Mel - All Powers & Spells Scenes (Charmed Reboot S03) 

i still love the original Charmed. Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige

I actually agree with some people in these comments, her powers seem more like Temperature Manipulation (Cryokinesis/Thermokinesis), than Molecular Manipulation. If it wasn't for the added ice/heat CGI projecting out of her hands, it would look more realistic.

For a power called “molecular manipulation” it seems to only let her affect temperature. Obviously, her powers should have limits, but I’d expect manipulating molecules would allow a greater range of feats.

When I started season 3, I was so confused by their powers. Things feel like they move a thousand times faster in the reboot while not explaining some things and overexplaining things that don't need it. Mel being a professor after missing is so sudden without explaining. Meanwhile, characters repeat something someone else just said or explain something we obviously see as if their target audience are elementary age.

I actually enjoy the series despite (or maybe more so because of?) my being a big fan of the original, but I wish that one of the things they've corrected in the reboot was giving them completely different powers in the middle of the series and forgetting about their older ones. :/ Considering also they even expanded upon their original powers just in the reboot's first season alone. Ugh

They should have never gave her that fire and ice effects and they should have kept it like season 2 where it looks like she bend the air molecules but I guess that the time spend from season two her powers have grown and evolved because she can do more stuff then fire and ice and that was shown in season two where when Harry tried to stab her

Her getting her time freezing powers back in the end of season 3 reminds me of the original when piper got her ability to blow things up at the end of season 3 I guess the new charmed one in the reboot won’t be the strongest one I guess just like piper Mel will now be the oldest Maggie the second and the new charmed one will be the youngest making Mel just like piper the strongest of the 3 sisters

I havent seen the new charm, still torn about it undoing the legacy of the first-- but i am glad they brought back the 'freeze time' power ^^

Using the logic, Mel is going to be hella powerful as the big sister She heats and freeze things, but their powers are growing, so at some point, she is going to heat things instatly(kinda explosions like Piper) and freeze things instatly Not to mention her time powers, she can stop it or speed it, and time travels by herself

This is the show they're calling charmed I've just seen them use 4 different powers from 4 different series they're shooting lightning like sith lords what is this and did I just see Mel heal somebody when could Piper do that

Idk why yall are hating on the show i loved it ik ppl want it to be to kids or grandkids of the of charmed ones but in imo i thinks thats stupid. THIS IS MY IMO but i liked that the storylines/ main plot of each season was different then the original bc im sorry but people should know almost every season there was a main bad person and at the end they get him you could also say it about this but in the og 90% of each episode was them vanquishing someone new dont lie im not wrong with this it wasnt. With this reboot it was more about managing the magical world when they knew nothing ab it, mental stuff and ofc the bad guy and for me voth shows didnt know a lot ab magic in the beginning but in the og it just immediately clicked for them and and their was not really progression to get to it while with this you can clearly tell their was. So yes i do love both shows but dont you dare hate on this good one bc its not the same/like as the original or it didnt follow up their kids and grandkids as the successor thats what most reboots do recast the entire show from scratch no real connection the the og maybe small past things but overall it shouldn’t be the same

In the original series they showed magic seem so real, it aint never reach that level Btw the power of three was a passive power what enhances their abilities, it wasnt an active power at all, its just annoying

The CW have had some good shows but i believe they needed a stronger budget for the special effects and writers producers / directors etc that actually cared for the legacy of the Charmed Universe

Honestly it’s the same show, these are the effects they would’ve used if the first charmed had come out later in life. Nostalgia has made people forget how cheesy the effects were the first time around. It’s just more about girl power than being sexy witches dating boys. That Charlie’s Angel’s style they had really drew people in, but I like this too for different reasons

I really enjoy the show, but something it's just not conecting with me it's their powers. Their powers are the main legacy from the profecy of the charmed ones, it's characteristic of each sister, and the fact that it's pretty much obvious the writters are struggling for develop them in the plot (from changing Maggie's powers in the first season to changing ALL their power in the middle of the show) it's kind of frustrating for me, seeing how their originals power are disappearing.
