I have to say, I think it's so cool to watch you play in a musical setting as opposed to playing in an educational setting; to see how you apply all your techniques that you teach. The dynamics and flow of this are awesome.

Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I loved this first time I listened to it. The floor tom thing along the special effects felt like ASMR to my ears, very very pleasing and relaxing.

Well, he is playing a lot of thin and medium-thin weighted cymbals that are really dark and dry. If he mixed them too loud, he risks them distorting.

It is kind of hard to explain what I am trying to say, but the cymbals, imo, are perfect in the mix. He even said at the end of the video, the reason that he chose those cymbals was because they compliment the mix rather than overpower it. If the cymbals were louder than they are, they would most likely sound too loud and ruin the ambiance of the song.
