I like how Megatron is just talking to Thundercracker and then Starscream comes in immediately just yelling “What is your excuse Megatron?!” For like no reason.
Megatron: have any idea who should make the sacrifice Starscream: It should be a trusted officer to make it convincing Megatron: Pricisly which is why I choose you Starscream: And you call me stupid
@@n1c704 The big difference I think is that Joker loves having someone ignorantly follow his commands out of misplaced trust and is extremely good at gaslighting Harley into thinking that they're good together. Harley doesn't know she's in a toxic relationship and when she finally comes to her senses she gets out and looks elsewhere for romantic fulfillment. Megatron and Starscream both know damn well they aren't good for each other and make each other miserable every day but they've been trying fruitlessly to make it work for so long that they just don't know how else to live. They hate each other, they don't pretend not to, but they wouldn't know what to do with themselves if they actually bit the bullet and broke it off. It's codependence at its absolute worst.
You've never seen Armada; that was an attempt to mature the relationship of 2 childhood favorites, one that sadly was never touched upon again. TFA was an attempt to imitate it, poorly, while Prime was a darker re-interpretation.
PheonixKingSokka except in armada, starscream has a different reason (and a very understandable one) for turning against megatron. Megatron basically left him to die and starscream actually heard megatron admit it. The only other time that starscream turned on megatron/galvatron during armada was in order to get galvatron to realize that the threat of unicron was real
Wow... G1 is similar to now but different too G1 Starscream •Quest for power •annoying •Dramatic •wants to lead the deceptions •calls Megatron, “Megatron” Tfp Starscream: •Calls Megatron, “my liege, Lord Megatron, Master” •Dramatic •a lot more kind and timid around Megatron, not so much far away •Cybertronian punching bag G1 Megatron •a LOT more tolerant of Starscream Tfp Megatron •KILL OPTIMUS PRIME •KILL STARSCREAM ... That’s basically it XD
Megatron: "Tell me why should I have a second in command, who's every impulse is to thwarted me, undercut me, OVERTHROWN ME!!!" Staracream: "That's not true! I always serve your needs, even in your final moment. 5:01
Good to see Skeletor as your thumbnail. What’s better than MOTU meets Transformers? Bet you’re additionally a ThunderCats fan (as there’s additionally nothing better than a ThunderCats / Transformers medley) [in that my favourite He-Man character is Teela, and, likewise, my favourite ThunderCats character is Cheetara, and I like associating these two females with the Transformers movie]. Heck, Alan Oppenheimer is the only member of the MOTU voice cast to voice recurring Transformers characters - Beachcomber sounds identical to Man-at-Arms, and, most of all, Seaspray sounds identical to Mer-Man, with that distinct ‘gargle’; Warpath - a third member of the Mini Autobots, who make their debuts in season 2, pre-movie, sounds identical to Mer-Man, minus the gargle. Unfortunately, though, none of the ThunderCats voice cast voiced Transformers characters.
Soundwave: Lord Megatron. Why is Starscream your second in command? Surely you would want someone actually loyal to be your right hand? Maybe someone like me? Or Shockwave? Maybe Airachnid? Literally anyone else?! Megatron: And what happens when this better lieutenant would seek to usurp me? Who would be punished when I need to make an example? Who better than the ambitious coward? Soundwave: You gave him the highest position in the ranks of the Decepticons, second only to you, because he's an incompetent punching bag. Shockwave: (Not looking up from his terminal) Sounds logical to me.
@@openingshift7070 add onto the fact that starscream constant treachery keeps Megatron on his toe-err edge of his servos? Idk what ever their version of a toe is he keeps Megatron on the them and so always makes sure he is ready for things
In the war for Cybertron and fall of Cybertron games starscream is actually quite dangerous, he alone with no help destroys a shit ton of decepticons patrolling Shockwave's base with stealth and pure fire power his invisibility power up also scarily suits his personality. And before defecting to decepticons' side he was neutral and also the air commander meaning jetfire followed his orders before starscream joined the decepticons.
