Any hydroquinone product that's been out in the market for a very very long time, even in over the counter products, is very safe. But most important thing is how you use it and always in moderation! And for the love of all humanity, don't expose your face to the sun! Use a sunscreen but never ever go out without protection or better, avoid direct sun light to your face if possible! Also, be patient, results will appear in months not overnight, and always use a gentle light tested moisturiser after every use before your sunscreen.

I have a question. A couple of years ago I was waiting to get an appointment with a local dermatologist, which took nearly a year. While waiting to get an appointment I started seeing advertisements for Musely. I got tired of waiting for my appointment and decided to try Musely. After using it for a couple of months I saw immediate improvement. Then, I got an appointment with the local dermatologist. He wasn't happy with the dosages in the formula. He said if I continued using the high dosages the melasma will come back even darker. He has me on a regime, 1/3rd the dosage of Musely! I'm not seeing any improvement. He's offered to give me laser treatments, however, being a woman of color, I'm apprehensive,and refused the treatment. Usarla de poco a poco para que la piel no se irrite. Y por las mañanas usa vitamina c ,después un hydratante,luego el sunblock. El sunblock se tiene que re aplicar varias veces al día, aunque estes en casa. No sol para nada,absolutamente nada jamás nunca, es tu peor enemigo. usala unos 3 o 4 meses luego descansa por algunos meses .

I’m wondering whether to use hydroquinone the way it is generally used (every day for 3 months all over) or to use it every other day for 5 months and spot treat (this is what my dermatologist recommended). I’d appreciate any feedback!

NO. dont ever use hydroquinone or anyyyy bleaching treatment on your face while exposing to the sun. It will make your spots EVEN DARKER and hydroquinone is a veryyyy potent chemical that will literally make your melasma 100 times worse and it can even go blue. Orchronosis is a very important topic to investigate. please be careful

Lasers only remove pigmentation from the top layer of skin. The heat and frequency of the laser can even worsen dark spots if they are not set correctly. Lasers also cannot address the underlying issue causing pigment growth. Our dark spot medications work to regulate pigment growth so new layers of skin do not have dark spots.
