) would be the canon of the X series. X7/X8 could be treated as a alternate timeline where elfs werent created and instead the next gen reploids were that are immune to the virus (since that kind of invalidate the entire need of zero to hibernate to create the mother elf to begin with), however that creates another slew of problems as we seen on x8.

Zero's body was taken out of stasis for researching the Maverick Virus. Zero was given a replica for now. The Mother Elf (Dark Elf) was created from Zero's body and successfully ended the Maverick wars. Unfortunately, Dr. Weil, one of the researchers, stole Zero's body and the Mother Elf, cursed the Mother Elf into the Dark Elf, and gave Zero's body a new mind (soul), becoming Omega. Using Omega and the Dark Elf, Weil killed 90% of all reploids and 60% of all humans. (to be continued)