Megatron: *Trips* Starscream: "HOW THE MIGHTY MEGATRON HAS FALLEN! DECEPTICONS, LISTEN TO YOUR NEW LEADER! I, STARSCREAM, IS MORE QUALIFIED SINCE I AM IN PERFECT CONDITION WHICH MAKES ME THE NEW LEAFER OF THE DECEPTICONS HAHAHA!!" Soundwave: 🤦 Megatron: *Shots Starscream* Starscream: "MEGATRON HAVE MERCY, I DIDN'T MEAN ANYTHING, I'M GLAD YOU ARE OUR LEADER!"
Lol Megatron was surprisingly pretty merciful to Starscream. I wouldn't have been. lol Galvatron had the right plan for his treachery. Quick, & to the point.
I know right? He's been giving Starscream a lot of break, time outs, and exile. But after being tossed aside like trash and after his rebirth, enough is enough.
Megatron: "I do not believe in luck" *takes off with bomb on his back* Starscream: "Neither do I." Maybe the best Megatron/Starscream moment of all time
"The Autobots would have lost Eons ago if I'd been calling the shots!" This one line describes the entire character of Starscream that will be heard for the rest of the series!
I grew up watching the G1 Animated Series and I love it; even today. But I gotta say, the best out of ALL transformers gotta be Transformers Prime. It's spectacular!
To a lot of fans (including me) it actually would be IDW comic version, extremely dark stories but still manage to keep humours around, great character for every transformers no matter hoe minor they are, and constantly appearances of characters from other TF series that adopted into G1 universe.
Needs some more like (Transformers Prime) Megatron in Starscream's head watching him dance around in front of the Vehicons after the space bridge explosion. Or even the short (Transformers Animated) where Megatron is addressing his Decepticons while Starscream is mocking Megatron from behind.
It's kind of a bummer how eager and ambitious Starscream is to become leader, but any time he has acquired the title (no matter how long/short a time) he has no respect from the other Deceptacons and they would rather listen to literally anyone else, and yet Starscream still thinks he'd be a better leader than Megatron. -__-
He's usually a terrible leader too making awful tactical decisions and ending up with heavy casualties to the Decepticons, Fall of Cybertron did it best where not only did he get no respect but the Combaticons, who never forget were his own creations, even turned against him
I like how at the end of the video, when megatron is taking starscream into the ship, you can hear genuine fear in starscreams voice, and you know megatron is about to torture him
Air Superiority, something the autobots don't really have until Jetfire joins them. That and having a weaker second in command can make you look even stronger in comparison, we all know that Soundwave is the real second in command anyway
TheBiddofslayer58 "First" being the operative word. The second and third movies completely undermined all the buildup the first movie did of him. Even in _Dark of the Moon_, when they started giving him some actual moments of villainy and menace again, they ruined that within five minutes by having Shia LaBeof kill him. Not even with the backup of a bunch of commandos or God forbid Bumblebee - just Shia LaBeof and a hook shot. What a middle finger to the audience.
GodzillaGuy92 well if you had an explosive bomb then why not stab it into an alien head. its war, unfortunate shit happens in war, he also kinda deserved it for thinking he could pick on humans
TheBiddofslayer58 Not the point. It's Starscream; even disregarding how cool or lame the movies made him, the only one who should be allowed to kill Starscream is Megatron.

OMG you need to it Is amazing! Soundwave in tfp is one of my favourite incarnations ever. No one will ever be able to bring justice to the way the show got rid of him just to be ruined in rid.
