Such legendary singer borns once in a century. I am from south part of India where Hindi and Urdu scracerly spoken.but after listening Hasan sab I forget all my senses. I am sity seven years old. I always listen him. How unlucky we are couldn't see him. No doubt he is the best singer in subcontinent. Love from India
My bad luck could not see him in his life time the JAADU he has in voice is remarkable I am a79 year old I keep listening to this gazal umpteen times morning evening it's unexplainable what I feel I cry with it it's so intense no one can sing like Mehdi ji KAMAAL KAMAAL
No mother will ever bear such a singer again. A out of proportion verse never came out of his mouth through his voice. He is the best Ghazal Singer ever heard in this world.

All I said was that we don't need more Mehdi Hassan like singing; there has been on Mehdi Hassan and that mould is broken and try not to be second best Mehdi Hassan. That is all. Be an original, one does not become great by mimicking the original. Mehdi Hassan sand when I was growing up and he was to me a hit and miss singer; many of his songs are great and others duds. I like variety of music and I am not into idolizing artists. The man sang ghazals that were awfully cloying, stupid and dumb therefore he singing did not improve upon the dumb lyrics. I am not sorry for having a keen sense for poetry, and when I hear trite and pusillanimous effeminate and worshipful lines the song fail, no matter who sings them. A cultivated taste in poetry can be problematic with the ghazals singing, the quality of ghazals vary and poor Mehdi ought to have been little more choosy, but then again he was not terribly educated. As a matter of fact, when someone becomes clueless, helpless, and defenseless, one behaves in this manner ! I very much pity your abysmally low level of intelligence, although you pretend to be so smart! What to do ! Frogs, living in in a well, always think the well as sea ! You might be one of it's kind ! As such, you can stoop so low ! It smacks of the total hollowness of your persona and extremely narrow vision !
