MEGAN REACTS (CRIES) - Doctor Who - The Angels Take Manhattan (Live Reaction)

I've always thought that Angel at the end was merciful. It could have sent Amy anywhere it liked, but it sent her back to Rory.

Looks like the angels made us all weep.

It's not the crying that we love. It's watching someone go through the same emotional rollercoaster that we went through the first time we watched it. It's like getting to relive that moment through her. And I guess we're all kind of lucky because it's hard to sit someone down and have them watch Doctor Who and we willing. It's one of those Series where if you haven't already watched it you weren't planning on ever watching it.

Megan: ‘oh it’s the weeping angels!’ Steven Moffat: *’so you have chosen death’*

Great reaction, by somebody who wasn't "spoilered". Even those of us who watched it live knew the outcome, because the BBC continuity announcer actually said: "And now its time for Amy and Rory's tragic final journey in the Tardis, in Doctor Who". Cue 8 million people shouting "WTF!" in unison,

I'm not much of a crier but this episode gets me every time 😭This Tardis team was my favourite and I still really miss them.

That goodbye scene at the cemetery doesn't get easier no matter how many times I see this episode 😭😭😭

The grief from 11 is so real in the goodbye scene. In his sheer pain for losing both his friends, he places his hands on his face to force a blink, hoping that the angel would take him too. But River, despite losing her mother & father, let's the Doctor have his moment & faithfully watches the angel to let her husband feel his feelings.

I think they should've stuck with the original title... The Angels Take Your Emotions

Fun fact: 12 years ago today “Partners in crime” aired 😃

The foreshadowing when Sting is singing "I'm an illegal alien".

In episode 5x01 and 5x13 this is when the Doctor put that memory of this happening in there. When Our Amy (not Our Amelia which is the child version at this point) awoke both nights when she thought she heard the TARDIS to the final scene.....this is when the Doctor did that. You can say what you wish about Moffat, but there is no doubt how much he loved this Program.

Sad times. I still can't believe Moffat did this to us back then :,(

Ahh man I remember my first time watching this episode. So many tears! Moffat is truly a monster.

Told myself i wouldnt cry again. I still did. Such a brilliant episode.

That was probably the most heartbreaking tv character exit since Henry Blake in MASH. I've always found it hard to believe that the Statue of Liberty could walk through New York City without at least one person watching it at all times.

Me going into this: "OH BOY!! *rubs hands* I've been waiting for this for a long long time. Hope Megan likes it despite it being so sad. " Me seeing the intro: "Oh yea... I forgot how much Megan dislikes the angels. Hope they have the orange pillow. She's going to need the pillow. " Me seeing the scene with the Statue of liberty and the detective in the beginning: "Yea! Pillow at hand! Pillow-hugging powers at maximum!" Me remembering how creepy the kid angels are: "Megans gonna need some extra super special comfort!" *Double-pillow to the rescue!* Me @ the ledge-scene: "Megan is going to be so relieved when it works!" *evil cackle* "And I'm all protected because this is the 494th time I've seen people react to this episode! I have armour! Poor Megan. " Me @ the waking up in the graveyard scene: "Why are my occular balls leaking? " Me @ "Goodbye raggedy man!": "The armour failed me!! SOOOBBB!!! I feel you Megan! Give me orange pillow!!" Me @ "This is the story of Amelia Pond. And this is how it ends!!" "CANCEL ORDER OF ORANGE PILLOW, EYE FLUID FILLING THE ROOM! ALREADY UP TO MY KNEES! I FORSEE NO RESCUE GETTING HERE IN TIME! IT'S BEEN A PLEASURE AND AN HONOUR LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE!" Now you're definitely ready, Megan. 😂 During the rooftop scene you looked at the camera (directly at me) so often I was thinking, do I smell or something 😂

God the soundtrack is amazing this episode. And it’s so sad.

Before I watch this, I want to apologize to Megan for us all being so eager to watch her be sad.

This was the episode that Moffat made all the fans weep and then get upset at him. I loved Amy and Rory.

When ever i see this episode, it makes me cry. This time twice because of Megan's reaction.

I don't care what other people say-this was a really brilliant episode. Highlights of the Moffat era.

Amy was like a little sister to the doctor, he was, alone after her death for a long time...

This episodes probably has one of the best plot twists, but at the same time it felt like bad writing to me. It's almost like a typical "Hah! It was just a dream!", but in a worse way. "Now they're gone, but day is saved. Oh, look, they're back after all! Enjoy! Nah, sorry, they're still gone, haha! But we'll completely ignore that Angel running rampant!"

I guess there's a lot to live up to then for the next companion. I can't wait for that fandom landmine to be stomped on.

Poor Megan. I cried when I first saw it too. And I still cry even though I know what's coming when I rewatch it. It's a really good episode.

Did you tell Megan about how the Tardis and the doctors costume change in series 7B because of the Doctor loosing Amy and Rory.

I HATED THIS END SO MUCH but the chrirstmas special is next and it's rather interesting

P.S When?

While this was a good exit, for the most part, it really highlights the fact that the Doctor doesn't really care about Rory that much. He just sort of accepted that he and Amy were a package deal. Something which is reinforced several times throughout the rest of the series. The writers were always doing Rory dirty and he deserved so much better.