1 of the biggest mistakes off Bayformers is the relationship between Starscream and Megatron. In G1 it was so funny but it really added spice to proceedings. Starscream would constantly push Megatron to the edge. Sometimes Megs would lose it and almost destroy him but he always stopped himself. I mean he was badly outnumbered in the early stages of the Earth Saga. Starscream was the best Seeker and he was almost as cunning as Megatron so Megatron always had a voice of argument in his plans which made making contingencies easier as some1 was constantly trying to find holes in your plan as oppossed to Season 3 Cyconlus and Galvatron. Most of Galvatron's schemes were just so pathetic compared to Megatron and the worst part was Cyclonus knew it too but blindly loyally followed Galvatron as I'm guessing the loyalty was built into Cyclonus by Unicron who did it to make it as easy as possible for Galvatron to destroy the Matrix. In the Movie, Galvatron was basically Megatron but I don't think he was that much more powerful. Sure, he oblitereated Starscream in 1 shot but G1's inconsisntency suggests the TFs can moderate the level of power used in a blast i.e. you sometimes see Megatron firing his fusion cannon slightly differently as if he is adjusting power level for the shot. Also Megatron matched Prime. They were even. I don't think I would bet on Galvatron beating Prime in a fight. I would pick Prime. Rodimus basically threw Galvy out the window and if thats the case: Rod > Galvatron and Optimus > Rod so it makes sense Optimus would trump Galvatron. I really don't understand what they were thinking about making Galvatron mad. The Decepticons went from an empire under Megatron, millions of years contested rule in Cybertron to beggars/peasants that lived in Charr and had the worlds dumbest schemes. The most interesting episodes in Season 3 IMO, were the ones with Starscream in it. Anyways Micheal Bay made a good action movie but it was NOT a transformers related product.
I know this comment is 7 years old but it's so true. They even talked about how the deceptions fell under galvatron in the first few episodes of season 3. I think they said some thing like it was never like this under Megatron. But ya galvatron was very weak and not smart in season 3 but in the movie he was like Megatron and smart. Season 3 just wasn't as good as the first 2 in my opinion it just never had the same magic. Half the time there were space aliens in the show which didn't really make sense since it's transformers but still great.
@@FakeJake5843 Yea the problem wasn't the stories. Well yes, to a certain extent. The problem was they took the heart and soul out of the show i.e. Prime, Ironhide, Starscream & Megatron. Those characters were the most compelling characters and to take them out just ruined the show. I didn't mind Rodimus doubting himself but having such a weak villain made for non stake clashes. And a lot of the fights didn't make sense. You would see Decepticons struggling 1 week and launching a full on attack the next. I mean, where did they get the energon? They setup the Decepticons basically almost out of action due to no energy but the episodes made absolutely no sense. In season 1-2, you knew they were getting energon everywhere. Practically most episodes were about them. So their condition, cybertron's condition made sense. There was an episode where Shockwave even says we are almost out of energon. You got an idea of where the general story was regardless of the episode even if it was a character spot. Anyway, G1 was awesome in it's simplicity and that great cast of characters. Season 3 is weak but still better than a lot of the other shows that came after it. What do you think of the Netflix show?
@@Deuwl Thanks for responding I ever thought you would. But ya season 3 was bad compared to the first 2 but still decent. They just went far too out on exploring other ideas besides sticking with the basics. One of my biggest complaints was there was a lot to do with aliens like the time they tried to treat galvatron and it just went to heavy on things in outer space. One character that really stood out to me was grimlock they completely changed his character in season 3, he went from being a powerhouse to being a source for comedy which wasn't bad all the time in fact some of his lines was funny at least to me but they kinda ruined the dinobots in season 3 by changing their character too much. When the autobots were losing they would act like they needed reinforcements all the time when all they had to do is send in the dinobots. Anyway the Netflix show is good in my opinion just the voice acting is the problem.
G1 Starscream is the best hands down! He actually challenged Megatron many times and we were entertained by their banter. The other incarnations of Starscream are too pathetic and cowardly.
Armada starscream and Cybertron starscream would disagree since neither of them were cowards and, in the case of cybertron, were smart enough to know to wait until the right moment to strike. Hell, both versions WILLINGLY attacked cybertronian gods
@@jakealter5504 Starscream G1 was always in Megatron's face trying to take over. The new Megs and Starscreams do not come close to the mutualistic relationship that G1 Megatron and Starscream shared. The writing was superb
Fully agree, G1 Starscream always said straight to Megatron that he would become the leader after he could beat Megatron, that's the reason Megatron made him his second in command, he was resourceful and willing to do anything to get victory, also a pretty damn good strategist. G1 Starscream was the best version of a wonderful Bot. Also his voice actor: Chris Latta, did an amazing job bringing the character to life.
