As a drummer I’ve heard this song for about thousands times over. I cannot comprehend how hard this is to play. So advanced drumming and timing and yet a good song to listen to. I cannot believe how perfect Garstkas slow drumming is also. To play that fast and also mastering the slow part with pauses is insanely good. Is nice to read other peoples comments about which their favorites parts is in this song. It’s fun to rewind and listen carefully for those fills. My favourite part is at 3.32. agreed. i dont think there is anything they wouldnt be able to replicate almost perfectly and in a lot of cases better than the people who originally wrote the tune. Animals is our generations YES or Rush we should be proud of that.

This track is a little more organic than the others on the album, but still so punchy. Unbelievably good sounding kit!

over how many sessions did it take you to do all the takes for your playthrus? how many hours to get the perfect takes? I see you made a compromise at 3:03, just wondering what your time commitment to these sessions was bc they're amazing and live you're playing the songs so well

3:03 wasn't a compromise, it was intentional. In the original song itself, that specific phrase, the audio in the span of that one 16th note, was just cut, copied, and pasted 4 times across that beat. It's meant to give it an unnatural, artificial feeling.

Matt does this live every gig, wouldn't be surprised if this was just one or two takes.

3:02 no edits btw Edit: I missed and assumed the disclaimer in the beginning would be the same as usual. I just wanted to be funny, for once in my life.

You can't fault anyone for not reading the disclaimer completely with that much tie-dye on the screen. 😁
