Mrs. Potato Head is such a profound video concept that really drives the message home. That and Pacify her are two more faves of mine. Her insecurities, as most kids heading towards puberty and seeking attention, really showcased by her trying to prove her worth by trying to steal the other girl's boyfriend. The blonde girl was also Melanie, btw.

No. She said she came from a loving family. But, she has been told by fans and people about traumas they've endured and so she has made a voice for those people with creatively using child like imagery to bring attention to serious issues. It reminds me of child psychologists who use dolls to relax and communicate with kids that have gone through traumatic experiences or changes they are going through as they get older and don't know how to relate them. Melanie, in the story arc, is the doll telling their stories.

Honestly, I read pecify her as what she does *as a result* of the trauma from the song before. Like, she's just so desensitized that she doesn't actually care that she's hurting and using people and just wants someone to love her, and as a result of that pushes herself into some really fucked up situations, in which she just ends up getting hurt even more

I love that your in your Melanie era! I noticed you’ve mentioned how much you loved like the vintage decor and I wanted to let you know that there all or majority of it is Mel’s stuff. They love vintage stuff and most of the stuff you see is directed by her and a lot of the set designs is her aswell!