Um...Megs manipulates the energy of Black Holes by using himself as a vector and he plans by running millions of simulations of possible outcomes to attain his desired objectives. If he thinks you could kill him, he would have killed you by now. Whereas the precious butterfly boy here wants acceptance and popularity, and what he really needs is REAL FRIENDS, which he will never have by being a ruler. If anything, he can't decide whether he's Akira, Super Saiyan or Cybertron's very own Britney Spears.
Anyone who likes these two needs to track down the semi-recent "Spotlight: Megatron" comic aka "Starscream Gets the Beating of His Life for About Ten Pages".
if ita role reversal of autobots and decepticons prime would be abusing bumblebee and megatron would be weird to have the fatherly good leader behavior of prime
It’s because Starscream knows he’d be good at being the Decepticons’ new leader, but, at the same time, there’s the moral to this, which is it’s OK to merely imagine things, but there are some things you can’t expect to be realities (in that Starscream really wanted to be the Decepticons’ new leader, hence always had to expect angering Megatron).
Starscream..i will always remember the day that my mom bought me the G1 starscream toy as a kid in the 80’s, he instantly became a very special character for me, i fell in love with him from that moment and it never changed. I also love Omega Supreme, they are both my favorite transformers, way above anyone else!
The reason G1 Starscream is the best is the simple fact he doesn't call megatron: Master! I mean that really demeans the 2nd in command dont you guys think? In G1, Starscream would openly challenge Megatron, taunt him, but he had his limits and basically I think Megatron hacked it coz he didn't think [correctly] Starscream would actually win in a fight and had the power to overthrow him even with sabotage. Like Starscream once thought he had done it, and shot him in the back and while he was gloating over the 'body', Megatron regained function and made screamer look like a fool. I also think Megatron secretly admired Starscream for his aspirations. I mean in the comics he thinks as much thinking wouldnt he do the same if roles were reveresed. In Bayformers and other TF shows like Animated. Animated is good but come on Screamer basically is a whiny and cowardly bitch compared to G1. I think the main reason Starscream survived so many attempts was in the end, Megatron knows he does need starscream who was a brilliant commander of the jets. But I think even Megatron had his limits and getting left for dead in space with a gloating starscream saying 'wanna bet?' sealed his fate. I think even if he didnt go thru the change, in all likelyhood Megs would have destroyed Starscream as the Movie didnt seem to hold off killings as in the show, in the movie, shots hit robots, shots did severe damage and shots killed. That never happened in the show and the movie is very different from the show. It made no sense the bots would die. I mean FFS they r robots, though they have 'laser cores' , they are well protected, and the robots have self repairing systems. Megatron got blown up with enuf energy to move a planet out of earth's orbit and that destruction should have killed any1 if it happened in the movie but Megs escaped and was in full health when u next see him. Now compare that simple example to the fact, he gets hit a few times by Prime, then gets a double blow to the chest and falls 2 stories. That brings him almost close to dying? I dont think so. Megatron was designed to be invincible. That is why he survived the blast from 'The Ultimate Doom Part 3', survived Lava, and survied a plane crash into Earth. Basically the movie was a failed attempt by the writers to get rid of the cast every1 loved and replace them with admittedly cool designs but all the new chars were alpha male types that basically made Rodimus look like the most inexperienced person and he was the leader! Basically killing Prime/Megatron/Starscream was the end for transformers. The dumbest thing was when they realized this they tried to bring Prime back but that made the char development for Rodimus Prime such a waste of time as just when he started getting out of the Big O's shadow, Prime shows up, saves the universe, and is back in command. Please dont comment saying Galvatron was Megatron. As far as Im concerned, Galvy ceased being Megatron after his 'plasma' bath. He was literally a new bot. If Unicron 'reformatted' him what does that mean? In the movie, it appears he has Megatron's memories i.e. 'First Prime, then Magnus, now you' comment and later on in the series when Prime says 'I know u only too well Galvatron' suggesting prime knows Galvy is the Megs in a new body. Also what were the writers thinking of with having the immortal Frank Welker doing such a high pitched ridiculous voice for Galvatron. If he kept Megatron's voice it would have been cool or somehow get L.Nimoy to keep up his voice work from the movie it wouldve been cool but IMO, transformers died with the deaths of such loved chars as Ironhide/Ratchet/Brawn and Starscream and Megatron. Sorry about the essay but let me know what u guys think?
