Lerderderg is the best spot imo for anyone learning to 4wd or going in pretty factory vehicles but if you want more green Yarra definitely has some nice tracks.
Thanks Darren! Appreciate it mate. And agreed Blackwood is like the epitome of what an Aussie town should be. Full of characters, stories and the bush and tracks on your doorstep.
That was me and my buddy in the 80s on rockey track. It’s a local favourite and pat couldn’t be more right about the whole state Forrest national park argument. So many tracks are being locked up in the local area and it’s very important we do our best to reclaim them as our own.
Considering it mate, but not too sure. RU-vid currently pays me in Monopoly money, which is cool and all, but I keep getting weird looks from the dude at the servo when I try to pay for my diesel with it...
Hi pat with your arb under body protection we’re you having problems fitting the back piece because our dealer said that the back plate doesn’t fit to the new Amaroks just wondering if it’s in general or is just my car
hey pat, dont know if you know but vic range track is still a gated and closed track. surely you wouldve seen the gate a track pushed in going around it
Pat you are great to watch. But I have to ask, were you stoned? Lol there was so much excitement up the hill climbs and your face was calm as a cucumber haha.
What more damage will your Amarok do ? Management vehicles rarely us the track. If the gate is open every fool with a 4x4 will use the track think about that damage. Harder access for fire? When the weekend warriors get on it with 35" tyres the ruts they leave will make it difficult access with fire trucks and the standard Land Cruisers Parks Vic drive. Your opinion is fun to spruke on telly Pat, but but it's not based in fact. I applaud your stance on responsible driving. Don't go knocking the land managers when you don't know what they are protecting. That track could have significant cultural values, water quality control issues, threatened flora and fauna, all protected by a little gate and trust in the public. It's well known that Victoria has some of the best off roading in Aus. The gates protect it for everyone.
Well said. Thought Pat would use this opportunity and his platform to educate and help protect our parks, not criticise essential works that provide fire safety and management access. What damage could Pats amaroks do? Pat gives a great example in his own video from 18:35. Poor form Pat.
100% agree. What's more, if it has gotten to the stage that Parks has blocked the trail, it's because people have already thrashed the area, damaged the trails, likely left garbage everywhere, and basically made the trails useless for their intended purpose. There needs to be a much stronger emphasis on teaching sustainable trail use and respecting the bush, rather than ranting at Parks for doing the only thing they have the resources and power to do after the fact.
I just want to point out that humans were not designed. That breakfast you made should be called 'Pommie Beans' because they are all English ingredients. Also, I'm impressed with your opinion on locked gates and I'm also relieved to hear someone who is deflating their tyres not calling it 'air down' because it is, in fact, deflating the tyres.
