Agreed. Nice perspective! I think Zero nailed his diagnosis: naivety. Thrust into a role of someone with far more experience and wisdom. He seems like a X had he not gone through all of that internal and moral testing, as well as someone without any real guidance other than "You're a perfect copy of the original X, and you're going to take his place while he is gone." Problem is that a copy may start off similar, but like twins, they aren't the same. Ciel had good intentions in building him, but he had been given the council such as the guardians who did know the original X but whom he already had power over. How could Harpuia and them defy Master X, after all? I like how much more complicated of a villain he is than I originally thought.

@@TayoEXE Thanks chief!! U hit the nail on the head with that "naivety" line. I do think that at some point, elf X shouldve revealed himself to the guardians, spoke with them, and converted them to the resistances side. I think all of them wouldve done well knowing their ACTUAL father. And even copy X himself. Ive dated a twin b4, and i can attest... those mfs are NOT the same lol. They have similar qualities but who they are is much different. As they are molded by their experiences, sumn og X had NO shortage of in his life. I also think that Copy X had resentment for Og X. Being built solely as a replacment for someone that everyone loves more than u probably hurt alot. I imagine him walking through town 1 day when ppl come up to him thanking him for things og X had done, with copy X not having any knowledge of the action and having to just smile and accept the complement, whole time it slolwy builds an inferiority complex. Copy X was the middle school JV player trying to live up to the Mvp Senior varsity players expectations.☠ Id say the series as a whole can be much more deeper than i knew when i was a kid. Here i am 10 years later finding all these themes id never known about as a kid in Megaman games😂 Megaman is definitely deeper than most give it credit for. Which is sumn i love about the series. 💪🏾

Well said my friend! I think inferiority complex hits hard here. There are types of growth that are told in story telling, and one involves a lie that one tells themselves. Copy X couldn't bear the weight of being compared to X, so if he was a copy, he had to accept that but he couldn't accept the lie he told himself that he was a "perfect" copy in every way. Meaning, Copy X == OG X. All of X's achievements, power, and respect he had earned, those were his too, if not more, or at least that is the lie he could never get over. We never got to see his stage of confronting that truth when X appeared before him because he was killed shortly after, but he couldn't handle the truth and fought with it instead of accepting he isn't X or what X was, making his retaliation all the more frightening. And I believe X did not have enough energy to visit the Guardians or must have thought he should divert the rest of the power allowing him to even exist in the real world to helping Zero since the guardians probably wouldn't have been able to convince anyone. (For some reason.) Come to think of it, the humans of Neo Arcadia aren't all that bright. They unanimously voted to make Weil, the human who caused the worst war history, their leader after he just happened to bring Copy X back to life. I think the blame is in the people and Copy X for believing him, period. lol "THINK, COPY X, THINK!"

@@TayoEXE On the "lie he tells himself" i think this is definitely true. Ideas like this make me wish we got a cartoon/anime series. To give us small moments that mean a lot. I do remember X visiting Zero multiple times in Zero 2 and 3, also trying to fight the baby elves on his own. I think getting the guardians on his side wouldve been very well worth the energy, as it could not only change the entirety of Zero 1, but 2 as well. I imagine where elf X goes to the guardains when Elpizo is on his way to Xs chamber, and the guardains escort Zero through neo arcadia on a beeline to go jump elpiz and stop him from killing X. I do think it strange they voted weil in, however i think weil deleted info on himself b4 making his debut. Cuz keep in mind it was over 100 years since mans started the elf wars. Thats at least 2 generations. Copy X himself was probably reprogrammed to always agree with weil and be obedient to him. Like a glorified lap dog. Weil even placed a bomb in his body that detonates when Copy X goes all out. I wouldnt put it past him to make it where Copy X couldnt refuse him.

Copy X really got it rough here. Got revived in an unstable state just to get played, says "screw it, final boss form, I'll show them I still got it!", only to find out that he's been played even harder and then ded.

Thanks! If you see earlier videos, I've done a bit of experimenting for what sounds "buggy" for Copy X MKII. Any suggestions are welcome.

All done in Audacity! I manually made the glitches by repeating the first parts of words quickly, had some pitch shifting, reverb, wah-wah, etc. I believe.

Likely to show how immature Copy X is and proof that he is not a perfect copy of X as he claims to be at all.

Copy X is essentially X but in a very young, naive state. He has a strong sense of justice like X, but u like X, he was born being told he was a hero from the get go. His sense of justice became so simplified (I'm the good guy, they're the bad guys), which is why Zero notes this. He notes that X was one to worry a lot, but that's because he had years of moral training before even being awakened. X understood that solutions were not always black and white but very very complicated and complex. While some people like Sigma judged this as cowardice and indecisiveness, others recognized X was much more mature than he appeared. X constantly worried whether he was even doing the right thing, which drove him to try and find more peaceful solutions, win wins, etc. His strength lay in his wisdom, experiences, slowness to judge and decide on moral issues, while Copy X is his clone and yet opposite. He is TOO decisive, immature, naive, simple, just like a child who was told they were special their whole brief life. His voice and cocky attitude represent an interesting paradigm into the themes of what makes you you throughout the Zero series. As X put it simply, "It's the heart that counts. Not the body." Copy X from a physical perspective was very much a "perfect copy" of the original X maybe, even down to DNA, but he was a separate being, with an overly simplified and egostical mind and goal.

I've totally forgotten how I did this stage when I recorded it. Probably just used cheats to get to this last scene faster. Haha

@@loritaylor1602 They are likely still around somewhere. I believe the guy who did Zero in my other video is working with Definitive Dubs now.

I read the discretions of the last video of your Fan Dub. I think Zero and Weil had the same voice actor.