I know that you said please don't comment (when it comes to Galvatron) but you also asked what we think. After Megatron was reformatted he said, "I will rip open Ultra Magnus and every other autobot until the matrix has been destroyed". That means that he knew who Ultra Magnus was because he knew him as Megatron. He only had a new body. His "spark" remained unchanged. That means that he retained who he was and therefore his memories. When he arrives on Cybertron to destroy Starscream, Starscream asks, "Megatron, is that you"? Galvatron/Megatron responds with "here's a hint". That's a big one that shows you that he's still Megatron. He also later says, "I Galvatron will crush you just as Megatron crushed Prime". He's saying it like, I will crush you as Galvatron just like I crushed Prime as Megatron. Later, while inside of Unicron's body he says "first, Prime, then Ultra Magnus, and now you", (showing us that he's remembering and referring to his defeating Prime as Megatron). I know that you mentioned that quote already but you didn't mention the other quotes. Here's another quote, "That's because I know you too well, Galvatron" (you mentioned this one too but I wanted to put the exact quote). Optimus Prime was out of action all of this time. By the time he came back (there were only two episodes of this story) he didn't have enough time to get to know Galvatron if Galvatron was a totally different robot. Therefore the quote would have made no sense. He said what he said because Galvatron was simply Megatron with a new body. You said, "as far as I'm concerned, Galvy ceased being Megatron after his "plasma" bath". I mean this totally respectfully; your opinion doesn't change the facts that Galvatron was still Megatron. Besides, when Optimus Prime said, "That's because I know you too well Galvatron", that was after Galvatron's plasma bath so Galvatron/Megatron was not changed. Oh, there's one more. In the first episode of Five Faces of Darkness, Cyclonus is talking to the decepticons and Astrotrain says "in the days of Megatron it was not like this". Cyclonus responds with, "you mean Galvatron". Astrotrain then replies with "well they were the same guy". One more point. I'm not referring to any comics or alternate universes other people came up with later on. I'm going strictly by the movie and the following animated series. I just now came up with another point (sorry, they just keep coming to me). In the episode, Starscream's Ghost, Galvatron/Megatron says to Starscream, "I shall enjoy destroying you even more this time than the last". That also shows you that he wasn't changed after his plasma bath and that he was still Megatron because the first time that he destroyed Starscream was before his plasma bath on Thrull (again, he was referring to something that he had done previously). So, the whole being changed after the plasma bath theory is incorrect as is saying that he was no longer Megatron. He was still Megatron simply with a new body.
Galvatron knew ultra magnus he knew where cybertron was snd he called starscream out by his name before he killed him he remembers prime dying so yeah he had megatrons memories galvatron told the sweeps why have i not retaken cybertron which means megs conquered cybertron old memories

@@BasedVegeta the main difference is why he turned on megatron. Unlike most incarnations of starscream, armada starscream didn’t betray megatron out of the desire for power but because he truly hated him for all of the abuse he suffered from megatron despite actually being loyal. I’d say that that cybertron starscream is the ideal starscream since he has the personality traits of g1 starscream (except much smarter) while having armada starscream’s fighting abilities. He’s basically g1 starscream but smarter and capable of fighting

Megatron and Starscream are like a pair of Sith Lords, a master and an apprentice. As both Decepticons and Sith believe that might is right, I assume having an apprentice that they know wants to supplant them helps to keep the master strong and smart. If the apprentice DOES supplant the master, at least the ideology is maintained.
Megatron actually believes in Starscream's abilities, though most ppl don't see this. Megatron believes Starscream has the ablity to be his successor, even though he has to beat the immaturity out of him sometimes. Starscream makes for a very stubborn apprentice at times.
@@photonicus I agree. There are a few episodes which shows that when Starscream is scheming on his own, how truly dangerous he can be. Megatron appreciates this about him, but cannot say without looking weak or inflating Starscream's ego.
